Work Text:

“You sure you're good with me coming over?” The brunette looked at the shorter, tan guy in front of who was struggling with getting his keys out of his pockets. Bright green eyes glanced over to him, “Of course I am. Stop your worrying, Mikey-bro!” He smiled brightly. His stupid nicknames always got a laugh out of Micheal, deflating Micheals anxiety to less.

Jeremy was this green eyed, freckled, scarred up blonde idiot. Maybe not a total idiot, he was also super smart with certain things. He was super good with kids, while Micheal was better at the mechanical part of the dayshift, preferring to stay away from the little shits that roamed the restaurant. He knew how to talk to people, while Micheal didn't socialize as much as he did.

“Okay! Hop in!” Jeremy turned to look him in the eyes, smiling wildly as he waved his hands to signal for Micheal to get into the pickup truck. Jeremy had some crooked teeth in his smile with a tooth gap in the front, but it made it so much more admirable, Micheal returned his smile with his iconic soft one.

Micheal buckled himself in, feeling anxious once again.

He watched as Jeremy hopped into the seat besides him, buckling himself in and starting up the truck. Micheal opened his mouth to talk, but quickly shut it. “Just say whatever's on your mind dude, no need to shut yourself up.” Jeremy noticed, elbowing Micheal playfully. Micheal laughed softly, “You're uh- 100% that I'm good to come over? I'm not being a leech, am I?”

Jeremy nodded enthusiastically, pulling out of the parking lot they were in, “Like I said, of course I am! We gotta hang out more, anyways. Especially at my place. No offence dude, but your house gives me the creeps, it's like it's haunted or something, it's a huge house and only you live there!!” Micheal smiled at that.

“Pluuuus,” Jeremy continued, “I got shit I want you to try out when we get there, no pressure or anything, though!”

“It gets me all suuuper relaxed, perfect for a stress filled day. Or- well, any day, really.”

“Are you offering me drugs, Fitzgerald?”

Jeremy glanced at him, laughing to himself. “Maaaybe! You CANNOT tell Boss though, he'll kill me if he finds out his favourite employee is getting high with a guy like myself. That is if you're up for it.”

“You're an idiot, I'm up for it.” Micheal stated, looking over at Jeremy.

Jeremy cheered putting an arm in the air, “Hell yeah! I'm only offering because I think you'd benefit from a good fucking relaxing night, you always seem so on guard, my man.”

“You notice that?? Dude, I thought I was good at hiding that! Does anyone else notice?” Micheal laughed to himself, Jeremy joining in. Micheal put his hands in his lap, hooking his pointer fingers together. “I mean, I've only noticed. It's really only if you look at you for a long enough time, then it's noticeable. Otherwise, nah.” Micheal had to take a doubletake to Jeremys words.

“You look at me so long you notice shit like that? What're you in love with me or something, Jer?” Micheal teased, laughing along with Jeremys contagious laughter. Jeremy leaned over towards Micheal, with a shit eating grin on his face, “Who knows, dude. Maybe I am!” Micheal looked at him, jaw dropped. Red started to rush into Micheals face, or at least it felt like that.

“Dude, you can't just say shit like that! You're joking, right?” Micheal pushed Jeremy playfully to get him to pay attention to the road. Jeremy giggled, “I'm joking, I'm joking. Don't worry, dude.”

The blonde turned his head towards Micheal just to flash a smile as Micheals blush lowered, he looked back to the road, focusing.

Muisc played softly in the background, but Micheal paid no attention to it.

He found himself staring at Jeremy. The freckles all over his face like sand on a beach complimented his tan skin. Jeremy was a gorgeous guy, no doubt about. Micheal looked away from the blonde and out the window, continuing his thoughts. Jeremys smile was welcoming and fitted him so well. A smile full of imperfect teeth for such a perfect person.

He felt eyes on him as he rested his head on his palm, but ignored the feeling.

“Okaaay, we're almost there!” Jeremy rang out, breaking the silence between them. Even though there was music playing that whole time.

