Chapter Text

It was an early Friday morning when the alarm in Steve Harrington’s and Eddie Munson’s bedroom went off. Steve grumbled as he reached out and shut it off. Steve Harrington stood at 5’11” and had poofy brown hair and brown eyes. Eddie rolled over and grabbed onto Steve as Steve shut his alarm off. Eddie stood at 5’10” and had long thick wavy brown hair and brown eyes.

“Mmm Eddie. I need to get up for work,” Steve yawned as he tried to push Eddie off him. Eddie looked up at Steve and pouted as Steve wiggled out of the bed. The metal head sat up in bed, and watched as Steve pulled on a pair of sweatpants. As Steve left the room to use the bathroom in the hallway, Eddie climbed out of bed, put on pants and a shirt before following Steve to the bathroom.

Down the hallway Nancy was sitting up in bed looking down at her girlfriend Robin as she slept. Nancy Wheeler was 5’4” and had permed curly brown hair and bright blue eyes. When Nancy realized it was almost 6am, she leaned down, and gently shook her girlfriend awake. As Robin woke up, she grumbled, rolled away from Nancy and tried to go back to sleep.

“Honey, you need to get up and get ready for work,” Nancy said firmly. Robin Buckley was 5’8” and had shoulder length dark dirty blonde hair with bright blue eyes and freckles all over her skin. Robin grumbled as she tried to pull the blanket over her. Nancy rolled her eyes as she got out of bed. As Nancy left the bed, Robin opened her eyes and looked around for her girlfriend.

“Come on Rob. Time to get up for work,” Nancy smiled as she walked into the bathroom that was in their bedroom. Robin quickly got out of bed and followed Nancy into the bathroom, not wanting to be left alone.

A half an hour later, Steve was sitting at the table with Eddie eating some toast with coffee when Robin stumbled into the kitchen, with Nancy following close behind her. When Steve saw his best friend, he grinned and stood up from the table.

“Hey Rob. Hey Nancy. We made fresh coffee,” Steve grinned as he ruffled Robin’s hair. Robin huffed as she grabbed onto Steve’s hand before trying to ruffle his hair. Nancy rolled her eyes as she poured two cups of coffee.

After the best friends fought for a few moments Robin settled down at the kitchen table next to Nancy. Nancy smiled at her girlfriend and gave her a cup of coffee. Robin thanked Nancy and started to drink. The curly haired woman smiled and leaned against Robin.

Soon after the four drank their coffee, Nancy and Robin said their goodbyes to Steve and Eddie before heading off to work. Steve and Eddie uttered their goodbyes as Steve looked through the closet for a coat. Eddie walked up behind Steve and held him close.

“I don’t want you to work,” Eddie mumbled as he kissed the back of Steve’s neck. Steve shrugged Eddie off of him and put on his coat. As soon as Steve was dressed, he turned around to see Eddie pouting at him.

“Hey. You’ll be fine. I won’t be gone all day. Plus you have Storm to watch,” Steve smiled at Eddie. Storm was biologically Robin’s and Eddie’s child, but she knew Robin and Nancy as her moms, and Steve and Eddie as her uncles. Storm stood at about 34” tall and had long thick wavy brown hair and bright blue eyes. Eddie slowly nodded in agreement. Soon Steve kissed Eddie before heading outside to his car.

As soon as Eddie watched Steve pull away, he walked to the living room, pulled a new fantasy book he was reading off the bookshelf and sat on the recliner. After reading for about thirty minutes, Eddie was interrupted by the sound of small footsteps entering the room. The metal head looked up from his book to see Storm standing in the living room rubbing her eyes.

“Hey kiddo,” Eddie spoke softly as he got off the recliner. Storm whined as she looked around looking for Robin and Nancy. As Eddie picked up the small child, Storm mumbled unhappily as her uncle held her and walked into the kitchen.

When they entered the kitchen, Eddie gently set Storm down in her booster seat and buckled her in. The toddler mumbled softly and kept looking around for her mothers. Eddie smiled as he pulled the breakfast Nancy prepared for her daughter out of the fridge and set it out on the tray. Storm mumbled happily when she saw her favorite fruit being set in front of her.

As Storm started to eat, Eddie poured some milk into a sippy cup and set it on the tray as well before warming up a slice of toast for the toddler. The toddler giggled and made happy noises as she ate one of the strawberries Nancy diced up for her. Eddie sat down at the table as Storm happily ate her food.

