Work Text:
Seungmin joins the rest of his friend group in the living room of Chan’s flat with a sigh. He doesn’t wanna do Secret Santa normally, let alone with this specific set of people. Don’t get him wrong, Seungmin loves his friends, he really does, but they were trouble sometimes, and he fears this kind of situation will be no different.
As Seungmin looks around the room, he realises he’s the last one to join. Odd, normally he would be one of the first.
“Ah, Seungmin! You’re finally here.” Jisung says. He’s looking at the younger with a genuine-seeming smile, and Seungmin decides to tuck away the fear of Jisung’s teasing nature to instead trust in the older.
“Well, I think, to go in order of who picks a name, we should do it in order of who arrived first to who arrived last.” Jeongin says, receiving a chorus of ‘okay’s and ‘sure’s from the group. “So Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Minho, me, Jisung, Felix and then Seungmin, yeah?”
Seungmin sighs, sitting down on the couch next to Felix, the smile the elder flashes him making butterflies swarm about in his stomach. He returns the smile with a small, meek one.
The other members were quick to pick out their name, checking they hadn’t pulled themselves, before it was finally Seungmin’s turn. He pulls out the last slip of paper and checks, wincing at what he reads. The paper had the one name he didn’t want written on it.
Felix.
As Jisung starts talking about the rules, Seungmin feels the anxiety in his head build and build. Of course it was him who got Felix. Only Kim Seungmin had bad enough luck that he’d get his crush for Secret Santa. Fuck. He thinks it over. Maybe he could trade with Chan? Chan was sweet enough to give it up, and he knew the blonde boy better than Seungmin did. However, just as soon as the thought came into his head, Jeongin spoke up.
“Oh, and no changes. You’re stuck with whoever you got.” Jeongin says. Seungmin is too far in his own head to notice the twin smirks Jeongin and Jisung were giving him.
Seungmin sighs, turning and leaving. He was fucked, he really was.
*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*
“I don’t know what to get Felix for Secret Santa. Can you help me?” Seungmin asks as he walks into Chan’s room. Chan blinks up at him once, twice, before turning to face him fully.
“Well hello to you too, Seungmin.” Chan says, smirking lightly. Seungmin rolls his eyes with a huff.
“Hi Chan. Now, will you help me? Please?” The younger sits on Chan’s bed, staring at the elder. Chan couldn’t help but laugh at Seungmin and the pout that was settled on his lips.
“Minnie, you could get him anything and he’d appreciate it.” Chan says, getting up from his desk chair to sit beside the younger. “Normally you’re quite good with gifts and ideas. What’s going on?” Of course Chan could tell something was wrong. Of course. Seungmin sighs. He knew he had to tell Chan the truth, otherwise the older man wouldn’t believe him.
“I, I really like Felix. I have a massive crush on him. I want, I want the present to be perfect. I’d even change from Felix if I could. But Jeongin knows I got Felix, so I can’t even break the rules now.” Seungmin is still pouting, his pout getting even bigger, if that was possible. Chan wraps his arm around Seungmin’s shoulders.
“Seungmin, you know he likes you back, right?” Chan watches as Seungmin slowly flushes red.
“No, no he doesn’t, don’t lie to me.” Seungmin croaks out. He pushes at Chan lightly before reaching up to wipe at the singular tear trailing down his cheek. He hadn’t meant to get emotional, but the thought of Felix liking him back just seems so fake to Seungmin.
“I promise you, he does. I know him very well, and God, Seungmin, the way he looks at you! It’s like you’re the reason the sun shines every morning.” Chan says, pulling Seungmin into an awkward side hug. “I promise you. I wouldn’t say this to tease you, you know that, Minnie.” Chan says, leaning more into Seungmin. He knows Chan isn’t mean, but still…Felix? Liking Seungmin? No.
“I know, it just, it doesn’t feel right, Chan.” Seungmin sighs. “Well, I mean, the worst, the worst he’ll do is say he doesn’t feel the same, right?” Seungmin continues, pulling away from Chan to stare at him. He’s sure his eyes are wide and shiny with tears right now. The older gives him a soothing smile before nodding.
“That’s right. So, do you wanna try confessing through the Secret Santa? It’d be cute, you have to admit.” Chan says. Of course, the minute Seungmin shows signs of acceptance, Chan goes back to teasing. Of course.
“Sure, but I don’t know what to do. How do you confess to someone as brilliant as Felix?” Seungmin says, eyes flitting to the ceiling as he pouts in thought.
“I have the perfect idea, trust me.”
