My Fiance

Summary:

You're finally back from your little vacation away, the Host Club welcoming you back with enthusiasm.

Kyoya missed you.

"I love you too [Name]." Snuggly cuddled up to my fiancé, clasping hands with each other's as he finally decides to put the laptop away, both our silver rings coming in contact with a small 'tink'.

Notes:

Kyoya isn't really OOC, mostly just quiet.
All fluff, literally that's it. That's the book.
Short and sweet, and you have a musically talented dog.

Work Text:

"Club meeting everyone! Gather around!" The energetic and overjoyed voice of the club leader reaches the ears of the handful of people residing in the large, spacious room. The five other club members that haven't already made their way to their leader now shuffle away from whatever they were doing, curiously asking questions. "Kyoya has something of upmost importance to announce! Say it, say it, say it!" The energetic blond jumps up and down on his spot, already knowing the news and can't wait for what comes next.

The blond eagerly glances between his childhood friend and the main door of the huge room, obviously waiting. All eyes focus on the glasses wearing, smirking ravenette who holds his famous black notebook to his chest, adjusting his specs to make them glint in the afternoon sun.

"Before club activities ensue in approximately ten minutes, I would like to introduce to you all our new singer and competing pianist, [Name] [Last Name]." The main doors to the room creak open a crack, a head of hair popping into the room, curious eyes scanning the room before lighting up when meeting the familiar onyx eyes of his lover, but violet orbs jump into view before he can make a move forward.

"[Name]! I've missed you!" A squeak escapes the new boy's lips, said boy about to hide behind the door, but a small yapping puppy quickly runs into the room. Straight for the youngest Ootori son.

"Jackpot, stop!" The boy swiftly dodges the outstretched arms of his blond friend in desperation to stop his dog from causing any trouble. The small puppy tries to do a quick stop at Kyoya's feet but ends up skidding on the floor, his soft fur and no grip on the smooth ground making it easier for him to slide. A hand lifts the puppy by his scruff from the floor, adjusting the pup to sit in their arms as they walk back to the group of males casually, puppy happily yapping.

"He seems troublesome." The girl with short brown hair passes the fluffy shiba dog back to his owner, the boy gratefully thanking his dog's saviour with flushed cheeks of embarrassment.

"Yes, Jackpot manages to get into all sorts of trouble." [Name] makes a point to give a stern gaze to the canine before thanking the girl again. "Thank you, I'm [Name] [Last Name] by the way." Haruhi nods and bows back politely, introducing herself before grasping her knees and leaning forward to come face-to-face with the little pup, still far enough back to not get licked on the face.

"He's adorable."

"Right? It's sad to know he came from the streets somehow huh?"

"Really? No way!"

"Yeah, he's a fighter, I'll tell you that." The dog yaps in a form of agreement, both [Name] and Haruhi giggling along at the dog's antics. A cleared throat attracts the attention of both persons, a smile reaching to [Name]'s eyes as he rushes to place his dog down and throw himself onto his lover, a grin pressing into Kyoya's uniform jacket.

"Hi again Kyo." A small smile slips to Kyoya's usually smirking or thin lined lips as his arms circle around the boy’s waist, resting his forehead on the top of his head, mumbling a warm greeting of his own.

"Yo Boss—"

"—What are you doing over there?" Curious eyes sneak a glance at the two auburn haired twins that stare blankly at Tamaki, who sits crouching in one of the corners of the room. Guilt swarms in the pit of [Name]'s stomach as he watches how the blond whines in dismay, obviously bothered that he didn't receive the first hug from one of his favourite people.

The newly introduced boy pouts guiltily as he pulls away from his long-time lover, picking up his canine companion as he makes his way over to his friend, crouching behind the blond as he holds his pup to his chest.

"Tama-chan, I'm sorry, you scared me. Forgive me? Please Tama-chan?" His voice is begging, a cutesy tone added to his voice as he pokes gently at Tamaki's back. Said blond continues pouting as he turns his head to take a look at his friend that he hasn't seen much of for the past month.

And he's in the trap.