After breakfast, Eddie was putting Storm’s shoes and coat on her. Storm kept mumbling away, as Eddie put his own shoes and coat on before opening the front door. The toddler looked up at her uncle before slowly walking outside, making sure her uncle was following her.

“I’m right here. Are you ready for our walk?” Eddie asked the toddler as he smiled. Storm nodded as she walked out to the sidewalk and watched her uncle. Eddie walked up to Storm and held her hand as they started to walk down the block.

“Eddie,” Storm mumbled happily as Eddie and her took their walk. When Eddie heard his name, he smiled down at the toddler. Storm rarely talked which was the opposite of her mother Robin, but she did share other quirks with her mother. Soon Storm pulled away from Eddie and walked in front of him.

As Storm walked ahead, the toddler kept picking up small pebbles in the sidewalk and kept giving them to Eddie. Eddie smiled at the child as she explored her surroundings. Soon Storm was grabbing onto Eddie’s jeans, and laying against him. The metal head picked Storm up, held her close, and walked back to their home.

As they walked home, Storm mumbled happily as she pointed out the different lawn decorations in everyone's yards. Eddie grinned at the toddler and acted all excited over what Storm was showing him as he also pointed things out. Soon they arrived back at the house.

As the two walked inside, Eddie set Storm on the floor, and removed her coat and shoes. After Eddie undressed Storm, he stood up and took off his leather jacket and removed his shoes. Storm sat on the floor patiently as she waited for Eddie.

“Hey kiddo. Do you want lunch?” Eddie smiled as he looked down at Storm. Storm nodded as she slowly got off the floor and followed Eddie into the kitchen. The metal head grinned as Storm tried to keep up with him.

“Up,” Storm whined at Eddie when she stopped and looked up at him. Eddie stopped and looked down at Storm before picking her up.The man nuzzled Storm before he set her down in her booster seat and buckled her in.

A few things Eddie did notice about Storm was, she was more talkative when she was alone with him, than she did when she was around the other three. He did also notice that Storm was probably the most attached to Nancy out of the four of them. When Storm wanted to play, she preferred Steve to usually play with her. With Robin, Storm always wanted her if she woke up in the middle of the night, and when she hurt or was upset, the only person who can usually comfort her is Robin.

As Eddie pulled away to make Storm a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, they both heard the door open. Eddie perked up when he recognized Steve’s footsteps walking into the kitchen. Storm mumbled softly, wanting her lunch.

“Hey. Told you I wouldn’t be gone all day,” Steve grinned when he saw Eddie. Eddie grinned and quickly pulled Steve into a hug and kissed him. The taller man laughed softly and returned Eddie’s kisses. Soon Storm was starting to whine for her lunch again. Eddie kissed Steve once more before finishing up Storm’s lunch.

As Eddie pulled away, Steve walked over to the table and sat down next to Storm. When Storm saw Steve sit next to her, she smiled and mumbled happily. Steve grinned as he reached out and ruffled Storm’s hair.

Eddie smiled at the two as he gave Storm her sandwich that he cut up into small pieces, some pieces of cheese, and a cup of apple juice. Storm mumbled happily as she started to eat her lunch. The metal head soon went back to the kitchen counter and made lunch for him and Steve.

After lunch, Storm was playing in front of the TV with Steve as Eddie sat on the recliner and read his book. Steve was holding Storm’s stuffed horse, as the toddler hugged a stuffed cow close to her. Steve grinned down at the toddler.

Storm mumbled happily as she pointed at the TV. Steve brought home “Toy Story” from the video store for Storm to watch. The older man grinned at the toddler as she watched TV.

“You like this movie huh?” Steve asked the toddler happily. Storm nodded as she slowly climbed into Steve’s lap and laid against him as she watched the TV. Steve wrapped his arms around the toddler and cuddled with her. Storm grabbed onto Steve’s arm and yawned.

“I love you,” Steve spoke softly to Storm as they cuddled. Storm looked up at Steve and smiled. The male hugged Storm close and cuddled her as they watched TV. Soon Storm was rubbing her eyes, and whining softly. Eddie stood up from the chair and walked over to Steve and Storm to pick Storm up.

As Eddie picked Storm up, the toddler grabbed onto her uncle’s t-shirt and laid on him. The metal head snuggled Storm before he slowly walked upstairs to her bedroom. Steve quickly followed after Eddie while holding Storm’s stuffed cow. Storm yawned again.