“I'm excited to see what kinda house you got.” Micheal looked over at Jeremy, smiling. “Truly, it's not much. Just a simple 1 floor home and a basement, where actually! That's where my room is!! I'm so excited for you to see that.” Jeremy spoke happily, he seemed so giddy to show off his bedroom to Micheal. Since that is where Micheal would be staying in for the weekend, he'd be sleeping on the floor on a mattress.

Jeremy pulled into the driveway, turning off the car as he parked- he looked over to Micheal.

“Micheal,” Mike looked at him confused, Jeremy had a serious expression on his face, but that quickly turned lighthearted as he couldn't stop himself from giggling, “I gotta warn you, my lil' sister is in the house, she'll probably be all over you, dude. So, I'm incredibly sorry in advance!”

Micheal laughed, “Don't worry about it Jeremy.” Unbuckling himself, Micheal hopped out of the truck with Jeremy. Jeremy locked the truck, leading Micheal towards the side of the house, to get in.

He stepped in after Jeremy, the house smelled completely like Jeremy. It was incredibly comforting, before Micheal could get lost in the comfort he heard someones light footsteps on the floor. Out of the hall to Micheals right came Jeremys sister, or someone he assumed was Jeremys sister.

“Jeremiaaaah!” She sang out, running towards her brother to give him a hug, in which Jeremy returned. She and Micheal made eye contact, Micheal started to feel extremely nervous. He was never one for social interaction, Jeremy and their Boss were his first friends in literal years. “Who's this, Jer! Oh my, your hair is to die for! It looks so soft, do you have a mullet?” Jeremys sister was up in his face, asking so many questions that Micheal couldn't keep up with.

“Woah there, Kate.” Jeremy parted the two, looking Micheal up and down figuring out what the brunette was feeling. Definitely some uncomfortableness was in there somewhere. Kate sighed, “Sorry!” Micheal smiled awkwardly, “It's alright, no worries.”

“Woah!! Sweet accent!” Kate smiled, bouncing her hands at her sides. “Haha, thanks.” Jeremy looked at the two, interrupting them, “This is Micheal, by the way, Kate! Micheal, this is Kate, my sister!” He smiled warmly at Micheal.

“It's a pleasure to meet you Kate.”
Micheal nodded, “Pleasure to meet you too, Micheal! Jeremy talks so much about you. I'm glad to meet the infamous Micheal Afton.” Before Kate could continue Jeremy elbowed her, “Shut up, Kate! Mike, do you want to go downstairs now?” Jeremy laughed awkwardly, light blush creeping up onto his face out of embarrassment. Kate smiled smugly, “Oh- uh, sure.” Micheal replied following Jeremy to the stairs that led downstairs.

“See you two!!” Kate called out, Micheal turned around and waved as the energetic blonde turned around to head back to wherever she came from before, “See ya!”

“Sorry about her, again dude. She's always like that with friends of mine.” Jeremy spoke quietly as he led Micheal down the hall heading to the basement. “Oh, don't worry about it at all. She seems lovely, Jeremy.” Micheal fidgeted with his black tee, putting his hands into the pockets of his jeans after he fixed the shirt. “She is lovely! Just she asks so many questions, so I apologize for her bombarding you with so many.” Jeremy apologized once again, Micheal smiled. “Like I said, don't worry about it.”

“Alright,” Jeremy came to a stop in front of the door that Micheal assumed led to Jeremys bedroom. He was nervous to be hanging out in his rooms and staying the next two nights in said room with Jeremy. Friends did that, right? “This is the door to my very wonderful and mysterious bedroom! No need to hide your awe once I open this door.” Jeremy moved his arms like they were waves before opening the door.

Jeremy walked down wooden steps into a room that was definitely colder than any of the other rooms in the house. It was a basement after all.

Jeremys room was very.. Jeremy.

