Work Text:
“Can I help you, Yeodongsaeng?”
Choi Jung Soo didn't consider herself a nosy girl, or at least not much, but Kim Rok Soo had always had something that made it impossible for her to look away. So it was no surprise that she'd end up noticing the fact that she was always the one left behind to tidy up solo, and though she'd always thought it was her style to do things on her own, she couldn't help but want to help her after hearing that she'd had an accident with her arm but was still doing everything on her own, though... she didn't remember her being so intimidatingly pretty up close.
Her heart had probably skipped a beat or two in the short time it took for the answer to come (question?) but it was enough to make her worry that she'd caught a cold or something. Or maybe her heart simply forgot how to work.
In any case, that didn't matter much now.
“Do you want to help me?” it really didn't matter, because she was sure it had just broken into a thousand pieces.
“Sure, Yeodongsaeng! Unless, of course, you don't... want it.” Choi Jung Soo had already decided that the moment she set foot in her house, she was going to kill herself for letting her voice get so low.
Or not, because Kim Rok Soo had chosen to spare her life with the tip of her red ears and the elusive look. “If you want so much, you can take these boxes up to the top shelf.”
And she should simply obey, shut her mouth and accept that blissful mercy given by a goddess in the mortal realm, but there wouldn't be a better opportunity to introduce her friend and it wouldn't be her either if she didn't take it, would it?
“You could also ask Sunbae for help if you need it, I don't think he'd mind.”
“Sunbae?”
“Lee Soo Hyuk.”