*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*
“I can’t believe that Felix got Seungmin. Like, God, that’s a perfect match. Give the boy with big confession plans his crush for Secret Santa.” Hyunjin says, munching on a bagel. He’s sat with Minho and Changbin in the kitchen as they eat brunch.
“It’s because it was rigged, dumbass.” Minho replies nonchalantly, eyes never once leaving his phone, where he was probably texting Jisung. The two had gotten together the same day they did the name selection and everyone else was sick and tired of it already. It’d only been two days since they selected names.
Hyunjin looks up, shock evident on his face. Changbin, however, seems unphased by the revelation.
“It was rigged? How do you know? Am I the only one who didn’t know?” Hyunjin asks, eyes flicking back and forth between the two older men. Changbin snorts into his hand at Hyunjin’s questions and his panicked nature. Minho looks up from his phone with a sigh.
“Jisung told me. He rigged it to get Felix to confess. Although, I don’t know how you know, Mister.” Minho says, turning to glare at Changbin. Changbin smirks and shrugs his shoulders.
“Your boyfriend is awfully loud. I heard him and Jeongin talking about rigging it. Cause puppy boy Seungmin actually likes Felix back. Seungmin pulled Felix’s name.” Changbin figuratively lays out his findings before leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest, a toothy grin on his face.
“Alright, dude, no need to be so cocky about it. But does Seungmin seriously like Felix back? He looks like he’d rather die than be near Felix most of the time.” Hyunjin continues, tapping his bottom lip in thought.
“That’s just how Seungmin shows love.” Minho says, eyes already cast back on his phone. Hyunjin could just vaguely make out something moving on his screen, so either he’d switched to Twitter or Jisung had sent him something.
“Hmm, true. Still. Liking Felix seems a little out there for him.” Hyunjin muses.
“Eh, who cares? Let’s just hope this whole thing works out or I’m never letting Jisung and Jeongin live this down.” Changbin says, smiling brightly at the prospect.
“Then I’ll just have to tell them about the time you fell off a chair during class that one time.” Minho says, smirking up at Changbin. Hyunjin looks between the two, eyes owlish and wide, before smiling mischievously.
“What time? Please, do enlighten me, Minho.” Hyunjin purses his lips.
“Well-“ Minho starts, but is cut off by a squawk of protest from the protagonist of the story he was about to tell.
“Shut it.” Changbin says, standing up to put a hand over Minho’s mouth. The feeling of saliva slicking across his hand, though, has him pulling away fast. “Ew!”
“So, as I was saying…” Minho continues. Changbin yells out in protest over and over, cutting Minho off continuously, and Hyunjin nearly falls off his own chair from how hard he ends up laughing at the older boys’ antics.
*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*
“Nope, I can’t do it. Please, let me change, please, Jeongin.” Seungmin says, looking at the fox-like boy sprawled across the bed opposite his own.
“No switches, dude. Besides, it’s too late now, the exchange is tomorrow and nearly everyone has gotten their presents sorted out. Don’t tell me you’re stagnating on what to get your oh-so-precious Felix-hyung.” Jeongin says, his voice getting louder and going all cutesy as he spoke about Felix. Seungmin launches himself off his bed, clambering onto Jeongin’s and putting his hand over the younger’s mouth.
“Shut up, dude!” Seungmin says. Once he’s confident that they were alone and no one was listening in, he pulls his hand away from Jeongin’s face.
“Oh, come on, hyung! You’re too much of a coward to confess, so just let me tell him already.” Jeongin says, rolling his eyes at Seungmin who’s gone off to resettle himself on his own bed.
“Actually, my gift for him for Secret Santa is to confess, so will you just shut up about it already?” Seungmin snaps, anger filling his features and dampening his tone as he turns to face Jeongin again. The younger looks shocked at Seungmin’s anger, and Seungmin sighs, schooling his features into his natural resting face again. “I, I’m sorry Jeongin. I shouldn’t have snapped. You were just trynna help. I’m sorry.” Seungmin apologises, eyes never leaving the younger’s face. Jeongin smiles at him, his usual genuine ‘everything’s fine’ smile, and Seungmin feels relief fill his body. He stands up and walks over to Jeongin, sitting down next to him.
“You owe me.” Jeongin says as he watches Seungmin walk over. The older boy rolls his eyes with a laugh. Of course.
“What do you want?” Seungmin asks, hand gently reaching out to pick at some fluff that was coming loose from the orange fluffy blanket Jeongin has on his bed. It was thick and cosy and Seungmin’s mind often wandered towards thoughts of cuddling Felix under it. Like right now. Right now his mind was wandering. He shakes his head and focuses back on his best friend, only to find the man smirking at him.
