"I'm sorry," Izuku said in a small voice, quiet and a little broken, a little watery, "I'm sorry that I didn't get you out sooner. I-I didn't expect them to move so quickly after the Council's rejection to their proposal."
Katsuki gazed down at Izuku, a bright spot on the large, dingy bed that could have been a sad metaphor for his life. The Doctor was a tiny thing compared to Katsuki. Delicate and soft, the opposite of Katsuki and all he had known up until the point he'd come under the purview of the Foundation. He'd felt an immediate draw to Izuku, the clumsy and kind Doctor that smiled at Katsuki and called him Kacchan like they were children. He didn't hesitate to chide Katsuki when he was doing something he wasn't strictly supposed to be doing or give him praise when he did something right. Izuku didn't hesitate to touch Katsuki, whether it was skin or stone, didn't flinch away when Katsuki engaged his augmentations.
