"A beautiful thing is a joy forever"
John Keats
From the long heights of the Sky, where none can touch or breathe, there existed a being.
His skin was white as a pearl fresh from the sea and his hair was black as the darkness he inhabited; Ray rode in a carriage, taking with him the nocturnal glow of the mundanes.
Received passionate glances every day, in addition to songs from his faithful devotees. But, one day, his gaze was finally catch by one of those who had always been ─ and always would be ─ beneath his feet.
A mere goat herder had bewitched by Ray's charms. His hair with the same tone as his skin and his embarrassed smile almost made him go completely insane.
They were always so close to each other, but, at the same time, so far away! And they could never touch each other, or simply argue (after all, what mortal would be foolish enough to argue with a being from the Heavens?). This left the lunar deity on the edge of the abyss of sadness.
Every night, the same shepherd was there, admiring him with his flock. On one of the nights, his name was discovered and appreciated by his anonymous lover.
Oh, Norman! How Ray wished he could tell all the stars, deities, and even the mortals themselves.
On one of several other journeys, he couldn't resisting touching. He reached down to Gaia and pressed his lips to his sleeping eyelids.
Forgot that he needed to go through the other places and became addicted to the sculptural face in front of him. He had never seen anything so beautiful, it seemed created by angels. Meanwhile, Earth was plunged into deep darkness
From the top of Olympus, the celestial governess watched everything and became enraged. For what stupid reason left his post? She didn't understand and would have to punish him.
She went to the outer part of the Palace of Gods and saw.
Her subordinate was with a human, who she couldn't see.
Thunder rumbled in the dark sky, which turned admiration for the human to fear. Afraid of what the Queen of Heaven could do to his loved one for the mistake made.
He walked away and went up to the palace, where he kneit before the Goddess.
Mercy was begged for the man, who was in danger of being killed for a foolish mistake. He told her that, not only was he in love, he was also sure that the human was the love of his life.
Isabella's heart melted when she heard those statements about a single mundane, who was doomed to the curse of aging and death. So, out of her infinite goodness, she allowed the shepherd to live forever.
She slumbered with a flash of one of her hands, which sent him into a deeper sleep than any mortal had evet known.
And, every day, his sleeping body is seen by his eternal lover and admirer, who still dreams of his touches and voice.
