Work Text:
“Come on, Vil! I know that you can do it, don’t chicken out on me or else the dragon will think of you as their lunch.” Malleus jokes, but Vil was already shrieking and the housewarden’s cheeks were already deeply shaded with red - like a tomato, Malleus thought.
“For Fairest Queen’s sake, Malleus! Don’t you dare rush me! I’m actually doing my best, but this lizard kept moving!” Vil shouted, and Malleus laughed so hard as Vil was already struggling from the wriggling dragon.
He was just joking, but Vil is already spouting numerous words.
“Never knew that you’re the rapper type, pretty boy.” There’s a slight hint of amusement in Malleus’ tone as he enjoyed teasing the other housewarden.
“And I never knew that you’re such a useless tutor yourself, PRINCE Malleus Draconia of Briar Valley.” That made Malleus chuckle, as it was indeed expected to have some exchange barters with Vil - the sharp-tongued beauty is honest and unwavered when it comes to perfection.
“It’s either you’ll teach me or I’ll just look for another partner, you friendless dweeb!” Vil added - Malleus knew that it was just a spur of the moment, as the Pomefiore housewarden was shaken and taken aback after releasing all that energy.
“I’m sorry-” It was quick, as if it’s already a reflex for Vil to suddenly apologize to Malleus, but Malleus just smiled at him.
It was indeed a fact that Malleus doesn’t have many friends - he practically grew up as royalty, and there were a lot of rules to follow. Malleus thought that going to Night Raven College would help him gain some few trusted friends, but to his dismay, there were few to none who wanted to talk to him.
“Well, I’ll properly teach you now. So, buckle up, Vil.” Malleus redirected the atmosphere and tried to make the mood a little bit bearable. The other housewarden must’ve picked up - quickly, as he tried to make more effort into dragon riding.
“If I feel nauseous and fall from the sky, I swear that I’ll curse you and make you eat a hundred poison apples, Malleus!” Vil joked around, still skeptical if the housewarden will talk to Malleus and properly apologize, or just avoid the topic at all.
“You won’t fall if you’ll properly listen to my instructions, pretty boy.” Malleus teased, which made Vil blushed a little more.
“Just-” It was almost a murmur, but Malleus heard it.
“Just don’t make me fall, Malleus.” Vil’s voice was trembling, so Malleus stopped the teasing and focused on what he was supposed to do.
Malleus gently touched Maleficarum, his own pet dragon, and talked to him through telepathy.
‘Hello, handsome Leafy! Please be gentle on Vil, okay? I don’t want to hurt my pretty boy.’ Malleus instructed Leafy, and the dragon seemed happy about it, as he was nodding all along.
“I’ll guide you, pretty boy. So, just trust me on this one. Leafy is a good boy, he was just happy to see you.” Malleus ensured Vil, which made the other housewarden calm down a little.
Malleus fixed Vil’s saddle and his own - although he’s already a great dragon rider, he must always ensure his safety, as his grandmother, the great Maleficent has been reminding him since he was a kid.
“Leafy?” Malleus heard Vil, as he was fixing the belts on his saddle.
“Yeah, Leafy, my pet dragon that we’re currently riding. Short for Maleficarum.” Malleus explained, which made Vil laugh.
“Well, that’s unexpected of you. Naming a dragon Leafy is something that you don’t see everyday.” Vil snorted, and Malleus just smiled.
“Maleficarum is quite long, pretty boy. Also, Leafy loved his name. Right, Leafy?” Malleus expectantly asked the dragon, and Leafy just nodded.
‘But pretty boy is longer than Vil though’ Vil thought, but he just shrugged the idea as Malleus told him that they’re already set to fly.
A few moments later, Malleus was already riding Leafy, he was too close to Vil, and the Diasomnia housewarden was able to smell the fragrant perfume that Vil uses.
He was in a trance, but quickly calmed himself down - he didn't want to cause another misunderstanding between Vil and himself.