“Don’t look at me like that.” Seungmin says, lightly shoving at Jeongin’s shoulders.
“You’re thinking of loverboy!” Jeongin taunts, sing-songing the words. Seungmin could feel his face flush red and he brings his knees up to bury his face into them.
“Just tell me what you want as an apology for me snapping at you.” Seungmin whines, the volume of his sentence muffled by the soft material of his sweatpants.
“Fine. I’ll be nice to you. Only because I really need help with this. Can you, can you put a letter in Changbin’s room for me? I’m too scared to do it myself.” Jeongin sounds shy and Seungmin pulls his still very red face out of his knees to look at the younger. He had also flushed too and Seungmin knows he could tease the younger here, but he could also tell that this was a sensitive topic for Jeongin. The younger rarely got serious about relationships, being demiromantic, so when he did find someone he liked enough to confess to, it was usually coupled with fear and sadness.
“Sure. Give it here.” Seungmin says, keeping his voice soft so as to not disrupt the gentle atmosphere that had come to settle over the room the pair shared. Jeongin shuffles up from his slouched position before riffling through the top draw of his bedside cabinet and producing a pretty thick looking envelope. It was white and had cute red lace-like trimming printed along the edges. The letter had been sealed with a little rattle-y Christmas sticker and Seungmin feels his heart clench at how adorable the younger is sometimes.
“Thank you, hyung.” Jeongin whispers, randomly engulfing the younger in a back hug. They stay like that for a few minutes, and probably would’ve stayed stuck like that for a lot longer if it wasn’t for Felix suddenly bursting through their door.
“Jeongi- oh, hi, sorry, am I interrupting something?” Felix asks, eyes flicking back and forth between Jeongin and Seungmin. His eyes weren’t moving much though, as Jeongin had come to rest his chin on Seungmin’s left shoulder, and therefore they were quite close. Seungmin imagines what this sight must look like to Felix. Jeongin, the member of their friend group who hates affection the most, back hugging Seungmin whilst the latter holds what very obviously looks like a love letter in his hand.
“Ah, no, Minnie was just helping me with something.” Jeongin says, finally detaching himself from Seungmin’s back and moving to sit beside him instead. “Did you need something?” He asks, fox-like eyes wide and slowly blinking. The blonde boy nods his head, and Seungmin takes that as his cue to leave.
“I’ll go do what you asked me to, okay? Hopefully it goes well, Innie.” Seungmin smiles down at Jeongin as he stands and when the younger flashes him a small smile in return, along with a small affirmative nod, Seungmin turns to face Felix again.
“Hi Lix.” Seungmin says as he passes the Australian. He hears Felix whisper a small ‘hi Seungmin’ back, and the boy in question feels his heart clench at Felix’s broken tone. Oh fuck, he had 100% gotten the wrong idea from the scene he had walked in on. He lets the door to his room shut behind him before sighing. Seungmin allows himself to wallow for about five seconds before shaking his head. He has a mission to complete.
With the new task in mind, Seungmin turns to the hallway, walking past two rooms before coming to the final room in their small little flat. It was shared by Chan and Changbin, and Seungmin knows the older would be in there, whereas Changbin was currently at the gym. He knocks, waiting for a few seconds until he hears the familiar ‘come in!’ from Chan. Seungmin opens the door and walks in, eyes naturally doing a quick sweep of the room to check that Changbin is gone, and his quick sweep confirms that yes, Changbin is gone.
Chan and Changbin’s room is the biggest of the entire flat, and the two had dutifully been told to take it due to the amount of equipment Chan has thanks to being a music student who produces tracks and sells them for some extra cash in his spare time. The equipment took up most of left side of the room, which is Chan’s side. The wall has some polaroids and pictures on it, an amalgamation of pictures from Australia to remind the eldest of home, and then some pictures of the crew here at university. There’s a small Christmas tree on the floor, and Seungmin can’t stop the small smile that fills his face at the sight of it. He finally tears his eyes away from Chan’s part of the room when the elder speaks up.
“Do you need something, Seungmin?” Chan asks, turning from his desk to face the tall boy standing before him.
“I have something to give Changbin. It’s not from me, it’s from someone else, before you ask. Do you know where I can put it where he’ll find it?” He asks, eyes doing another quick sweep of the room as he speaks. Chan points at Changbin’s bedside dresser.
