“Hey Buck, can we talk?” They we’re just back from a call, the call after they found out Buck’s new secret.
“Yeah sure, what’s up?” Eddie flicks his eyes around, and pulls Buck to the bunks. Not wanting to let his co-workers hear Buck’s business.
“Are you sure you want to go through with this?”
Buck’s eyes furrowed. “It’s the right thing to do.”
Eddie feels like banging his head off a wall. “Buck, i didn’t say it wasn’t the right thing to do but it’s just…” he pauses trying to think of the word he was looking for. “They seem a little… overbearing.”
Buck shrugs his shoulders. “They’re just worried. They really want this to work and so do I.”
Eddie’s face softens. “You’re allowed to want it to work but you do have a dangerous job. What happens if you get hurt and you can’t donate?” Buck shrugs again so Eddie continues. “Buck this isn’t a one and done thing. Donating is a big decision to make.” He leaves out the why didn’t you tell me, but it was thick in the air.
“I was going to tell you but to be honest there has been lot going on. I promise I was going to tell you though, I was just wanting to see what happened.”
Eddie nodded. “You’re my best friend. I don’t want you to be going through this yourself. We’re family. You can tell any of us. I just want to make sure you’re 100% sure before going through. It’s a big decision.”
Buck nods. “I know. I think I am. Thanks Eddie.”
“Anytime Buck.”
