Work Text:
Emil frowned. Why wasn’t Leon picking up the phone?
Emil had chosen to call Leon before going to bed, it being 9:00 at night in Iceland.
‘Pick up the goddamn phone,’ Emil growled, disconnecting and calling again.
Brring, brring. No response.
‘Did he get his phone confiscated?’ Emil wondered, confused. His mind immediately flashed to the worst possible scenarios. Maybe he’d set off fireworks in the house again. Or he’d gotten lost where there was no signal. Or maybe he was…
‘Stop that,’ Emil scolded himself. ‘His phone probably just ran out of juice. Yes, that’s it.’
‘Hello?’ Leon mumbled.
‘Why didn’t you pick up? I was so worried!’ Emil exclaimed.
‘Emil, it’s, like, 5 am here. Why are you calling this early?’
Oh.