The adorable puppy eyes both [Name] and Jackpot are giving makes the target immediately cave, his bubbly mood back up as he pounces to give the boy a tight embrace, Jackpot making his escape before the attack. Traitor.

"I've missed you so much [Name]!"

"Sorry Tama-chan. How's it been? A month goes by pretty quickly." Tamaki Suoh goes on an entire rant before jumping up and leading his friend to the girl [Name] met just previously, awkwardly waving as he hunches under Tamaki’s heavy arm.

"And this is our lovely Haruhi Fujioka! She's been part of the host club since the start of the year, but you can't tell anyone that she's a she. Because she's acting as one of our male hosts!" I nod along with the information I already know, thanks to Kyoya always keeping me up to date with everything that happens around the club and everything that's happened in Japan for the last month I've been away.

An arm slips to my waist and I don't hesitate to lean into the warm body standing next to me, but keep my attention mostly towards the ramble Tamaki is going on about, I don't want to be rude. He’s obviously infatuated with this girl; with the way he’s spinning her around so enthusiastically.

"It's good to have you back, we need to have a conversation about that competition you won up at Poland again." I let my smile spread as I nod to the boy next to me, not being able to help sinking into his side from exhaustion and comfort. Two identical faces bound over to me, none caring for the personal space I'm not too comfortable sharing with strangers.

"What kinda relationship do you two have, huh?" The question is voiced in unison, their amber eyes switching between Kyoya and I. I'm about to respond, trying to take a step back to create a comfortable distance between me and the Hitachiin twins, when I feel a tug on my pant sleeve. I look down to meet overjoyed honey sweet eyes, a big grin and the underside of my dog's tummy facing me, but his tail tells me that he isn't at all bothered.

"Oh, Honey, it's been a while." Honey and I have known each other for quite a while, not for too long but many years to make it feel that we've known each other for more than a decade.

"[n/n]-chan, what's his name? He's so cute!" I chuckle good heartedly and sit down on my knees, spreading my arms for a well waited hug.

"Honey, have you forgotten my welcome back hug?" He shuffles towards me, keeping in mind of the way Jackpot is positioned, deciding instead to sit on my lap and lean onto my chest, puppy still comfortable. I wrap my arms around him so he doesn't slip, ignoring the chatter of the twins and Kyoya. "His name's Jackpot, it seems to me that you're already close friends."

I hear the double doors of the club room burst open, swarms of yellow dressed girls with makeup causing the stampede. I quickly stand, Honey and Jackpot gathered in my arms as I step beside Kyoya, not wanting to be trampled on, but the swarm stops just inside the doors, seemingly waiting. Ah, club hours have started. I lean up slightly to whisper in my fiancé's ear, confusion and lose of what to do evident in my question.

"Kyo, do I start with the piano or...?" I leave the question open ended, not quite knowing any other option of what to do, Kyoya's arm secured back around my waist.

"We'll be introducing you before you go off, Honey will be looking after Jackpot if you're alright with that?" I nod along, pulling on a professional smile as I scan over the eyes browsing across the room, I seem to have already caught quite the attention.

"Who's he?"

"Could he be a new host?"

"He's not in the uniform though?"

"He looks cute."

"What's he doing with Honey-senpai and Kyoya-senpai?"

"Aww, look at the puppy." I smile gently and place Honey back down with Jackpot, the two quickly running to the bodyguard figure standing nearby. I give Mori a sweet smile and wave, earning a nod in return. I'll have to catch up with everyone soon. But for now, that'll have to wait.

My fingers fly across the polished black and white keys of the piano I borrow, eyes closed, muscles relaxed and body swaying as I use the three pedals whenever I desire. I tune out the giggles, the conversations, the excited yapping from Jackpot every now and again, simply letting myself get lost in the music I create, a smile still ever present on my face.

I love the music I create, that I hear, that has already been created and performed. I love it all.

I end the classical piece with a flare, a roll of sweat dripping down my temple that I flick away with the back of my hand. It's always fun to play instruments, it's been fun for as long as I can remember.