“Our goal is to reach the other point across the other hill, while I’m here to instruct you on how to ride a dragon.” Malleus explained - Vil was still flushed, but the housewarden just nodded at Malleus.
“Just to make sure, we won’t fall, right?” Vil asked.
“Yeah, we won’t, and if we do, I’ll eventually catch you, pretty boy. So, trust me on this one and handle the stirring. Leafy’s a good boy, so we’ll be there in a few.” Malleus ensured Vil, and it seems like it’s working, as the other housewarden is now getting ready for take off.
“Okay, I’ll trust you, but for fairest queen’s sake, Malleus. Hold on to me tightly, the last thing that I want to have is me or you, or the both of us falling from dragon riding. I don’t want that to headline the news.” There’s a slight hint of anxiousness on Vil’s voice, but it was still firm and held much power.
“Alright, your highness, pretty boy. Rather than talking, let’s do the flying now, shall we?” Malleus was amused, to keep his smirk hidden seems like an impossible task to do, but Vil just rolled his eyes.
Malleus gently patted Leafy’s back, and the dragon started to flap its wings and take off. If his calculations were correct, they’ll reach the other point in around 5 minutes or so - in hopes that nothing happened during their flight.
Everything was going smoothly - Malleus thought that the wind was going along with their short flight. The gentle breeze hit their faces and it was quite chilly (it's colder when you're on top of the clouds).
Since Malleus is a fairy himself and can shift into a dragon, this chilly breeze is not a problem to him, but it's the opposite for Vil.
The Pomefiore housewarden is hastily yet firm in holding the rope that maneuvers Leafy, but it sure is cold - much colder than what Vil has been expecting.
With Vil's continuous shivering and shallow breath - Malleus then finally took notice of what's happening on the other housewarden. The smaller frame of Vil is shaking, with the current thin clothes that he's wearing - the cold easily slips into his body.
It was quicker than light it may be as an overstatement, but upon seeing Vil's current state, Malleus immediately hugged the other housewarden - tightly.
It must've shook Vil, but he was really having a hard time to speak nor move, especially that it felt like oxygen was leaving his body - it was being sucked by the pressure and coldness of the wind.
"Hang in there, pretty boy. Don't you dare pass out on me!" Malleus told the now heavily breathing Vil.
Alas, the problem that Malleus has been thinking came along. The strong winds are now gashing out towards their direction - it’s getting more difficult for Leafy to fly and for Malleus to maneuver his pet dragon.
It was chaotic - Malleus is struggling, Vil is experiencing extreme colds and almost near passing out, and Leafy has been battling with the strong current of the wind.
So, while tightly hugging Vil and maneuvering Leafy - Malleus did something that was quite impossible yet only the impeccable thing left to do - he didn’t have an option to begin with.
The struggle to keep him, Vil, and Leafy safe is at its peak - so, it took much courage, strength, and determination to just dove down.
‘We could do this, Leafy. I’ll maneuver you and you keep the balance together, okay?’ It was on the spot, but thankfully Malleus can communicate with Leafy or any dragons through telepathy. The dragon just roared as an affirmation.
Bellowing quite the loud roar, Leafy managed to use his roar and magic to balance their falling. It kept the speed of their fall - slower. Malleus took this chance to dove down and release themselves from the budging danger of the forming clouds.
‘It seems like it’s going to rain.’ Malleus thought to himself, and before they went straight to the forests, Malleus immediately maneuvered Leafy to slowly lean its body upward.
It would be an understatement to say that Malleus and Leafy did a good job from their emergency course of actions - but it was indeed an intelligent move.
‘Good boy, Leafy! You did well there.’ Malleus commended Leafy, because the dragon deserved it. He was still cradling Vil who’s current state is still disheveled from the cold.
“Hey, pretty boy. We’re almost there. Hang on for a moment, okay?” Malleus gently whispered in Vil's ear, and the other housewarden just grumbled - too weak to even make a response.
