“What are you doing?”
Erwin roared with laughter, his eyes twinkling with barely contained love and amusement.
“Treating my lover like he deserves.”
Mike smugly responded. Erwin’s eyes widened.
Mike winks at the tall man, grabbing his hand in his and intertwining their fingers, warmth flooding with relief at finally being able to hold him after hours of work and life pining them in their daily busy lives.
“Extravaganza, how much did you spend?” Erwin turns around, taking in the large bed of flowers surrounding them, their enticing scents calling out to him. Mike had managed to prepare a large garden full of his favourite flowers, despite the fact that they are both busy with their jobs as doctors.
They barely had time for each other. Hitting their beds tired, cuddling, and seeking warmth and love in the darkness with nothing but the silver moonlight kissing their writhing, slithering bodies, they moved together with love and sweat glistening in their eyes and bodies.
“You don’t like it?”
Mike’s face dropped, his hold on his husband slackening. Erwin tightened his hold, pulling him in closer, his nose tracing the hickey he had left last night under his sharp, handsome jaw.
“I love it. You fool.”
Erwin kissed his lips gently, once again turning around and gasping at the beautiful sight in front of him.
“How did you get time to do all this?”
“I will make time when it’s for you.”
When Erwin raises a brow, not believing his bullshit, Mike chuckles and shrugs, “Levi and Hange helped me a bit.”
Erwin’s eyes soften, and he moves closer to kiss him again; this time they deepen with a pair of tongues clashing and gently nudging each other, tasting each other.
“Thank you, they’re beautiful.” He says breathlessly, his swollen lips gleaming with saliva. Mike’s eyes went astray, flickering between those luscious petals and his azure orbs.
“Not as beautiful as you.”
“You already got me to marry you, and we fuck daily.”
Erwin’s crude mockery, laced with amusing fondness, doesn’t bother his tall husband. In lieu of a retort, Mike smirks. He snakes his arms around Erwin's hip, drawing him in, their faces inches apart, the air around them tingling and heating.
“I have one more surprise.”
Mike smiles, his minty breath tickles Erwin's cheeks, blood rushes to his cheeks, and Erwin continues, “Oh... one more?” Erwin’s pink tongue peeks out to trace his lips, “Does it involve fewer clothes and more lubes?”
Laughing heartily, Mike shakes his head, kissing Erwin on the lips and susurrates, “No, but yeah, that could be arranged as well.”
Winking Mike drags his curious husband inside their house, the roses in their garden dancing gently to the evening breeze, canting a pure beautiful performance.
“We’re here!” he announces, opening the door to their guest bedroom. Erwin stares dumbfounded at the tiny furball sleeping on a tiny round bed.
“Is that- IS THAT A KITTEN???”
Erwin whisper-shouts at his husband, who looks taken aback at the outburst; upon seeing the tiny smile tugging at his lips, Mike relaxes.
“I know you wanted company when you're home alone here. Our little furry buddy was roaming close by our street.” Another kiss, followed by a contented sigh. “What do you think?”
“Perfect anniversary gift.” Noses caressing and touching. He bopped them together. “I love you,” Erwin admits, his eyes twinkling.
“I love you too, Winnie.” Mike mumbles kissing his nose tenderly, “What shall we name him?”
“Chestnut.” Erwin decides, it earns him another chuckle. Feeling proud he crouches next to the sleepy kitten, index finger, gently caressing the little fellow. The kitten leans closer seeking warmth, eyes still shut, pink beans in its paws shining as it lifts its leg kicking it in the air, nudging closer towards Erwin.
“Chestnut.” Erwin decides, it earns him another chuckle. Feeling proud he crouches next to the sleepy kitten, index finger, gently caressing the little fellow. The kitten leans closer seeking warmth, eyes still shut, pink beans in its paws shining as it lifts its leg kicking it in the air, nudging closer towards Erwin.
Mike holds him from behind while Erwin’s gaze stays fixed on the kitten. Their new addition to the family was going to love his papa and daddy. Mike was sure of it. On their third anniversary, they are three people in the house. Hopefully, they’d have a baby in the house next year.
Well… All in good time.
“I’m happy,” Mike admits, despite their busy schedules and tough life. He wouldn’t trade this moment for anything in the world. Erwin’s warm smile was all the response he had ever wanted.