Band posters filled the walls of his room, ranging from Pink Floyd to AC/DC. He had a vinyl record on a desk that was filled with little trinkets and, a very obvious bong. He did say he had a surprise for Mike, it was most likely weed.

Jeremys bed was a queen sized bed, with a black blanket and many pillows. At least 5? Micheal only had two for his bed back home, William never really cared for how he and his siblings had slept.

“So! How do you like it?” Jeremy looked at Micheal, smiling proudly, hands on hips. “It looks.. very you. It's really cool and welcoming.” Micheal explained as he looked around the room again, taking in everything that made the room very ‘Jeremy’-like. Jeremy put an arm around Micheals bony shoulder.

“Shall we watch some TV?” Jeremy asked, pointing to a small TV on another desk that Micheal hadn't noticed somehow. The brunette nodded, “Hell yeah, dude. What movie?”

“Well, what kinda movies are you into? Or- what movies would you fancy watching?” Jeremy spoke in a horrid British accent to mock Micheal. Micheal scoffed, “I don't really watch movies much, anything works.”

“HORROR! Before you get a second opinion in, we're watching horror.” Jeremy loudly announced, removing his arm from Micheals shoulder. Jeremy made his way towards his collection of movies that were kept in a box underneath the desk where the TV sat upon. “The Shining sound good, Mikey?” Micheal nodded, he wished upon a star that it wasn't gory.

Micheal got onto Jeremys bed, sitting comfortably with his knees up to his chest. Jeremy sat beside him as the movie played, “Have you ever seen this movie, Mike?” Jeremy looked over at Micheal with a wide grin. Micheal shook his head. “Duuuude! I so gotta get you to watch more movies with me.”

“If you ever watch movies with Kate, she'd probably make you watch some weird chick flick.” Jeremy stated, quickly shutting up as the movie started.

Micheal didn't really pay attention to what was on the screen, he knew horror was.. well scary. And bloody, a lot of the time. He either looked away and stared at the details of the blanket when it got to an uncomfortable scene, or at Jeremy analyzing every feature the boy had when he smiled.

Once the movie was over, Jeremy asked what his thoughts were on it. Micheal simply said, “It was- neat. Definitely not my thing, but still a cool movie. You have good taste, I see why you like it.” To which Jeremy happily gave Micheal his iconic welcoming, toothy grin that Micheal adored.

“Okay, now. Now, the surprise!” Jeremy scooted off of the bed, rushing over a drawer in a desk where the TV was not. Jeremy pulled somethings out of it, a lighter laid on top of the desk and he had a bag of something in his hands. The blonde turned around, showing off what he had in his hands.

“Oh my god.” Micheal laughed.

“Weed!!” Jeremy enthusiastically showed off his possession , sitting down on the fuzzy carpet under him. “Come sit with me dude, you want some?” Jeremy asked, patting the carpet beckoning for Micheal to sit down with him. Micheal scootched off the bed as well, just fall onto the floor into a sitting position in front of Jeremy.

Jeremy lit his blunt, taking a puff of it. Within coughing, he passed it over to Micheal who was hesitant to take it. He had smoked weed before, but had never shared it with someone, especially with someone he was completely infatuated with. The last time he ever smoked was with past friends. “First time smoking?” Jeremy broke the silence between them.

“Oh- uh. No, I've smoked before.” Micheal explained, hesitantly putting it to his mouth and taking a puff. He hadn't smoked in a long while. It felt nice. Micheal handed it back to Jeremy, and within 20 minutes or so it was put out and thrown out.

“So! Micheal, let's get talking. What's your favourite genre of music? I will be judging you harshly on this.” Jeremy asked, starting up a conversation. “Probably rock. I think?” Micheal answered quickly, he was a huge music nerd but had super bad memory, Jeremy ‘ooo’ed him. “What about you?” Micheal gestured for Jeremy to answer the same question.

“Probably the same, dude!” Jeremy smiled. “Kate's a huge.. uh pop? Fan though, or whatever genre ABBA is in.”