“Second draw. Once he comes back from the gym, he’ll put his headphones in there. He’ll 100% notice something if it’s in there.” Chan clarifies. Seungmin thanks him before meandering over to the dresser. He pulls out the second draw and gently places Jeongin’s love letter in there. As he turns back around to leave, something hanging above Changbin’s bed catches his attention.
“Oh, he finally put it up then.” Seungmin says, catching Chan’s attention again. Above Changbin’s bed is a large trans flag that has a patchwork collection of random scribbles from the members of the flat on it. They had all banded together to work on it for Changbin as a little present after he had gotten top surgery last year.
“Yeah. I came back to him doing it and he looked so happy once it was up. Sometimes I catch him staring at it, all misty-eyed.” Chan responds. Seungmin turns to face Chan and finds the older already staring at him.
“It’s cute. I’m glad we did it. Anyways, I’m gonna head back to my room now. Thanks for your help, Chan.” Seungmin says. Chan smiles at him in response before turning back to his desk. Seungmin can see the producing programme he uses pulled up, and he smiles at Chan’s habits before leaving. As he leaves, he sees Felix entering his room that he shares with Hyunjin, and Seungmin breathes a sigh of relief. He was grateful he wasn’t gonna have to do the whole uncomfortable barging in situation that poor Felix had gone through earlier.
Seungmin pushes the door to his room open, Jeongin immediately beckoning him over.
“What?” Seungmin asks as he walks over.
“Felix, he thought me and you were together. I told him that wasn’t true, that you like someone else, and he thinks it isn’t him. So, you can get the element of surprise in with your present now!” Jeongin says, practically bouncing on his bed in his excitement. Seungmin thinks it over, and he supposes the maknae of their friend group must be magic, because how the fuck did he always spin such situations to work in their favour?
“Huh, thank you, Innie.” Seungmin says, smiling at the younger boy before reaching out to ruffle his faded blue hair. However, it isn’t long before Jeongin’s smile slowly turns mischievous and Seungmin feels his heart drop. “What’s that look about?”
“You owe me something else now!” Jeongin responds back quickly and Seungmin rolls his eyes. Typical Innie.
“What do you want now?” Seungmin asks, flicking Jeongin’s forehead and laughing when the younger falls back with a yelp.
“You’re mean! Eugh, anyways, I want some of Felix’s cookies, can you go ask him for some? Please?” Jeongin says. He turns on his fake innocent eyes and Seungmin feels like vomiting. Brat.
“Fine, but only because you genuinely have been really helpful to me.” Seungmin says, standing up again with a sigh.
Seungmin returns five minutes later with a bright red face and a small plastic sandwich bag with a handful of cookies in it. He hands them to Jeongin before falling face first into the younger’s fluffy blanket.
“What happened?” Jeongin asks a few seconds later, words muffled around the cookie still in his mouth.
“I called him cute, and he said that I was the cute one, and then I stumbled over my words and panicked, so I grabbed the cookies and ran.” Seungmin mutters into the blanket. He hears Jeongin laugh for a few seconds before coughing on a cookie and Seungmin sits up with a sigh, patting Jeongin’s back and helping him through his coughing fit.
“Well, at least you won’t have to live in the awkwardness of that interaction for long. Tomorrow is the gift exchange.” Jeongin says after finally regaining his breathing. Seungmin tenses at the reminder. Tomorrow is…not that far away. He doesn’t think he can confess to Felix. But he has Chan and now Jeongin relying on him to see the plan through.
“Fuck.”
*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*
“Oh, come on. Not you guys too!” Felix whines as he enters the living room, his present for Seungmin trapped in his arms. Jeongin and Changbin are sat on the couch kissing. Well, Changbin is on Jeongin’s lap, but Jeongin is on the couch, so it counts. “God, I was getting good at avoiding Minho and Jisung, and now I gotta avoid you guys too. This isn’t funny.” Felix pouts when Changbin starts laughing at him, his face tucked into Jeongin’s neck.
“Come on, at least be happy for us!” Jeongin says, eyes flicking to Felix’s face for a second before landing firmly back on Changbin’s still giggly form. Felix resists the urge to fake gag. He can’t deny, he is happy that Jeongin has found someone who reciprocates his feelings.
“Fine, you two are cute at least, unlike Minho and Jisung. They were practically fucking on the counter yesterday. I just wanted to make some Christmas cookies for everyone. Congrats, seriously.” Felix finishes his little rant, smiling at the couple.