A round of clapping startles me from memories and thoughts, my eyelids slowly opening as I gaze out over the scattered crowd of women and six men, some girls have decided to stand closest to the stage, but I ignore their ogling. My eyes simply focus on one person, my breath heavy as I don't break eye contact with the proud onyx eyes, pride of my own swelling inside me as he claps.

He mouths the words 'go on' with an encouraging wave of a hand and an idea quickly pops in my head, my body repositioning back to the piano. I play a small tune and I hear an excited yap not soon after, pattering footsteps quickly rushing towards me before a small body of fluff accompanies me on the piano stool.

"Ready?" A confirming yap and I start with a few notes that the shiba inu repeats the next octave higher, sometimes disrupted by wrong notes grouped too close together, but hid paws are only so small. He continues that tune repeatedly as I build upon it, ending up with a beautiful song. I let Jackpot finish with the last note, congratulating him with much joy. Another round of clapping and 'awes' ensue as I ruffle my companion's fur, scratching behind his ear as I make my way off the stage, straight for Kyoya. Having to politely thank the crowd of girls that swarm me.

"What did you think?" I ask, excitedly holding Jackpot up for Kyoya to hold, the young puppy taking the chance to lick at the ravenette's cheek. I giggle quietly at the cute scene, happy to see my new companion getting along with my long-time lover and fiancé.

"Personally, I find it amazing you could train him to play the piano in only one and half months." He smiles down at me as he holds Jackpot carefully, his notebook tucked under his arm.

"Oh!" I quickly remember the small brown packet residing in my carry bag, my feet leading me to where it resides next to Tamaki's table, he insisted that he'd take care of all my luggage, which is nothing more than a small blue suitcase and my back bag.

"[Name], I'd like you to meet some of my lovely guests." I look over to see four girls curiously staring back at me, I muster a polite smile and bow elegantly, feeling the presence of Kyoya stepping next to me.

"Lovely to meet you ladies!" I hear them squeal behind my closed eye smile. I had to hold back the urge to flinch and cover my ears. I turn to Kyoya right after, holding out the small brown package with a hyper grin. "They had the tea this time Kyo, it's so good. You have to try it. The lady that picks these leaves uses certain combinations of soils to grown them, she says this batch tastes amazing with strawberries." He nods numbly, I notice, as he takes a step closer and wraps me in a hug, a tight, protective embrace, Jackpot nowhere in sight.

"Wha—"

"I've missed you." His needy voice brings a soft smile to my lips as I hug back with just as much need.

"Me too." Another round of awes and a handful of comments and I pull away to give him a quick peck to the cheek. I flinch at the flash of a camera beside me, turning to see the two twins smirking at the phone held in front of them.

"Finally, some blackmail on Kyoya-senpai." At this they smirk with malice towards us, but I raise a brow and smile. They have no idea. A glint in my dear lover's glasses and I already know what to expect.

"That picture is obviously not going to affect either of us. We have fought and won our battle of being engaged and I intend to marry [Name] in the future. That picture you have there will be of no hinder in our relationship, but whatever seems to satisfy you." The Hitachiin twins frown in defeat, grumbling under their breaths that they'll 'get us some day'. This may be the first time I've met the twins but I can already say that they'll be a handful, but it'll be quite the fun adventure.

"Come sit with me." I'm pulled by the hand, back to where Kyoya and I were previously standing. We sit side by side, me heavily leaning against him as the inevitable jet lag from landing this morning creeps up on me.

"Where's—"

"Honey has Jackpot, don't worry, go to sleep." I smile happily, closing my eyes to the tick-ticking of Kyoya's laptop keys and the mindless chatter in the background.

"Kyoya?" The said male hums in response, his eyes staying glued to the laptop in front of him, the document reflecting in his glasses.

"I love you." He pauses in his typing to give me a peck on the forehead, gently stroking my head of hair with a familiar fondness.

"I love you too [Name]." I smile with closed eyes, snuggly cuddled up to my fiancé, clasping hands with each other's as he finally decides to put the laptop away, both our silver rings coming in contact with a small 'tink'.