Malleus didn’t lie, because in just a moment that he whispered it in Vil, they were already landing beneath a tall sakura tree.
Leafy gently flapped its wings for a safe landing - with the help of Malleus and his maneuvering, they were all safely grounded once again.
Malleus gently slid his other foot so he could go down from the saddle, while Vil is now slowly gaining his momentum - not quite fast, but still gaining some slight pink shade on his cheeks made Malleus feel a little bit better.
“Oh, thank the thorns queen that your shade is coming back to life. You made me so worried, pretty boy.” There’s a slight hint of dramatic acting in his tone, but Malleus was sincere and was extremely worried about Vil.
“Come on, Malleus. Please stop with the pout and help me get down on this saddle.” Although still weak, that didn’t stop Vil from bantering with Malleus.
Malleus finds it amusing how Vil can still banter with him - the current state of the other housewarden is not at its best, but his sassiness is at its highest tier of its own.
“Want me to carry you down, pretty boy?” Malleus still has the guts to joke around, but Vil just snapped at him.
Though Malleus enjoyed teasing Vil, he then stopped and helped Vil to get down on the saddle.
“Thank you.” Although a little bit soft, Malleus was glad to have been able to give any sort of help towards Vil.
“The pleasure is all mine, pretty boy.” The Diasomnia housewarden is beaming from one ear to another. Vil just chuckled on him.
Malleus just nodded - it suddenly felt awkward and chilly - Malleus was slowly becoming nervous, upon realizing that there’s nothing left to talk about.
The sudden silence is deafening to both of the housewardens, and Leafy is now slumbering beneath the tall sakura tree.
The budging storm clouds are now dispersing from their view, but the wind is still chilly. Malleus even noticed that Vil is still slightly shivering.
“Pretty chilly out here, but we can’t go back yet.” Malleus hesitantly started a new conversation, but Vil just looked at him - nose stuffy, shoulders puffing, and his face was tainted with a deep shade of red.
Now, Malleus is genuinely nervous - upon looking at Vil, the Pomefiore housewarden must’ve gotten sick - it was too high and the weather was too cold for him, to make the matter worst, from mellow and warm temperature, they immediately submerged into a chilly one.
“You okay, Vil?” Malleus asked. Vil shook his head, pertaining that he’s not.
Malleus slowly walked towards Vil, looking intently and concerned. He was battling with his thoughts that it was his fault all along and that he should’ve been more careful.
He was battling with his thoughts while he’s slowly walking towards Vil - heads looking down, as if he was already beat up. Malleus was only brought back from his haze when Vil gently patted his shoulders.
“Don’t beat yourself up, Malleus. It’s not your fault.” Vil said, but Malleus just sighed.
“Well, it definitely is my fault, so don’t try to use charmspeak on me, pretty boy.” He got back on Vil, but the housewarden ain’t having any of this banter - Vil already has a fever and the last thing that the man wanted to hear is Malleus blaming himself.
“Sweetheart, it’s not your fault. Charmspeak or not, it really isn’t your fault.” Malleus suddenly blushed, even though he shouldn’t have.
‘He just called me sweetheart!’ Malleus thought, suddenly forgetting any doubts that he had.
“It was my fault to begin with.” Vil said - breaking Malleus’ trance.
Malleus was puzzled and looked at Vil who was then struggling to stand his ground - fighting the urge to just lay down and sleep.
“First, I already know your secret, so at the beginning, I just really wanted to make sure that it’s the truth, but to my dismay, it didn’t happen. Secondly, I wanted you to tutor me so I could just be with you.” Vil explained.
It took much courage and strength to say this to Malleus, but Vil wasn’t having it anymore. On the other hand, Malleus was still puzzled, like a child who was being taught something for the first time.
“What do you mean you know my secret? Also, you could just ask me to hangout, you know yourself that in terms of closeness, it’s you and the some Diasomnia students whom I can consider as friends.” Malleus told Vil, but the housewarden just pouted.
