Chapter Text
Robin changed his tank top for the third time that day, he could blame his baby cousin and the motor oil for staining his tank tops but he knew he was the person to blame. He made sure not to wear white tank tops knowing those stains would never come out. Robin spent the next 25 minutes looking for tank tops he could wear, it had gotten to the point where he had hit the bottom of his dresser, how he knew was when he saw his porno that his uncle accidentally gave him for his 16th birthday. After more looking Robin gave up and decided to just go shirtless.
Robin walked out of his room and bolted to the front door in hopes his cousins weren’t hurting each other as he was gone. He walked out to little girls and boys screaming running away from each other, Robin already knew what the kids were playing and called it quits when he grabbed his tool box. Robin walked over to his car that he was fixing up before taking costumers, he let his little cousins wash his car because they pleaded that it was to hot not to get wet.
More screams were heard but more muffled because of the loud music being played, Robin didn’t care about the noise complaints not like he’ll get any but still. After a hour or two Robin’s cousins had calmed down on their sugar high and went inside to take break probably to sleep or watch tv. Robin, however stayed outside still working on his car, he sighed setting the wrench that helping him crank the screws.
He sid himself out from under the car and took his hair out of a ponytail, after he did he felt like someone was staring at him. The gaze wasn’t heavy but it wasn’t light either, Robin turned his head slowly to see a tall scrawny pale boy, his face was covered in dirt and blood, no pants but he was wearing a t-shirt which was blood red, and his hair was a dirty blonde. Robin let his fright or flight emotions take over him in this situation because he’s never seen this boy before and trust him he knows everyone in this town.
Robin did what he had to in this situation and got up slowly and approached the boy very cautiously. The boy didn’t move which was probably a sign that he wasn’t processing the situation at all. Robin looked around hoping for at least a few neighbors to be out just in case this boy was crazy and decided to kill Robin in the open.
“Are you okay sir?” Robin asked waving his hand in front of the boy’s face which is never a smart idea. The boy shook his head no, he understood that so Robin took that as a good sign. Robin had searched the boy’s face, Robin isn’t good at reading facial expressions but he had look like he was fucking terrified it was like he ran away or something. “Would you like to come inside?” Robin whispered, the boy didn’t reply for a few seconds thinking about the choices he would make; the boy slowly nodded. “Follow me.”
Robin sat the boy down on his bed, he would ask if he was wearing some underwear but it felt like it wasn’t the right time. Robin said nothing about the bruises and hickey marks on the boy either and not because of the time it was because of him being rude. The boy shuffled on Robin’s bed seemly a little uncomfortable, when Robin noticed this he frowned.
“Would you like to shower,” Robin asked, his room was already connected to the bathroom along with the hallway. The boy looked down almost like he was ashamed as he nodded slowly. Robin walked into the bathroom and grabbed one of the towels and washcloths to give to the boy, once Robin made his way back in the room he saw the boy and his baby cousin talking to him. “Jayden get out!” Robin yelled causing Jayden to groan, she left stomping her tiny feet on the carpet floor; the boy smiled fondly before taking the stuff that Robin was offering him.
Robin waited for the boy to walk in the bathroom before once again digging in his dresser for clothes to give him. As Robin looked for clothes he finally realized how dirty his room was, it’s not like he ever has other people rather than his family In there but now having some strange boy in here it felt like he had an extra pair of eyes staring. Robin could still hear the shower ruining but the sound was just faint so he decided he needed to clean up his room even though it was just covered in old pornos that he forgot to put up and dirty clothes. Robin got up from his spot and made his way over to the mess he grabbed a handful of his pornos and shoved them in the closet, he heard the squeak that the shower made when you turned it off indicating that the boy was done causing Robin to rush himself to clean up his room.
Robin heard the door creak open, he didn’t turn just in case the boy was naked. The boy tapped Robin on his shoulder and Robin turned around, he saw the boy still in no pants but had on one of Robin’s hoodies. The boy was nervous afraid he made the wrong mistake taking one of Robin’s hoodies, Robin got up from his spot and looked the boy up in down taking it all in.
“Are you hungry?” Robin asked, the boy shook his head no. “Do you have a name?” Robin asked another question not expecting an answer because he has yet to hear the boy talk.
“Finney,” the boy whispered; Robin didn’t question Finney any longer after he said his name. Finney looked around the room he was in finally processing the situation he was, a huge smiled appeared across his face with teary eyes Robin noticed this and ran up to the boy scared he was freaking out silently.
