Once Lost...

Summary:

Izuku is missing a year in his memory. Something feels like it's missing from his rather quiet life. Something heavy. Something an explosive alpha might be able to help him figure out if Izuku will let him in enough to do so.

Chapter Text

Izuku has always felt like something was missing from his life. He always felt like he could almost remember it...before it vanished like smoke in his fingers. Always nagging at him but never within reach. He did his best to ignore the feeling.

Which was surprisingly very easy for the omega. He was a busy 19 year old after all.

Between his college courses, work and general society disdain for his second gender as a male omega, which unfortunately hard to hide with his government issued collar that wrapped around his neck like a freaking beacon to others of what he was. He was very busy.

He passed U.A. on his walk toward his way to work at the bakery. His eyes glazing a bit as he looked at the building he had so desperately wanted to be in. But when he was supposed to apply in JR High his mother got sick. He was quirkless anyway, so never going to highschool wasn't a problem for anyone but him. Even still, his hero dreams never fully faded. He still dreamed about it...until his mom died when he was 15. Thats where the big gap in his memory happened.

It wasn't unheard of for omega's in distress to go into a drop lasting for well, a year it seemed. Cause thats the gap in Izuku's memory. He remembers waking up in an alley when he was 16. He was in a hero's arms. His name Fatgum. Izuku remembers he was soft and warm. Safe.

They never figured out where he had been for a whole year but he was put into the system, passed off from foster family to foster family. A Quirkless male omega. A Deku.

He smirked at the thought of Kacchan passing through his thoughts, he hadn't spoken to him since the other young man entered the prestigious school. He heard he graduated, Dynamite was his hero name now. Deku frowned softly.

He kept walking and he saw the cute little cafe come up into view as he walked.

He entered and smiled. "Hi Miss Rei!" He called to the owner. A bigger, older woman with glasses and a big smiled. "Good morning Zuki! It's supposed to be a lovely day!" The beta chimed happily.

Izuku chuckled and he then agreed and bent down to pet the little old wiener dog by the entrance sitting on his pillow with his name 'Porter' stitched into it. The dog wagged his tail. "I was gonna make a latte for myself before it gets busy, do you want one too Miss Rei?" He asked as he stood again and she giggled. "Oh you know me, I'm a tea gal. But I'm fine Zuki." She assured him as she brought out some fresh morning buns with cinnamon and glaze on them. "Have one of these Zuki! I know you didnt eat." She said putting one on a little plate for him as Izuku put his backpack behind the counter and he put his apron on.

Man was he thankful for the kind woman. He saw a bit of his mom in her so maybe thats why he was drawn to this bakery in the first place when he was 17. He needed a job bad when his foster family had told him if he wanted anything he needed to pay for it himself. Since Izuku had gotten his GED so easily he wasn't going to school so he knew they just wanted him out of their home. He and Rei clicked right away and she even taught him how to make breads, sweets but his main job was making the coffees and tea drinks for customers.

He was steaming the milk when he felt that nag in his stomach. The: something is missing feeling. He shoved the pastry in his mouth with his free hand before he finished his latte and he sighed out. The feeling calmed and dissipated as the first customer of the early morning arrived.

The day was normal. He took his lunch outside at one of the little tables, he watched people go by as he usually did and looked at the hero news on his phone. It was a habit but he would just mindlessly scroll. Something about Red Riot. Something about Cellophane, Creati, Froppy....more and more new hero's. They were all his age and living his dream. Izuku tried to ignore the salty taste in his mouth and he finished his sandwich.

Izuku was working late today, well till 4pm, which was when Rei closed the shop. Rei left him to close up on his own. He sighed as he finished emptying the case with a couple bags of pastries. Stuff that didn't sell was what Rei told him was 'freebees' and he could take them all. Izuku closed up after finishing cleaning and shutting down the equipment. He then left with about 5 paper bags inside a plastic shopping bag. He then headed back to his neighborhood.

By the time he got to his neighborhood it was getting dark. Since it was October. He shivered a bit then turned down his street. The street was full of homeless people. He then opened his plastic bag and he handed out all the paper bags of pastries that he had to the few that were coherent enough to take notice. He did this every night he could. It wasn't much he knew, but he hoped at least a few people got some calories in their systems. He sighed as he looked up at the sky, seeing the orange fading into a darker blue. He felt his toes and fingers getting cold as he stood. He tried not to let memories flood his head but here he was. Remembering his past. Trying to carve something out of that missing year.

The omega whimpered as his head hurt and he touched his forehead, his green waves of hair curling into his fist as he winced. He then heard footsteps, hastened. Coming up on him fast. He turned, his scent letting out alarms before he felt a fist come in contact with his stomach, the wind was knocked out of him as sht stranger ripped his bag from Izuku as he hit the floor. He gasped out, hitting the asphalt of the road. His body curled in toward the pain but he pushed past that instinct to cower and stay where he was and got up. He got to his feet and ran after his assailant.

His red shoes slammed into the ground as he ran after the four armed man who took his back pack. "Come back! Give me my bag!! Theres no money in it!!" He called out to the thief. He then saw the alley end and he looked at the four armed man. His body tensed as he held his waist as the man looked at him. "Please just give me my stuff back." Izuku tried to reason with the man and he then blinked as the man came at him. "You're gonna regret following me you filthy omega!" He growled and Izuku smelled the scent of the aggressive and pungent alpha in front of him. His body began to tremble nd he winced as the man grabbed his shirt and shoved him against the brick wall of the building beside them. Izukus head hitting the brick, further disorienting him.

The man tossed his back pack and one of his four arms touched Izuku's waist, pushing his sweater and shirt up. "If you don't have any money then I'm gonna use you like the omega you are. I bet you'll enjoy it too." He growled, further pummeling Izuku with his aggressive Alpha pheromones. Izuku's legs were loosing strength and he was pushing weakly at the hand that was crushing his windpipe. "Don't worry I'll make it enjoyable." HE growled in Izuku's ear as he licked it. The act would have made the omega gag if he wasn't so close to blacking out.

His ears felt full of cotton but he swore he heard a familiar booming noise before he felt his body hitting something cold and hard.

"Fucking trash." He heard a low growl as he tried to regain his senses. He whimpered as he gripped the ground and he felt a hand touch his arm.

Instinctively he curled away, growling out a pathetic whimper. "Hey, it's alright." A warm and slightly raspy voice spoke.

Izuku felt the hand again and he then felt it touching the back of his head, there was a dull ache then the person he still couldn't see spoke.

"Your bleeding, hey, stay awake. Open your damn eyes." That warm and slightly aggressive voice spoke, Izuku felt himself pulled into a warm embrace before he was lifted.

"Hey, eyes on me." Finally clarity was coming through. His eyes looked up to into deep red eyes. Those eyes were so familiar, he winced softly. "That's it,good omega." The mans voice crooned, causing Izuku's omega to let out a soft and needy chirp. He arched his head closer. The mans large peck comforting him as he was pressed closer. Safe.

The man's face came into the light as he walked them out of the alley. He heard a siren in the distance before he looked into those red eyes again that seemed to have widened as if surprise. What was surprising about Izuku? Suddenly the man shifted and pushed his mask up into what Izuku saw as blond hair.

The mans lips were parted, in a look that seemed foreign to his face in Izuku's mind. Then it clicked, slowly as the blackness surrounded the edges of his mind.

"Kacchan?"

Then it all went black.