“That's pop, ABBA's pop.” Micheal confirmed. “Thought so! I am just so knowledgeable on music, my man.” Jeremy brought his knees up to his chest, stating his words a matter-of-factly. Micheal scoffed, “Oh, yeah? Let me test that.”

“Hell yeah, come at me Mikey.”

For around 40 minutes they bickered and spoke about music together. Jeremys statement completely becoming a lie, he was in fact, not very knowledgeable about music. At least, not more than the music nerd himself, Micheal.

“Dude- dude. I had the weirdest fucking interaction at work today.” Jeremy suddenly changed the topic from music to what happened to him. “What was the interaction?” Micheal questioned, awaiting for Jeremy to continue his thought.

“This fucking lady, dude! She came up to me asking for a refund on the pizza her son ordered. She said it was ‘too greasy’.” Jeremy mocked the lady at the end, Micheal laughed. “It's literally a shitty pizzeria, what did she expect?” Micheal added already knowing how the story went, Jeremy no longer worked at Freddys like Micheal did.

Due to a huge malfunction with Mangle, Jeremy had gotten badly injured. Suffering from memory gaps and lot of other things that came with losing a part of your frontal lobe.

“Exactly!!” Jeremy butt in. “I'm so glad that was my last day of work though dude. Or- wait. That wasn't today, was it?”

Micheal shook his head, “No. That wasn't today, that was a couple months ago, Jere.”

Jeremy groaned, “God. I'm glad you remembered it was a few months ago. Clearly I didn't!” he lightheartedly stated. “You know so much Mikey, you're very smart.”

“Me? Smart? Dude, I might be good with mechanical work, but I am not smart.” Micheal remarked, dramatically moving one of his arms to get his point across. “You are smart though! You're good with words and shit. That's smart.” Jeremy added on, leaning towards Micheal a bit.

“Good with words, how? With my stutter-filled bullshit?” Micheal laughed. Jeremy went quiet, the blonde was admiring the way Micheal laughed, with his hand covering his mouth as he smiled and laughed, Micheal looked so beautiful to the boy. Glancing down to Micheals lips, Jeremy noted how soft they looked.

“J- Jer?” Micheal snapped Jeremy out of his thoughts, Micheal had a red tint to his cheeks (He was blushing, clearly), awkwardly smiling as Jeremy leaned back away from Micheal. “Sorry dude, got lost in those sweet baby blues you have.” He teased, shooting dumb finger guns at Micheal. Micheal laughed, “God. You're so stupid, Jeremy.”

Silence filled the room for a little while, Micheal had a sudden burst of confidence. He wanted to tell Jeremy how endearing his idiocy was. He wanted to tell him everything. It felt like the right moment to just admit it all, just to pull the blonde in by the collar of his shirt and kiss him. But, would Micheal really go through with that? Probably not.

“I might be stupid, but at least I know how to talk to people!” Jeremy teased, Micheal got fakely offended, scoffing.

“I may not know how to talk to people Jere, but at least I can cook!” Jeremy let out a dramatic gasp, putting a hand to his heart, “Dude!! You did NOT just go there! I lit the kitchen on fire, once!”

“I so did.” Micheal smugly smiled.

Jeremy leaned in again, “You are a dick.” he insulted. Smiling so Micheal knew he didn't mean it. “And you're an idiot.” Micheal returned the smile.

Silence filled the room again.

Jeremy was leaned in over Micheals criss-crossed legs. Jeremy couldn't help but get lost in the ocean blue eyes Micheal had, they weren't making eye contact with him though. Jeremy knew exactly what Micheal was staring at, his lips. Micheal seemed to think he was slick with hiding his feelings, but they were very obvious to someone who analyzed almost everyones behaviours.

“Y'know, if you keep starin' at my lips, Mike. I might just have to kiss you.”

Jeremy broke the silence, teasing Micheal by leaning in a bit more and making eye contact with the brunette, who has gone completely red in front of him.

