Work Text:
morning sun shone through thin curtains, illuminating the two idols in the small bed. the dark-skinned inkling awoke first, yawning and stretching her arms out on either side of her. frye looked down at the smaller figure nestled into her side, thinking for a moment. deep cut had the day off, so there really wasnt any reason to awake the octoling. big man would survive without shiver and frye for another hour. or two. or three. the yellow inkling pulled the blanket further over the cephalopod's tangled forms, careful not to pull it past the pale octoling's head. frye laughed quietly as shiver shifted closer to her, tightening their grip on her torso and shoving their head further into her chest. she sighed, content, and laid her head on the pillow, chin above the smaller cephalopod's head. she closed her eyes, slowing drifting back into the depths of sleep as she wrapped her arms around her partner.
