The next omega on the slides catches his eye.
The blonde has piercing red eyes, narrowed into slits, mouth open like he’s in the middle of saying something. The picture zooms in on his face – there’s bags under his eyes, darkened by red. It moves back to focus on his body, little and thin under his dirty tank top, his skin clear except for purple and green bruises on his arms and legs. Another picture flashes, one of him with a toothbrush in his mouth, arm raised and pointing, talking at someone out of frame. The next shows his face lit up in a smile, then one of him in a small outfit that barely covers him.
A bid from a doctor in the lowest one is called out. 20,000 merits. Someone else ups it to 30,000 merits. Then there’s a 40,000. 50,000. 75,000…
“Two hundred thousand merits." Izuku forces the smoke out of his lungs. "And get him off the screen."