Before letting Vil to answer his question, Malleus finally took the last step to close his gap between Vil and him.
“You’re shivering, pretty boy. Here, use this.” Malleus gave his Diasomnia coat to Vil, and the housewarden just accepted it - even though it’s currently clashing on his outfit. Malleus helped Vil to put the coat on, so he gently draped it on the housewarden.
“How about you? Aren’t you cold?” Vil asked, and Malleus just shook his head.
The housewarden just looked at Vil after helping him to be more comfortable and feel warm - as if Malleus was expecting an answer.
“As for your question, I just hope that you wouldn’t get mad at me from knowing, because I swear to the Fairest Queen that it was just an accident that I saw you that day.” Vil was babbling, as if it was a grave offense to know Malleus’ secret.
“I wouldn’t be mad at you, pretty boy. I could never be mad at you. Now tell me what you’ve known about me, darling. I promise to the Thorns Queen that I wouldn’t be mad at you at any rate.” Although almost cheesy, Malleus blurted it out.
Malleus thought that he currently looks like Puss in Boots from Shrek, because he was genuinely curious to what Vil has to say about the ‘secret’ that he just knew about the housewarden.
“Stop looking at me like that!” Vil told Malleus, but the Diasomnia housewarden has other plans than to stop doing with the pleading eyes.
“Looking like what?” Malleus playfully asked, but Vil just sighed.
“Stop looking at me like a lost puppy. For fairest queen’s sake, you’re a dragon not a puppy-” Vil blurted it out, but Malleus just raised his eyebrow.
“A dragon, must you describe. Why do you think so, pretty boy?” Although Malleus knew that Vil already knew his secret, he just wanted to confirm that it’s Pomefiore’s housewarden who saw him that day.
“Well, you just clearly look like one, okay?” Vil was nervous as he looked at Malleus’ face - the other housewarden was just looking at him intently or rather amused.
“Mind to enlighten me, pretty boy? It seems like I’m just lost on how you see me as a dragon and not as a puppy.” It seems like a challenge and bottomless pit to play with Vil, but Malleus is ready to take a huge leap just to know the answer that he’s been wanting to hear.
“Oh, come on! For fairest queen’s sake, Malleus! I know that you already know what I’m talking about. I don’t need to blurt it out already.” There’s a hint of sarcasm and annoyance in Vil's voice.
“Maybe I’m getting it or maybe not. Now, tell me, pretty boy. What’s my secret that you’ve recently learned?” It was like Malleus was using charmspeak or intimidation, but he just genuinely wanted to tease Vil.
Vil pursed his lips, still shivering, but you can see how he’s now actually annoyed by Malleus' acts.
Malleus just chuckled and just nodded along. He knew that if he kept pushing Vil to his limit, the housewarden would just kick him flying.
“Alright, no more filter between us, pretty boy. Now tell me, what’s that secret that you knew about me?” Took a lot of effort to be serious, but Malleus pretty much handled it well.
Malleus just wants to blurt it out already, but he just wants Vil to say it first.
“Well, for starters, I know that you’re a fae, but your secret that you can turn into a dragon yourself just shook me. Secondly, your dragon is beautiful, not that you’re not handsome yourself-” Vil was babbling and Malleus just laughed hard.
Holding his stomach and kept trying to stop himself from laughing, but Malleus failed big time - Vil was so surprised and annoyed at the same time.
“I’m sorry, I just had to laugh - I can’t hold it in, pretty boy - you’re beautiful yourself, the fairest of them all, MY LOVE.” There’s a strong yet lovely tone when Malleus added the endearment on his sentence and Vil was caught-off guard.
“My love?” Vil was shy to even ask, but it really did catch him off guard. He was so used to being called a pretty boy, but Malleus never called him my love for once.
“Well, silly you. I know that you knew it already - my secret per se.” Malleus started, and Vil was still lost, yet he was listening intently.
