[A bit about this trio we’re about to cover today:
The Soos was a sub-unit of TBOH consisting of three idols, Lee Soo Hyuk, Choi Jung Soo, and Kim Rok Soo. They present EDM music, 2 years after their debut.
Getting more recognition by sticking to their trio rather than when they were overshadowed by their other members, especially the maknae, Bae Puh Rum , The Soos later separated themselves following the recommendation of the chairman who recognized their potential to soar further.
Soon enough, The Soos would re-debut as a trio when TBOH disbanded after Lee Chul Min was dragged into a lawsuit after being exposed to all the bullying he did to the younger idols and trainees alike. One of his worst targets turned out to be his own group mate, Kim Rok Soo.
But hey, that story is for another day to roast.
Instead, our topic today would revolve around the adorable interaction among the ‘The Soos’ members even back when they were just a trainee.

“Aww, that’s it?”
That brown-haired idol puffed his cheeks in dissatisfaction, nearly yeeting his phone though thankfully it landed on the soft bed instead.
“What now?” A soft sigh escaped that reddish-brown-eyed male as he witnessed one of his boyfriends just casually tossing his phone away— an action that the brunet always repeated whenever he’s sulking over something.
“Well, he got click-baited again, it seemed.”
Laughing before he went back to munch on his night snack.
“Taco?”
Offering to the youngest, however, Rok Soo easily declined because he just brushed his teeth, it was going to be annoying if he had to redo it just because he ate. In fact, he just walked out of the shower, only wearing a robe, and his hair was still sopping wet when he saw a phone nearly hit him had he not stopped in his place.
“I just wanna see our relationship being documented. Do I have to go so low and pay a sasaeng for it??”
“I—”
Speechless with what he just heard, Rok Soo stared at the brunet before then responding to that idiotic claim.
“You want us to get tangled in a scandal, then crash and burn— do you even hear yourself?”
Pouting at the incredulous tone of one of his lovers, Jung Soo let out a low whine as he snuggled with Soo Hyuk, who was still eating his Taco, completely unfazed by his clinginess.
“Well, uh, not to that extent then. I just want to see cute moments of us together, ones that are not fan edits.”
“But haven’t you been watching our cute-moments compilation on YouTube and Twitter for like, hours already?”
Chuckling fondly over the brunet’s silliness, Soo Hyuk’s left-hand ruffles the younger male’s hair soothingly as he asked so.
“I want more.” Jung Soo sulked. “Not enough fluff! And the fact that we can’t take pictures or videos of ourselves is driving me crazy!”
Voice lowers significantly, the two still somehow heard him mumble—
“I just want to keep these memories of us from fading away…”
—And this had made the two black-haired men exchange glances before then, Lee Soo Hyuk found himself patting the brunet’s shoulder.
“Well, we could always make new memories, right? Ones that flashy enough that you’d never forget even without photos, maybe?”
Peeking from his pillow which he barely lowers from his face, Jung Soo asked, “Like what? Our schedule is packed, and you know that we can’t leave the building”
“Well, how about something that’s not as flashy, but still memorable regardless?”
Chiming into the conversation himself, Rok Soo was seen to be on his phone when Jung Soo turned at him.
“Here,” showing what’s on his screen, Jung Soo was soon greeted with another article marked as today’s news.
“The Leonids?” Taking the phone to read what the article is about, they also heard their maknae humming.
“They have been known to produce ‘meteor storms,’ which result in thousands of meteors streaking across the sky like a shower of falling stars.” He informed them, “We kinda missed the highlight, which is yesterday, November 16. But the article says that it would normally last for two nights. So, are you up for it?”
There’s no need for him to ask that, honestly, the answer is clear from how sparkly those dark-colored eyes have become.
“That’s a good idea~!” Lee Soo Hyuk voiced out the brunet’s excitement just right in time for the said idol to jump out of the sofa, seemingly getting all hyped again.
“Let’s go then! Let's not waste more time! it can start anytime soon!!”
