The bell rang and I sighed, it's only first period and I already felt overwhelmed by how crowded it was in the hallway. To top it all off, I know absolutely no one in here. Wonderful, I bet you are simply jealous of me. Wall breaking aside, at this point having Atsushi, Kunikida or even Dazai with me would be better than having an adorable ginger with a bandaid on his nose, like I'm not complaining or anything But Bandaid seems like the type of person to have a lot of people surronding him. Which happens to not be my thing but as long as he doesn't talk to me, it's all good
Okay so, it's my first day at Yokohama highschool. Not all that important. I slide into the first available seat who seems nice, very quiet but nice. The teacher walks in like class didn't start five minutes ago and everyone acted like this typically happened so it probably did, "Good morning everyone, as you've probably noticed, we do have a new student, why don't you introduce yourself?" The teacher asks and I shrug standing up from my seat, "My name's Tachihara and it's nice to meet you all." I offer then sit bavck down, greatful no one asked anything because that's always awkward. First and second period were nothing to exciting so I was excited for lunch. The entire school had lunch at the same time so anyone I recognized from class was lost in the crowd, especially with how big the cafeteria was. I got my lunch and looked for a spot to sit, I was about to pass a table with some intimidating people, mainly a boy with black hair and white ends who gave off an emo vibe, a fellow ginger with a fancy hat and an icy death stare, and a girl(?) with long black hair and a white mask. I was about to walk past them when a boy with fluffy brown hair and hazel eyes stopped me, "You're Tachihara right? Come have a seat, most of us don't bite though you can never be sure with Chuuya." The boy offered, gesturing a hand to the scary ginger with a fancy hat who glared at him and gave him the finger. "Oh fuck off Odasaku, at least introduce yourself." Chuuya grumbled, glaring at the boy who I assumed was Odasaku. He simply grinned and shrugged saying, "I'm Oda Sakunoske and seriously, sit down." Oda says, scooting over to make room for me to sit.
"Thank you guys, would you all be comfortable with introducing yourselves? I can go first. I'm Tachihara Michizo, I go by he/they pronouns and I'm bi." I offer, half waiting for them to make me leave instead, a boy next to Oda says, "Cool, I'm Ango Sakuguchi he/him and gay nice to meet you." When I tell you he looked sleep deprived, he looked as if he had never heard of Monsters before, I'll have to introduce him. "Hi, I'm Gin Akutagawa, any pronouns and very gay." Scary child in mask offered and I could've sworn a blond haired girl's face lit up, but it was gone as quickly as it had come. "I'm Ichiyo Higuchi, I go by she/they and I'm a lesbian, glad to meet you." Higuchi said, fidgeting with a strand of her hair. Across from Gin was Higucho, then next to Higuchi was," Chuuya Nakahara, he/they and queer." Now that Chuuya had calmed down a bit, they seemed like he was pretty chill. Next Chuuya was emo boy who introduced themself as, "Ryuunosku Akutagawa, they/them pronouns and gay. If you lay a hand on Gin, it'll be the last time you have hands." Akutagawa glared at me while I put my hands up mumbling something probably incoherant and probably along the, admittedly pretty embrassing, lines of, "Got it commander." Listen, in my defense, I personally like having my hands attached to the rest of my body and that was the first non-gendered term that came to mind. Everyone with the exception of Ryuunoske burst out laughing, Gin started crying, they were laughing so hard. "Commander huh? That's a new one." Chuuya remarks smirking in amusement after taking a second to breath. I feel my face heat up in embarssment, my face might've been matching with Chuuya's hair.
"I'm Kyoyo Ozaki, she/ they pronouns and a lesbian." Kyoyo says, wrapping up the introductions and at this point, lunch is halfway over. "Should we add him to the groupchat yet?" Kyoyo asks and Chuuya looks at her like they're crazy.
"And expose him to the shitty bastard this early on? Fuck no." Chuuya huffs.
Gin coos at him, " Aww, look at him, he does care. And besides it can be like a trial of sorts, if Tachihara can't handle the chaos, then we can beat Dazai's ass." Everyone's faces, with the exception of Ango, Odasaku and Akutagawa, brightened considerably, especially Chuuya's. With that, everyone let the conversation die out and started eating. While I was eating, I wondered who this Dazai was and why Chuuya hated him so much. I finished lunch coming to the conclusion that if I ended up meeting him, I would figure it out.
I gave Oda my number before we parted ways for class. Third period was alright, I was lucky to have Higuchi and Chuuya with me. There was a kid with choppy silver hair who kept staring at us. "What's with him?" I asked Higuchi, who shrugged and said that he was new. The bell rung and the teacher stood up and he clapped his hands twice. "As you can all see we have two new students with us, since I'm sure you're both tired of getting up and introducing yourself, I'll do it for you. Tachihara Michizo and Atsushi Nakajima." We both waved when the teacher said our respective names. Third and fourth period went quickly. On the bus ride home, I felt my phone buzz and saw that I had a shit ton of notifications.
Dazai needs to shut the fuck up
Ranpo(?): I HATE YOU
Atsushi(?): OH?! WELL NEXT TIME DON'T STEAL MY MONOPOLY
Gin(?): Ryuu, give Atsushi $200, you landed on his property
Akutagawa(?): NO, HE'S IN JAIL, I'M NOT GIVING MONEY TO A CRIMINAL
Dazai(?): THAT'S NOT HOW YOU PLAAAAYYYYYYYYY
Kyouka(?): Kunikida? Why is Dazai screaming?
Kunikida(?): STFU KYOUKA, YOU DON'T GET TO TALK AFTER STEALING MY LAST RAILROAD
Ranpo(?): I WISH I WAS NEVER BORN
Dazai(?): ME TOO, YOU THINK I WANTED THIS?!?
Chuuya(?): AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