“It’s not an accident, because it’s intentional in the first place. Yes, I can turn into a dragon, and thank you for saying that I’m handsome and beautiful, but darling, so are you.” Malleus continued.
Now, Vil is such a blushing mess, although still shivering from his fever and colds.
“So, if it’s intentional, then why did you do it in the first place? Why did you turn into a dragon upon knowing that I was watching you all along?” There are so many thoughts running to Vil’s mind, and Malleus must’ve caught on.
‘Seriously, Vil is such an airhead sometimes.’ He thought and just chuckled.
“Well, it’s much better to do it that way. It’s easier said than done - I can’t just tell you that I am a dragon myself then turn into one afterwards.” Malleus explained.
“If I did that, then you’ll either be shocked, terrified, or you might want to avoid me, which I clearly don’t want to happen.” He continued explaining and Vil was just silent.
“I can’t lose a friend, you know how difficult it is for me to have one, so I can’t just gamble. Also, there’s this budging feeling that kept me going into a circle - I was terrified that you might hate me if you knew it from someone else.” His voice was weak and sad.
The thought of Vil hating him is just a taboo for Malleus.
“I could never hate you, Malleus. I’m sorry that you went through something like this. You’re beautiful and everything - I’m still the fairest though, but you know what I mean.” Vil assured Malleus.
“May I?” Vil asked Malleus, as he opened his arms as wide as he could - as if asking Malleus for a tight hug, and now Malleus was the one who became a blushing mess.
“You just want to make yourself warm.” Malleus joked around, but eventually hugged Vil.
“Yeah, it’s cold, and you’re warm. I feel warm when I’m with you.” Malleus didn’t even know that Vil had it in him, but the Pomefiore housewarden sure did know how to play with his words, Malleus thought.
It was a wholesome moment for the two of them, it’s as if they’ve unlocked a core memory together.
The cold breeze felt like the warm spring wind that envelopes Malleus and Vil - as if every restless thing that they’ve been dealing with were suddenly lifted up.
The hug was a needed gesture for the two housewardens, as they now felt like a piece of them was now finally completed.
Leafy grumbled, waking up from his slumber - which shook Malleus and Vil. Suddenly, the atmosphere felt awkward, but the kind of awkwardness that makes them shy and loved.
“So, what now?” Malleus tried to break the ice, but Vil just kept silent.
“Haven’t had the chance to properly instruct you on dragon riding, so maybe we could do it again? Only if you wanted to.” Malleus was hopeful, he really wanted to teach Vil and kind of have a ‘date’ as he thought to himself.
“I’ll think about it, Malleus.” Vil answered, and Malleus just pouted.
“But we could go somewhere else, the two of us.” The Pomefiore housewarden added, as if hinting that he wants to be with Malleus as well.
“So, like a hangout, date, or something?” Malleus asked - just making sure that he’s not being ambitious.
“Whatever you wanted to call it, I prefer it to be a date though, handsome dragon.” Vil winked at Malleus, making the Diasomnia housewarden blushed more.
Malleus felt like he was a teen who just hit puberty. He was wailing inside, after Vil called him a handsome dragon.
“A date it is, my love. Never knew that you wanted me so bad. Oh, you wanted me all along.” Malleus was still playful and Vil just laughed along with him.
“Yeah right, darling. Now let’s go, it’s cold.” Vil said. Thankfully, it was already a walking distance to their school, so it’s much better to walk than to ride Leafy.
Vil was already walking towards school when he looked at Malleus - as if he forgot to tell him something.
“Another thing, I knew that you loved me all along, you’re not so secretive yourself, my prince.” Vil blurted out with a straight face, which shook Malleus.
“What?” He couldn’t believe it, Vil knew all along that Malleus loved him.
“Don’t worry, silly. I love you too!!” Vil smirked at him and laughed loudly while walking along.
Today has been a rollercoaster ride for Malleus, and he didn’t even know that this day would be such an amazing one.
