   Summary

   Elaera Velaryon has long lost her family in the Dance with Dragons. Her mother and brothers have all been murdered by The Greens and she is taken from her war-time sanctuary in the Vale to her childhood home in King's Landing. She's surrounded by her family's murderers everywhere she turns. Most frustrating of all is Prince Aemond "Kinslayer" Targaryen. Elaera and him have a lifetime of history, first as childhood friends and then a short-lived engagement between the two before the Civil War heated up. Now, Elaera can hardly stand to look at him without imagining him atop his dragon, murdering her younger brother. Alicent is insistent that the only way to leave the fiery hatred of the House of the Dragon behind is to rekindle the two's past engagement.
