I hear a soft tune

Absolutely nothing

I was listening to I Hear a Symphony by Cody Fry while writting this, thank you

Work Text:

Nothing

Absolutely nothing

That’s all Jotaro could see. Pure, white surroundings. No sight of his daughter Jolyne, or any of her friends. Just an empty space. And he found himself laying in the middle of it all.

He sat up and of course started to grow worried, ‘What if there is no way out of here?’ , he thought. The thought of not having another choice but to stay here all alone, possibly losing all sanity, scared him. Especially given the fact that he was currently wounded with no help around, but strangely he didn’t feel hurt..

And then, something he thought would never happen, well, happened;

Jotaro started hearing faint sounds coming from not far away, but that couldn’t be posible, there was no one here. Not even a small fly that could sense him quietly panicking.

He decided to start walking up to the source of the sounds, of course with the most caution possible (that meant that he had his Stand out in case he was under attack). He really didn’t think there was anyone else here, but it didn’t hurt to try.

The raven haired man just kept walking for what felt like an eternity, while the sounds just kept getting louder and louder. ‘It’s a nice tune..’ He thought ‘I could get used to it..’   before he finally stopped in front of a wooden door. He realized the music was coming from the other side.. All he could do was stare at it silently.

‘Should I open it?’

He turned over to look at his Stand who surprisingly was still out, as they silently looked at the wooden door. Jotaro waited for an answer from them.

‘...’

The man sighed ignoring his soul and just opened the door, hoping for the best case scenario. That it wasn’t anything dangerous.

Luckily, it was the complete opposite of dangerous.

Star quickly disappeared as there was no danger and left Jotaro standing right in front of an open field, full of flower bushes. From the most beautiful of roses to the smallest of sky jasmins, you could find them all there. There were also all kinds of butterflies and bees roaming around the area. Heck, there was even a small pond-like fountain not far away that, in closer look, had little frogs in it. Like the ones Kakyoin always talked about in their free time during the trip-

‘Kakyoin’

It’s been a long time since Jotaro thought about them

‘I miss him..’

He started remembering all the good times they spent together. From the hotel rooms to god knows where, you could always find them together chatting or silently enjoying eachothers company.

‘And then it happened..’

Jotaro decided not to dive too deep into his late-teens memories. Those sucked and he’d rather think about anything else than that. It hurt to do so anyways.

Focusing back to the tune he heard earlier, he closed the door behind him and once again started following it. It looked like it came from the small hill not far away from where he was. It had a large cherry tree in the center of it, and it looked full of those red treats. There was also a record player next to it. Given how old those things tend to be, this one seemed to be in perfect shape. He walked to it and slowly went up to it, all while being a little worried about what may be waiting for him on the other side of the tree.

He stopped his tracks in front of the large tree and visibly shook. He started to get nervous as to who could be the owner of the record player.

‘Maybe there’s nobody there’

As he walked slowly to the other side he took a long deep breath, and finished as soon as he saw who was over there.

Then his heart stopped.

On the other side was laying down none other than his best friend, his teenage crush, his other half if you will, a man who he thought was dead.

Kakyoin motherfucking Noriaki

The other hasn’t noticed Jotaro’s presence just yet, and yet here he was, panicking like never before.

“Kakyoin..?”

The mentioned one quickly turned over to the other, clearly startled, as if he wasn’t expecting anyone coming here. And just then, his shocked expression turned into a friendly one

“Hi there JoJo..”

They slowly got up from where they were and cupped both of Jotaro’s cheeks

“I’ve been waiting for you for quite some time now”

And suddenly, it felt like Jotaro was complete once again.

Just imagine that Nori was listening to the instrumental for Pluto Proyector