He couldn’t believe that Vil just blurted that he loved him as well. As if he was in a trance, but Malleus knew better.
‘Hey, Leafy! Wanna head home first? I’ll just walk along with Vil.’ Malleus told Leafy and the dragon just rolled his eyes at him before flapping its wings and went flying towards their dorm.
Vil isn’t quite that far - though Malleus still sprinted towards him.
“Hey, pretty boy.” Malleus’ smile was beaming from ear to ear - as if he was the happiest man in the world, because he certainly does think that he currently is.
“Took you long enough. Too shocked by my confession that much?” There’s a hint of playfulness in Vil’s voice which Malleus finds adorable and endearing.
“Well, I never knew that this day would come, my love.” Malleus told the truth, because he couldn’t believe that Vil actually loved him.
Malleus scooped near Vil, so they could walk side-by-side. He was contemplating whether they should hold hands or is it too quick to happen.
“Silly you! It’s not that difficult to love someone as caring and patient as you, Malleus. Also, I may or may not have had a crush on you when we first met.” Vil was so beautiful and handsome at the same time, as if he was sculpted to become the beacon of beauty itself.
“You did? Wow, I never knew that you wanted me so badly, pretty boy.” Now, Malleus is back to his teasing and playful banter, but to his shock, Vil just nodded along.
“Well, prince charming. I do want you so badly, so now you’re mine, and mine alone.” Vil claimed, and that’s too spicy and fierce - Malleus thought.
“It’s actually easier said than done, but I’m yours all along - since the first time that we met, I fell hard - harder than you could imagine.” Now this turned out to be a better confession than what Malleus kept running to his mind.
“We’re idiots in love.” Funnily, they’re synchronous when they say it.
“So, what are we?” Malleus was so hesitant to ask this, because they just confessed and this is the first time that he ever confessed to someone, so he really didn’t know the next step to do.
“What do you want us to be?” Vil turned the question back to Malleus.
If Malleus was to decide, he wanted to spend a lifetime with Vil, but this is all new to him and he wants to make sure that Vil would be comfortable with his decisions as well.
“For starters, we could just hold hands and have our date later.” There’s a slight hesitation on Malleus’ voice, because he really wants to cherish Vil and their time together.
“I’m new to this stuff and if I were to be asked, I’ll go straight to becoming your lover, but I know that it’ll be quite fast, so I just want to enjoy my time with you while we work things out.” Malleus added.
Vil held Malleus’s hand and kept giving him lots of gentle squeezes.
“We don’t need to rush some stuff, darling. We have loads of time. Right now, let’s just go back to our school, okay?” Vil’s assurance is actually a huge help for Malleus.
Malleus grew up quite timid and almost alone, so having Vil as his partner and companion is actually a blissful and ecstatic experience for him.
“Well, I’m just glad that I confessed. Though, mostly it’s yours, but to my fairest Vil, I love you.” Malleus genuinely told Vil while both of them were walking - hands still held.
“I don’t want to cry today, so don’t make me. I’m sick, tired, and shivering - the last thing that I want to do is swiping my snot and look ugly in front of you.” Malleus knew that Vil was just joking, but he sincerely smiled at the other housewarden.
“I will repeat it over and over. I won’t get tired of telling you that I love you and that you’re the most gorgeous and selfless person that I’ve ever met.” It’s the truth - Malleus kept giving praises and appreciation towards Vil, making the Pomefiore housewarden blush.
“And I’m thankful as well, as you’re the kindest person, my handsome prince charming.” Vil replied.
It doesn’t need to have many words, but the absolute genuinity of their emotions and love were boundless and have soared into various heights of feelings.
Malleus and Vil both felt the love that they’ve been wanting and both of them knew that they totally deserve it.
While walking hand-on-hand, Malleus feels safe and warm with Vil.
