The whole gang was beat red. Avoiding eye contact, making excuses to leave. Even Allura wouldn't look at you.
You, on the other hand, were confused. You didn't think your question was that bad. You had a sudden feeling in your stomach, and you looked around nervously. Had you offended someone?
The question was how do humans reproduce. It was a simple question, but you had heard a lot from different species about theories on how humans are made. The common misconception being that they were delivered through giant birds, (storks? you think they are called). Since you were now living with the humans, you had often went to them to fact check some of these rumors.
Some of the things that they explained were odd to you. Their actions even odder.
For example; humans could pack bond with anything. Be it an inanimate object or whatever. You come to find that their first thought when seeing anything was FRIEND. It was funny to you. Humans (among your observations) were also indestructible. You found that they could continue on if need be when seriously injured. No matter how many bones are broken, or scars they have, they keep going. They really had no sense of self preservation.
You were fairly new to the team, and you were still getting used to living with humans.
Anyway, you thought that your question was well within reason. You looked each of them in the eye, wondering when they would answer your question.
"Allura?" You asked. She coughed and gestured to Shiro. "Why don't we let them explain. After all, they are human." Immediately after her sentence was finished they all left., leaving Shiro to clean up their mess. "Shiro?" You said, hopeful. After all this was a learning process for you.
His face turned an even darker shade of red before he cleared his throat.
"W-well. Humans sleep with each other to make b-babies." You cocked your head, not understanding. "But you were sleeping in my bed last night, and their seems to be no little human running around?" Allura coughed and busied herself with something else. Shiro rubbed at his face and sighed. "They mate with each other, and then..."
Shiro went on to explain the process of making babies, which you found to be horrible. You expressed your thoughts. He chuckled a bit. "Yeah, but it's just the way it goes." You nodded. "So, say if me and you "slept together", but you were not wearing a protection device, then my belly would swell." Shiro nodded, blushing at your example. "Does it hurt?" You asked.
"Um... I imagine the child birth process is painful, for the female." You nodded again. You understood now.
"Well it doesn't sound very nice." You stated, then promptly walked away.
Shiro practically collapsed.
"That was the most embarrassing thing I've ever done in my life" Allura burst into laughter.
