But Kaveh wasn’t deaf, and he listened something coming from the scribe’s room. “Is he sleeping?” It was strange watching his roommate sleeping in the daylight but maybe he was tired of scheming for once. But some of the noises he was listening to didn’t make any sense. They had a rule of not breaking into the other’s space and Alhaitham was very strict with it, but Kaveh wanted to make sure he was okay just resting on his bed. The blonde bended close to the door and pushed it a little bit so he could take a quick peak at his roommate without being caught.
Indeed, the scribe was lying on his bed. But he wasn’t exactly sleeping like Kaveh thought he’d be doing.