Soo Hyuk ended up laughing softly at how energetic Jung Soo was as he wrapped their youngest with layers of clothes before grabbing some jackets for themselves.
“Alright alright, chief~ Lead us to the rooftop then.”
“With pleasure~!”
And that is how Rok Soo and Soo Hyuk found themselves being dragged from their shared bedroom to the rooftop, ignoring the fact that they were not supposed to run in the hallway.
Soon enough, the three of them arrived at the rooftop, pretty much out of breath from how Jung Soo trawled them through stairs rather than using the lift.
‘We are on the 3rd floor for fucks sake!’
And the rooftop was essentially the 8th floor if you ignored the flooring names.
However, as much as Rok Soo wished to scold the brunet, or at least complained about it, Jung Soo letting go of his hand had taken his attention the most.
“Whoa…”
An awed voice of the goofball could soon be heard as the two watched how their boyfriend stared at the sky which is now decorated with gleaming shooting stars.
“My, this is actually quite a magnificent sight”
Soo Hyuk whistled lowly himself as he finally caught his breath.
“Right? So pretty~” Jung Soo responded without peeling his eyes off the magical view.
“So,” A hand reaching out to hold the slightly older male, Rok Soo, who was last to recover asked the brunet, “Do you like it?”
“Like it?” finally turning around, revealing his hearty eyes, Jung Soo went to hug the youngest instead, “I love it, a lot. Thanks~!”
He was actually expecting Rok Soo to wiggle out of his hold like he normally would. However, much to his delight, the younger stayed. He didn’t hug him back, per se. But Jung Soo has not been pushed away.
Instead, he then hears their maknae speaks.
“I am glad then.” He said. “You’ve been working your ass off and tiring yourself for our sake.”
To carry their popularity up to the roof, was not in his job description, however, Jung Soo has voluntarily done all sorts of odd jobs within the industry, including leaving good reviews on two of his lovers’ names while also working so hard himself to not disappoint their fanbase.
Rok Soo and Soo Hyuk were not supposed to know about any of this. But seeing their energetic ball of sunshine get lethargic and being overly sensitive for the past few weeks was bound to bring up questions. To which, only now that the two were given the chance to confront this to the brunet.
“You shouldn’t have carried all of these burdens to yourself, Jung Soo. Rely on your boyfriends some more wouldn’t you?”
“I…”
Wasn’t prepared for the sudden exposure, Jung Soo was about to pull away but was hugged back by Rok Soo, at last , preventing him from leaving.
“Yes. We found out. It’s just hard to bring it up to you, since you were doing it for our sake. However—”
Putting his hand around the younger’s waist, Soo Hyuk who was only slightly taller than Jung Soo then ruffled the brown lock in affection.
“—Being alive is the best.” Repeating his catchphrase, Soo Hyuk then continued, “No fame or Monetary value is worth seeing your mental health crumbling before our eyes.”
“Let’s chase our future at our own pace, no need to go after other people's momentum.”
“We’re already going steady like this anyway, stop worrying over nothing and resulting in hurting yourself.”
- plop. plop.
Ended up being in a group hug, the coldness of the night was easily beaten with the warmth swelling from his heart…
Jung Soo has been so anxious, despite his demeanor he has a lot of worry behind his smiley facade. And those concerns aren’t even about himself, because more than anything in this world, he loves these two men so much that he’s willing to sacrifice all of himself to protect them.
From the ruthless netizens, from their crazy fans, and sometimes from their own demons.
But doing it alone has been so lonely on his part. So having these small yet memorable moments is exactly what he needed to reward himself for all the troubles he went through.
He had never thought that the innocent plan of stargazing over meteor showers would end up with him breaking down on the rooftop in the middle of the night.
‘The make-up crew would kill me tomorrow.’
Though well, leaving tomorrow matters to his tomorrow self. Jung Soo felt more than just content to be able to share this night with his two dearly beloved.
Surely this would become one of the core memories that he would never be able to forget for the rest of his life…
