kaneki ken is not a morning person, touka finds. he becomes 89% more clingy. It’s a bit cute despite how inconvenient and annoying it can be — touka has places to go, but instead her husband wants them to stay in bed for longer.
usually, she doesn’t bother in trying to wake him when she gets up or else, they’d get nowhere. but ken finds her anyways — hair sticking out everywhere, eyes not fully open yet and slight drool gathering at the corner of his lips — complaining about how cold it is and how sleepy he is.
like he expects her to do something about it.
touka snorts as he sticks to her back, wrapping her his arms tightly around her torso. secure. “why don’t you go back to your bed, then?”
“but…you’re not there….”
idiot, touka thinks, as something warm engulfs her chest. “baby,” she calls him, out loud, and ken does not deny it.
she endures his snuggles against her collarbone and his tight clasp on her as she waddles forward to the kitchen — you try to move whilst dragging a heavy person around and see how difficult it can be.
it’s a challenge making coffee. it definitely does not taste as good as it’s supposed but with her back warm, ken’s face squished into her shoulder… it tastes just the perfect amount of nice.
or maybe, that’s just her sappiness bleeding through.
an overdose of kaneki ken can do that to you.
