A comfortable silence amidst as Akito and Touya walk to Akito's house.
Touya's eyes flicker to look at Akito, finally taking notice of the strong gaze Akito's been giving him.
Concerned, Touya faces Akito and blinks. That brought Akito out of his trance. He shrinks a bit in embarrassment.
"Sorry, I was just, noticing our height difference," Akito eases. He says it a bit hesitantly.
"I just… I," He trails off, leaving Touya looking at him with curiosity, "I think I should be taller." His face seems to be pouting slightly.
He's so cute, Touya thinks after he sees the expression on Akito's face. Touya amusedly chuckles, "What makes you say that, Akito?"
"It just makes sense! I'm the brasher one between us, and at least I'd be able to ruffle your hair easier… Gah! You're not even that much taller than me," Akito retorts. "Y'know, I— forget it. You win," he admits in defeat in this unspoken battle of who deserves to be the tallest.
"Don't worry Akito, I wouldn't have minded if you were taller than me," Touya reassures without much of a thought.
They bicker for a bit with Akito somehow thinking Touya's trying to make fun of him. It's fun, it's refreshing, Akito's refreshing. Touya likes being with Akito.
Eventually Touya gets Akito to hold hands as an apology. He's thankful for being taller, as from this angle, he gets to see Akito's pouting face clearly. He's won, not for being taller, but for being lucky enough to have Akito by his side.

Having arrived earlier, Akito and Touya are in the kitchen. They're preparing and scourging for snacks for their movie date and Touya just wishes they could get to it faster. In the middle of their scavenge, Ena walks into the kitchen.
Ena makes a remark at Akito and he barks back. Touya's used to this with how much he's come over— It's to the point Ena likes to say he's family.
He couldn't fathom how happy that made him.
Ena leaves and Akito snarks. He turns to Touya, leaning to whisper in his ear a crude comment about Ena. Touya notes how Akito had to raise his heel just a little to reach him. "She's so annoying," Akito says, afterwards dropping himself down, but Touya's too busy to engage as he thinks about the small detail he's just learned about Akito. Infact, he thinks he should use his height to his advantage more often.
Touya then smiles to himself. Unlike Akito— who had to raise himself to reach Touya— Touya instead leans down to Akito's level, brushing his bangs, he takes this chance to plant a tiny peck on his forehead. Hopefully, Akito realizes just how enamored Touya is with him.
Akito's obviously surprised by the kiss, pausing in his steps when Touya kissed him, but it's not as if kisses were unfamiliar to them. Akito looks and blinks up at Touya. He too brushes Touya's bangs aside and returns the kiss.
Akito, once more, raised his heel, just to plant the kiss, all because he couldn't reach the other's forehead. This did not go unnoticed by Touya.

Finally, they're in Akito's room. Touya's back is leaning against the headboard of the bed, with Akito sitting on the front edge focusing on getting the movie playing on his phone. Touya's waiting patiently for him; indeed, he could wait for Akito forever.
Of course, Akito gets the movie started. Touya anticipates for Akito to lay beside him as they usually do. When this happens, he always uses this chance to wrap an arm around Akito's waist, potentially spooning him. It's such a fun cuddling position.
Though, this did not happen. Akito looks behind himself and at Touya, seemingly scanning his surroundings, before looking ahead again. Touya tilts his head at him curiously.
Akito scoots backwards a bit, before plopping himself onto Touya, with his back meeting the other's chest. Touya's legs are open on either side of Akito, and Akito snuggles himself right into Touya. They both adjust themselves comfortably in the new position.
"I just thought this'd be nice…" Akito trails off, silently asking for confirmation if Touya's okay with this.
Touya snugs his arms around Akito's stomach as an answer. Akito leans into Touya's warmth, accepting his response, and finally starts the movie.
A good while into the movie, Touya's eyes wander down at Akito. He realizes just how small Akito felt in his arms.
God, Touya almost wanted to cry. He loves Akito so much.
With his arms wrapped around Akito, he thinks how he doesn't ever want to let go. If he were to let go, who would protect Akito?
Yes, that's right. Akito's done so much for him, and Touya will make sure to repay him as much as possible with every given chance.
Subconsciously, Touya's grip on Akito's body becomes a bit tighter. I won't let anything happen to you, Akito, Touya silently vows to himself.
"Touya? What's up?" Akito asks, pausing the show. Touya notices he's been hugging a bit too hard, and his head has sunken down a bit, for he was lost in his thoughts.
Touya snaps out of it and looks up to Akito.
With a soft smile, "Don't mind me, I was just trying to readjust my spot."
Akito's content with this answer, he nods in understanding, and urges Touya to continue watching the movie with him. Akito shuffles a bit to feel more comfortable.
Thinking about the events that happened today, Touya remembers Akito not liking their height difference. Though, Touya's proud to say he differs in opinion. Not only is he taller, but he's overall just bigger in size. He likes that a lot. It truly helps him more than he realizes.
Hopefully, this body of mine will protect Akito.
Eventually, when they go to sleep, Touya will make sure to cage Akito in his arms, as long as it'll mean he'll protect Akito. He'll protect Akito from his worries and fears, he'll make sure of it.
I'd do anything for Akito, Touya declares in his head.
Touya buries his head closer in the crook of Akito's neck, resting himself there comfortably.
"You're really clingy today," Akito exclaims, though it's not as if he minds.
Rather, it's really just Touya's silent way of saying "I love you," to Akito.
Touya doesn't respond; instead, he just holds Akito closer to him.
Akito leans into the touch, but urges Touya again to continue watching the show as it's reached an exciting part. Touya, being so enamored with Akito, finally complies with watching the show. He embraces Akito closely, afraid of letting go.
They then bask in the comfort of each other.
Touya thinks he really likes being taller than Akito.