“Are you okay!?” Robin asked worry in his tone, Finney shook his head yes before wiping his tears away. Robin gazed at Finney longer than he did the first time, Robin is now able to notice Finney’s soft features now that his face is no longer covered in blood and dirt. The hickeys were still visible on his pale skin which made Robin worry, he wanted to call over Bruce and Vance to help him out but his cousins are home and can’t invite no one over due to the fact that everyone argues when they come over and yes this is normal to Robin, but to Finney it might not be normal. Robin could use the help, he guessed they could just sneak in the window.
“Stay right here, I’ll be right back; lock the bathroom door aswell please.” Robin stated, Finney shook his head yes after Robin walked out of his room and closed the door.
Robin opened the window to let his two best friends in excluding Billy and Griffin because they’re on a date. Bruce walked in first and Vance walked in second, Bruce bolted to Finney giving him a huge hug stuffing Finney’s face in Bruce’s chest.
“He is so cute!” Bruce cooed having both hands now on either sides of Finney’s pale face. Vance rolled his eyes before pulling his boyfriend off the poor boy. Finney frowned as he got up to hug bruce back, Bruce smiled hugging Finney back as well causing Vance to gag.
“Why did you bring us here?” Vance groaned now that he’s not getting attention from his boyfriend.
“He needs clothes that can fit him so I called Bruce over to bring him some,” Robin replied leaning on his dresser.
“Vance go get the bag out the car please,” Bruce smiled making soft twists in Finney’s hair. Finney smiled as he gently put his head on Bruce’s shoulder.
“Why the fuck do I have to do that shit?” Vance crossed his arms, “it’s your fucking bag dickweed.”
Bruce sighed after covering Finney’s ears, “I’ll give you head?” Vance raised a brow while Finney looked up innocently, “oh my god… and I’ll give you coins for your stupid pinball machine.” Vance smiled walking over to Robin’s window and jumping out of it to get Bruce’s bag that he asked for. Robin sighed before moving himself off his dresser and throwing himself on his bed thankfully missing both Bruce and Finney.
“Soo,” Bruce started still playing with Finney’s hair. “You and Donna still a thing?” Bruce asked.
“Fuck no,” Robin laughed lifting his head up from his pillow. “You and Vance finally talking shit out?” Robin asked being genuine. Bruce nodded in response making soft circles on Finney’s rosy cheek. Vance opened he window to Robin’s room and jumped in, Vance threw the bag down forcing out a few of Bruce’s old clothes that he couldn’t fit anymore. Finney smiled walking straight to the bag and picking it up before making a run to the bathroom.
“He seems to be very talkative,” Vance sniffed grabbing Bruce’s hips.
“Poor baby probably is traumatized,” Bruce frowned. “The hickeys and bruises on his body are a dead giveaway.”
“Abusive ex maybe,” Robin added. Bruce sighed while Vance groaned. The bathroom door opened and everyone turned their heads to look at Finney, he wore tight jeans with a sweater. Bruce clapped his hands together trying to get out of his boyfriend’s grip on his hips while Robin smiled at Finney. “You look nice!” Robin smiled, Finney smiled back.
“Well me and Vance better get going,” Bruce yawned. Vance smiled releasing his boyfriend from his death grip. Finney frown walking over to Bruce and giving him a tight hug which Bruce returned happily, “don’t be sad I’ll be back!” Bruce smiled which made Finney smile even wider. Vance once again groan dragging his boyfriend towards the window, Finney waved to both Bruce and Vance before both boys jumped out the window.
Robin looked Finney before hopping off his bed, “you wanna try on the rest of the clothes or?” Before Finney could answer Robin’s mom walked in humming while carrying a baby in her hand while the on the house phone that she used every now and then to call her husband that was in the military.
“¡Hola, cariño!” She giggled walking over to give Robin a sloppy kiss on the cheek. “¡Oh! Y hola, amigo de Robin, ¿cómo te llamas?” She smiled as she gave Finney a sloppy kiss on the cheek as if she was one of her own kids. Finney smiled not having a clue what she said, Robin caught on and leaned in to whisper the translated version in Finney’s ear.
“She asked you what your name is.”
“Finney!”
Robins’s mom gave Finney a huge smile, “Encantado de conocerte, Franco!”
Robin laughed causing his mom to pinch him on his arm before she left. Robin rubbed his arm which made Finney laugh; Robin smiled he honestly started to like Finney, he was quiet and very gentle Robin almost felt he was taking care of a child almost but it was obvious he wasn’t innocent because he had secrets. Secrets that Robin wanted to know, secrets Robin wanted to hear, see, feel, but he doesn’t know how long he has with Finney and it won’t be long until Finney wants to leave.
