Work Text:
The Stars are with the Voyager
The stars stretch for miles, and miles, and miles, and miles, and miles, until the miles cease to matter anymore, like trying to measure a league in micrometers, because when it comes to the stars, even light years fall short of their infinities. If it were up to Taehyung, he’d explore every inch of those stars.
So why then, was he confined to walking around the same half mile radius of his house, the corner store, school, and Jimin’s place?
There is one reason, he supposes, as to why he hasn’t left earth; down the street Jimin waves a wild Hello with one hand, the other holding an already melting ice cream cone. His smile’s almost too big for his face, his eyes shining so brightly in the afternoon sun that it puts even Taehyung’s precious stars to shame.
There's something about Park Jimin, about his crescent eyes and infinite smiles that has Taehyung tripping, falling, gravitating into his orbit at a speed so fast it makes his heart pound. It's like he is a supernova; an exploding sun that Taehyung finds too bright to look at sometimes, reminding him that Jimin is forged of the same dust that formed the planets, stars, and even entire galaxies.. But seeing him now Taehyung knows; knows that Park Jimin is already a Universe, one that he could spend the rest of his life exploring.