When they entered Storm’s room, Eddie walked over to Storm’s bed and gently laid her in it. Storm whined as she rolled away from her uncles. Steve gently set Storm’s toy in bed with her, then covered her with a blanket. Soon Storm was fast asleep. Eddie held Steve’s hand as they watched the toddler sleep for a few moments before heading back downstairs.

That afternoon Storm was grabbing onto Steve’s jeans as he looked through the fridge trying to decide what to make for dinner. As Steve shuffled through the fridge, he heard the front door open. Storm mumbled softly as she tried to hide behind Steve. Soon Robin walked into the kitchen and looked around for her daughter.

“Hi Stormy,” Robin spoke softly as she knelt down on the floor near Steve and Storm. The toddler mumbled softly as she peeked out from behind Steve and looked at her mother. Robin smiled as she sat on the floor and waited patiently for her daughter.

Soon Storm slowly came out from behind Steve and walked over to Robin. Robin smiled happily as Storm cuddled up to her mother. Robin wrapped her arms around her daughter and kissed her. The toddler smiled as she played with her mother’s shirt.

“Hi. Did you have a good day with your uncles?” Robin asked happily. Storm nodded as she looked up at her mother and grabbed onto her hair. The tall woman smiled as she watched her daughter. Soon Storm was looking around for Nancy. Robin smiled as she picked her daughter up and stood up.

“Hey Rob. Do you want spaghetti for dinner?” Steve asked as he looked over at his best friend. Storm was playing with her mother’s face, as Robin tried to talk with Steve.

“Yeah that’ll be fine. Storm has her b-a-t-h tonight anyways,” Robin smiled at Steve as she tried to pull away from her daughter. Steve grinned as he pulled some ground beef from the fridge and walked over to the kitchen counter. Robin smiled as she sat at the table while still holding her daughter.

“So Rob. How was work?” Steve spoke as he started to prepare dinner. Robin kissed her daughter before she spoke again.

“Oh today went well. Kids are excited to learn another song,” Robin spoke as she looked over at Steve. The woman was an elementary school music educator for one of the school districts in Indianapolis, Indiana. It took a few years out of high school for Robin to figure out what she wanted to do as a career.

“Mama,” Storm whined, wanting Robin’s full attention. Robin smiled at her daughter and brushed her hair out of her face. Steve glanced back at the girls and smiled before starting to boil a pot of water on the stove.

“Hey Robin. How was work?” Eddie grinned as he walked into the kitchen. Robin looked up at the metal head and smiled. Storm wrapped her arms around her mother’s neck and hugged her.

“It was good. Were you able to write more of your book today?” Robin asked as Eddie sat down at the table with Robin and Storm. Eddie didn’t have a job like the rest of them, so he stayed home and watched Storm, and was currently writing a fantasy novel for young adults.

“No, not today. Storm and I took a long walk after breakfast and then when she napped, Steve was home, so we spent time together,” Eddie explained. Robin nodded as she watched her daughter. Soon the group heard the front door open again.

When Storm heard the front door open again, she realized it was Nancy and started to cry for her other mother. Robin quickly tried to calm Storm down as Eddie tried to help. Soon Nancy walked into the kitchen.

“Hey. Hey. It’s okay,” Nancy spoke softly as she took Storm from Robin and held her close. Storm grabbed onto her mother’s blouse and quickly settled down. Steve looked at the group and smiled as he drained the noodles.

“Hey Ed, can you grab the plates? Dinner is almost done,” Steve asked as he smiled at his boyfriend. Eddie nodded as he pulled away from the girls and went over to Steve. Robin smiled back at the boys before she turned her attention to Nancy.

“Hi baby. How was work,” Robin asked as she stood up and pulled Nancy into a hug. Nancy smiled up at her girlfriend and kissed her.

“It was good. I’m almost done with the article for Monday’s paper,” Nancy smiled at Robin. Robin grinned as she nuzzled Nancy. Nancy became a journalist but settled to work for the Indy Star instead of one of the bigger news companies. Storm looked up at her parents and mumbled happily.

“How was your work Robbie?” Nancy smiled up at Robin. Robin grinned and quickly started to ramble off about her day. Nancy watched her girlfriend lovingly as she listened to every word that spilled out of Robin’s mouth. Storm cuddled up to Nancy and laid on her as she closed her eyes.

