Chapter 1: History

Chapter Text

((7 year old Star))

Star and her father were sitting at the dinner table, waiting for her mother finish dinner as they were talking.

Star heard a knock at the door and wanted to go and look who it was, but her parents stopped her.

Her mother cupped her chin and said :”Star, go to you rooms and hide, now.” Her mother let go of her chin and backed up.

Star listed, jumping of her stool and went up the stairs and looked back, her mother gave a sad smile, she smiled back.

She went up into her room, and into her closet, shutting the closet door behind them.

Star heard a door being kicked down, and after a moment scream from a man or a woman.

Star couldn’t what they where saying, but she closed her eyes in fear.

She heard multiple banging sounds from down stairs, and two thuds.

After a moment or two there were shuffling up the stairs, and that sound closer into her room.

How where they in her room? That door always creaked, why not this ti—

Oh

Oh shit

Star left her bedroom door wide open

Star was panicking quietly in the middle of her closet, hand over her mouth, wings on her back twitching every second.

“That kid must be here somewhere.” A very familiar voice said to themselves.

Star looked up when they heard shuffling towards to the closet.

When the person opened the door, Star immediately recognized them.

Number one hero, Dream:).

Shitshitshitshitshit——

“Huh,” Dream said, the smile on his masking burning into Stars brain “no one’s here, thought I heard something.”

The hero turned around and walked out of Star’s room.

Star was in a way, cunfused, to say the least.

How did he not see Star? They were literally open in sight!

Star decided to look at their hands, which were invisible.

What.

The.

Fuck.

What the fuck!

Star’s hands turns back visible, and Star finally noticed why their hand turned invisible and why that damn hero couldn’t see him.

They turned into a ghost.

Star turned back into a ghost and went tru the floor, noting that it was very quite.

Star heard thumps from upstairs, and stayed silent, stil in ghost form.

They heard the same voice from a minute ago,”I wil find that kid if it’s the last thing I do.”

And with that, the number one hero left the house, the house shacking when Dream closed the door.

Star went normal again, and looked where Dream looked a moment ago, and saw her dead parents.

Star fell to the ground, body shaking as she looked at her parent figures.

Oh, Star was gonna get so much revenge for them, so much that it would cost the world.

She went back up the stairs, and grabbed a few stuff she needed to live on the streets, great.

Star made smooth moves, like they did this everyday, but she didn’t.

But then, out of flippen nowhere, a crash came from her bedroom, she ran upstairs to find a boy maybe her age, and looked at them.

“Uhm…” Star started, looking back at her backpack and the boy, “hi?”

“Oh, I thought no one lived here.” The boy said, and Star saw some nasty scars on his face.

“Oh holy Prime, are you okay?” Star immediately went and kneeled down at the younger boy.

Star got ahold of his face, and looked closely at the scars.

”burn scars can be better recognized then normal scars,” her mother once told her,”burn scars have like, little bumbs on them, and normal scars don’t”

Star looked closely at the scars, burn scars.

“How did you get burned, boy?” Star asked.

“Oh, uh, my house got kinda blown up?” The boy said, and Star immediately snapped her eyes to his.

“I’m sorry, WHAT?!” Star didn’t hear any blowing sounds earlier.

“Wel, my house got more like, microwave + fireworked!”the boy renewed his sentence.

Star sighed, and continued with her talking, “do you want to come with me when I travel to find my own home?”

And with that, Tom (at some point he told her his name) and Star grabbed all the money in the house, the phones, knowing all of the passwords, some clothes at of her closet from where she hid, a phone charger when they found an outlet somewhere, and stuffed it all in a backpack, which miraculously everything fit fine.

Star went down stairs again, and went to her dead parents bodies, and looked at the Royal blue necklace her mother wore.

She walked up to the dead mother of hers, kneeled down, and carefully grabbed the necklace off of her mother neck.

Star looked at the necklace, and smiled as she put it on.

‘A little bit of her mother with her as she travels’, she thought.

Star stood up, and went to the back door, Tom followed suit.

She turned the handle without success, and went to the kitchen, and looked around.

For some reason star looked behind a few boxes, and found a baseball bat.

A smile got onto Star’s face, grabbing the baseball bat and went back to the glass back door.

Star rose the baseball bat, and swung it into the glass.

Glass shattered almost everywhere, except on Star because they turned invisible, Tom being far behind, and he had shoes on, no worry!

They went into the backyard, smile on Star’s face.

She always wanted to bust that stupid glass, and now she did it.

Her neighbor’s are probably gonna come from the backyard to check what was going on, so Star spread out their wings, them being big enough to lift her upwards, scouted down, grabbed Tom’s hand, and jumped, wings fluttering while doing so.

Star jumped over that ridiculously high outside door, and ran, ran to somewhere nobody knew where Star was.