“I- I wasn't staring at your lips, Jeremy. I- uh. I was looking at the carpet.” Micheal avoided eye contact, looking around the room. Micheals heart was going a mile a minute. Jeremys smirk grew larger.

Micheal was caught. He knew he was a horrible liar when it came to Jeremy, the blonde could see right through him. It was like Jeremy was reading a book that had only one page that read, “I am crushing on you so hard.”

“Right, right. The carpet, what's so interesting about the carpet?” Jeremy teased. Micheal fiddled with his fingers, he was having a full on meltdown in front of Jeremy. The blonde knew what he was doing, and he doing it well. Micheal felt like at any minute he could explode into nothingness.

“I- um, a lot of stuff, like- it's fuzzy. And shit.” Micheal stuttered, failing to come up with a reason as to why the carpet was ‘so interesting.’

“Yeah? Do tell me more, pretty boy.” Jeremy continued his tease, “Do tell me the reasons as to why the carpet is just so much more interesting than what you were actually looking at.”

Micheal looked at him, but by making eye contact Micheal fell into an even deeper hole of gay panic and stuttering. He broke eye contact with the handsome green eyed boy in front of him. “I-, um. It's- .. uh. I don't- have any more reasons.” The carpet was a plain dark grey colour, the only interesting thing about it was that it was soft and fuzzy. He looked back at Jeremy, making eye contact again.

Jeremy raised his hand to put in on Micheals chest. “So, you weren't looking at my lips?” Jeremy already knew the answer of how Micheal felt. He just wanted to pull it out of Micheal, just to make him actually say it. They were both still stoned, but neither of them had let it get to them, this was a significant moment.

“Uh- , I was. I was looking at your lips, Jer. The carpets not all that interesting and-,” Micheal got cut off by the blonde swooping in to take that as a chance to kiss the brunette directly on the lips, shutting Micheal up. Jeremys ran his hands through Micheals hair, removing the one from Micheals chest.

Micheal returned the kiss, closing his eyes. Jeremy broke the first kiss, but quickly went in for another one. Micheal put one of his hands onto Jeremys waist, the other in around his neck, resting his thumb on Jeremys cheek. He let the feeling of stars colliding overtake him. Every time Jeremy kissed him, it felt like everything was right. Kissing Jeremy felt so right. It felt like finishing a puzzle, all pieces were in place.

This was the best feeling in the world, to be finally kissing the one you have fallen in love with for many, many months.

“JEREMIAHH!!” The door to Jeremys room opened.

Shit. Fuck. Oh god. Oh no. Bloody hell.
Jeremys lips broke contact with his and he yearned for more.

Kate broke out into laughter at the sight of her brother leaning over some person she had just met, “OH MY GOD—” Jeremy quickly moved away from being over Micheal. “Heyyy- Kate.” Jeremy waved, chill as he can be.
Kate looked at Jeremy, still giggling to herself, looking over at Micheal who refused to make eye contact. Micheal was blushing profusely, scratching his neck.

“Did I just walk in on somethingg?” She teased. Jeremy and Micheal awkwardly laughed together, “Yes, K, yes you did. You just walked in on your brother having game.”

“I thought that was some kind of myth! God, Micheal. He talks about you sooo much, I thought I was gonna die if I heard anything more about how hot he—“ Jeremy quickly got up, shutting her up by grabbing her shoulders and shaking her. “Ignore her Micheal, please.”

Micheal laughed, “You think I'm hot?”

Jeremy blushed harder than he had already been from hidden embarrassment on being caught basically making out with someone he had been flirting with for literal months. “I- Yeah. Yes, I do. Have you seen yourself?”

“You should see yourself, Jere. You're hot shit.”

Kate fake gagged, “Ew, romance! My brother's got a boyfriend!!” and ran back upstairs, closing the door behind her. The two boys giggled to themselves. The night ending like a never ending dream.

Micheal felt complete.

Jeremy was his, and he was Jeremys finally. A dream come true.