“Hey, dinner is ready,” Steve spoke as he threw his hand towel onto his shoulder. Nancy kissed Robin once more before she pulled away from her girlfriend to put her daughter into her booster seat.

As Nancy tried to set Storm down into her seat, the toddler started to whine and cry, not wanting Nancy to leave her. The older woman kissed her daughter on her forehead as she buckled Storm in. The toddler looked up at her mother, with tears forming in her eyes.

“Hey, we’re going to eat dinner. I’ll sit right next to you, it’ll be okay,” Nancy tried to reason with her daughter as Eddie walked up with a bib to put on Storm. Storm mumbled softly as Eddie put the bib on her. Nancy thanked Eddie and sat down next to Storm as promised.

“Mama,” Storm whined as she reached out for Nancy again. Nancy turned towards her daughter and smiled. The toddler was rubbing her eyes and whining.

“Stormy. We’re going to eat dinner, then you need a bath. After your bath, if you’re good, we can cuddle and watch a movie, okay?” Nancy tried to explain. Storm nodded slowly as she looked over to Steve who was getting ready to pass out dinner.

After dinner, Storm was pushing around some bubbles in her bath as Nancy sat next to the tub. The curly haired woman poured out some soap and started to wash her daughter, as Storm tried to play. Usually the toddler hated to take a bath, but Storm wanted to cuddle with her mother, so she was trying to be good.

As Nancy washed her daughter, Storm looked up at her mother and giggled happily. The woman kissed her daughter before she rinsed her off. Storm soon started to whine, wanting the bath to be over.

“Storm. I need to wash your hair. You need to be good. We’re almost done,” Nancy spoke softly. Storm shook her head. The toddler hates having her hair washed. The woman softly sang to her daughter, trying to keep her calm as she washed her hair.

“Mama stop,” Storm cried at Nancy. Suddenly the bathroom door opened and Robin stepped into the bathroom. Nancy looked up at Robin and smiled.

“Hey Rob, can you come help me,” Nancy asked hopefully. Robin nodded and quickly knelt down next to the bath. Storm cried and tried to reach out for Robin, wanting out of the bath.

“Hey. Mama Nancy needs to wash your hair, then you’re all done,” Robin calmly explained. Storm wiggled, but slowly settled down enough for Nancy to finish washing up her hair.

As soon as Storm was cleaned, Nancy picked up her daughter and took her out of the bath. The toddler mumbled softly as Robin wrapped a towel around her and dried her off. Storm whined and mumbled unhappily as she shivered. Robin then picked Storm up and held her close as they walked back to Storm’s bedroom.

“Mama,” Storm whined as she rubbed her eyes. Robin looked down at her daughter and smiled, knowing Storm was tired and probably ready for bed. The tall woman kissed her daughter and rubbed her back before laying her down on her changing table.

As Robin placed a new diaper on her daughter, Nancy walked up with some footie pajamas that were covered in little bats. The toddler rubbed her eyes unhappily as Nancy got her dressed. As soon as Storm was dressed, Nancy picked her daughter up and walked downstairs.

Storm wrapped her arms around Nancy’s neck and looked around as they walked into the living room. Eddie looked up from his book and grinned at the girls. The woman smiled as she lowered herself down onto the recliner and sat down.

“Hey. Do you mind if we watch some TV?” Nancy asked Eddie. Eddie shook his head and looked over at Storm.

“Oh no. Go ahead. Steve and I were about to head out to the garage for a bit,” Eddie explained. Nancy nodded at Eddie as he stood up from the couch. Storm whined as she rolled over and tried to reach out for her uncle.

“Hey. You’re going to watch TV with Mama. I’m going to go hang out with Uncle Steve and I’ll be right back,” Eddie spoke softly to the toddler. Storm nodded as she turned back towards Nancy. As Eddie left the room, Robin walked into the living room with a small bottle of milk.

“Here Stormy,” Robin spoke softly as she handed the bottle over to Storm. The toddler quickly grabbed the bottle from Robin and sucked on the bottle as Nancy turned on the TV. The curly haired woman held her daughter tightly as Robin sat down on the couch and watched the TV as well. Soon Storm was fast asleep.

As soon as Storm was asleep Nancy looked over at Robin and smiled. Robin returned Nancy’s smile as she changed the channel to something they wanted to watch, as they waited for the boys to come back inside.
