"Penny for your thoughts?" Carol asked, joining Daryl on the truck bed and rubbed his back through his vest.
"Rick keeps looking at me," Daryl said.
"You're not exactly hard on the eyes," Carol said.
Daryl looked at Carol, confused.
"You have no idea what I'm talking about do you?" Carol asked.
"What should I do?" Daryl asked.
"Talk to Rick," Carol said, kissing Daryl on the cheek thinking he was a sweet boy. She had no idea how he turned out so well considering his up bringing as she hopped down from the truck bed.
After Carol walked away, Daryl felt eyes on him. Looking around, he saw Rick watching him from across the yard. Daryl climbed down and walked toward Rick as Rick came toward him. When they met halfway across the yard, Daryl said, "Carol said I should talk to you."
"About what?" Rick asked.
"Why you're always looking at me," Daryl said.
Rick smirked, took a hold of Daryl's hair, held his head steady and kissed him quick and hard before Daryl could could say a word.
As Rick left him alone where he stood, Daryl touched his lips even more confused than he'd been before.