“Hey, pretty boy. Still wanna learn how to ride a dragon?” Malleus asked all of the sudden, and Vil just looked at him - questionably.
“Maybe?” Vil was skeptical - he wants to learn how to ride a dragon, but he’ll need to recover first and will also prepare proper clothes this time.
“Well, you can ride my back for now - I’m a dragon and I have a mighty back.” Malleus proudly said.
“What are you plotting right now, Malleus?” Vil asked.
“Nothing, my love. You seemed tired already, and also just wanna act like a charming prince sometimes.” Malleus winked at Vil, but the Pomefiore housewarden just rolled his eyes.
“I’m fine, Malleus. I like it when I hold your hand - it feels warm. Also, stop being so cheesy already.” Vil pouted, and it took a lot of effort for Malleus not to kiss this gorgeous person in front of him.
“Aight, pretty boy! I also like holding your hand, hugging you, and complimenting you - you deserve every appreciation and love, my darling.” If ants could snatch Malleus, they will. The Diasomnia housewarden is just too sweet with his flowery words right now.
It was such a nice day for the both of them - with love floating around the air and just absolute fluff, Malleus and Vil have been enjoying their walk.
Still holding each other’s hands, they both kept it simple yet full of love and adoration. Once in a while, they’ll just look at each other, smile brightly, and gently squeeze their hands together.
As if the two housewarden were glued side-by-side, they’re inseparable. They’re almost near the school gate when Malleus told Vil to stop for a moment.
“Can I hug you before we go inside the campus?” Malleus asked for consent, and Vil just nodded at him - smiling warmly and eyes filled with sincerity.
Upon having Vil’s approval, Malleus hugged the other housewarden tightly.
“Thank you, pretty boy. Thank you for being my friend, my partner, and for making me feel and experience things that I’ve never known before. You’re the fairest, the brightest, and the most lovable of them all.” Malleus whispered to Vil.
Malleus is a one-of-a-kind man, Vil thought.
“And I’m lucky to love you and be with you all along, Malleus. I love it when you compliment me and call me ‘pretty boy’. I love it when you give me butterflies in my stomach, and I love it when you make me feel loved at times when I can’t love myself.” Vil told Malleus.
The Pomefiore housewarden didn't need to reply, but he did. Malleus wasn’t expecting one, as he just wanted to pour his gratitude and appreciation to Vil.
Although it’s just a quick tight hug, both of them feel much better - though Vil still needs to take some rest as he still has some slight fever.
After arriving in front of NRC’s gate - it was then time to say their goodbyes for the day. It was a long day for Malleus and Vil, but they felt ecstatic and joyful about the things that happened.
They were like teenagers who were madly and deeply in love (they actually do).
“See you later, pretty boy. Don’t forget our date - maybe, tomorrow?” Malleus said - he’s still holding Vil’s hands after they hugged each other earlier.
“See you, my prince. Pick me up tomorrow. Maybe we could have another dragon ride tutoring. So, I could learn how to ride you.” Vil winked at him then giggled before he quickly ran towards their dorm.
Malleus was shocked by Vil's words - ‘what a naughty pretty boy’ Malleus thought.
Soon after, Malleus followed Vil and went to his dorm.
This day’s actually the best - he confessed, he found love, and he has a date tomorrow - Malleus is sure in a trance - skipping happily, not minding the other NRC students who are now looking at him.
Malleus feels fulfilled - as if his inner child was experiencing something that it never experienced before. On the other hand, Vil just arrived at his room and was experiencing the same.
They both knew that love at first was easier said than done, but their will to make their bond stronger as friends, partners, and lovers is at its peak and will always be a priority.
It felt like their minds were interconnected, as they both think that it’s funny how their first dragon riding lesson turned into a chaotic confession.
And soon, their love will grow - prouder, stronger, and filled with experience and other emotions.
Their waving hearts are now slowly getting the love that it deserves - closer to being happy from the forever that they both knew. It’s as if their dreams came true.
- THE END-