As more footsteps become audible, Felix settles down on the couch that he typically shared with Changbin. Although he supposes that won’t be happening anymore. He looks over at the couple as Chan enters the room. Changbin has gotten off of Jeongin’s lap and is now sitting next to him…in the spot Seungmin normally sits in. Oh god, does that mean Seungmin is gonna have to sit next to Felix now? I mean, it’d be nice, considering he’s just about to confess to the younger boy, but it’d be awkward if Seungmin rejects him.
Felix gets so caught up in his head, he doesn’t even notice Seungmin entering the room and sitting next to him until he feels the younger’s arm brush against his. He jolts.
“You okay? Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.” Seungmin says, a soft pink tint filling his cheeks. He looks so cute with his wide eyes and lightly partly lips that Felix has to dig his nails into his thigh to stop himself from climbing on the younger’s lap and kissing him numb. It wouldn’t be a good look, not after he had just chastised Changbin and Jeongin for doing exactly that.
“No, no, you’re fine.” Felix responds, flashing Seungmin a big smile. The younger seems entranced for a second before snapping out of it, sending a soft smile back at Felix. Felix goes to speak again, but finds himself cut off by Jisung’s voice.
“You two lovebirds done?” Jisung smirks at Felix from where he’s perched on Minho’s lap. The older of the two looks unphased, like normal, but Felix can see the way his hands are locked protectively around Jisung’s hips. It’s cute, but Felix can feel a pang of jealousy flit through him. He wants to be held protectively by Seungmin and knowing that his plans for today may ruin any chance of Seungmin even talking to him again makes his jealousy burn even harsher.
“Stop glaring, Yongbok,” is the sentence that cuts through Felix’s thoughts, and he blinks back into reality to see everyone staring at him. Minho is smirking at him, which means he’s the one who busted out the Korean name. Felix thinks maybe he should poison the next cookie he gives to Minho.
“Sorry.” Felix gets out, biting his bottom lip in embarrassment as he turns his head down to look at the present still situated in his lap.
“Well then, let’s start shall we?” Jeongin speaks up. Felix looks up at the younger and sees the way Changbin is practically glued to his side, and feels the jealousy building up again. He looks away, focusing his eyes on Chan as he hands his present to Jisung who bounces lightly in excitement at the prospect of what the present could be. It turns out to be a necklace that Jisung had been eyeing up for ages. Felix can’t help but laugh along with everyone when he flies out of Minho’s lap to tackle the eldest in a hug. The smile that’s on Chan’s face when Jisung skips back to Minho fills Felix with a happy, bubbly feeling.
The rest of the members are quick to share their presents in the order they picked names. Changbin gives his gift to Hyunjin – it’s a perfume that Hyunjin was complaining about running out of but had been unable to find in stores. Hyunjin’s present for Chan is a couple of rare to find CDs for some of his favourite bands. (Felix swears Chan tears up but he adamantly denies it). Minho goes next, passing his gift to Jeongin who happily rips it open to reveal a cute fox plushie that Felix remembers the youngest mentioning all the way back in January. Jeongin passes his gift to his boyfriend who is still clinging to him, and the older gasps in excitement that his boyfriend got him for Secret Santa. It’s a pretty bracelet that Jeongin pulls up the sleeve of his hoodie to reveal has a matching pair. Changbin, unlike Chan, does let his tears fall as he leans up to place a kiss on Jeongin’s cheek.
“Thank you baby.” Changbin says, and Felix finds himself, along with all of his friends, giggling at the way Jeongin’s cheeks tinge pink at the nickname.
“Okay, shut up, my turn!” Jisung loudly proclaims. He’s quick to yelp as Minho pinches his side. “Ow, okay, sorry.” Jisung hands his present to Minho and upon opening it, Minho gasps. It’s a scrapbook full of memories of his time at university, with more space still to be filled. Jisung giggles at Minho’s reaction before flushing red when the older kisses his neck.
Lastly, it’s Seungmin and Felix’s turns.
“Well, by process of elimination, we must’ve gotten each other. Um, can, can we go somewhere else to exchange our presents, Felix?” Seungmin asks. His face is red, and he’s refusing to look Felix in the eyes. Felix feels a little nervous when faced with Seungmin’s own nervousness but mutters a small ‘sure’. He stands up and follows the taller boy into the kitchen.
“Um, so, please don’t hate me for this, Felix.” Seungmin says, and Felix tilts his head in confusion before placing his gift on the table to take Seungmin’s from him. Felix gently unwraps the wrapping paper, smiling softly to himself upon noticing the cute little dogs on the paper. He opens up the box after and gasps. Inside is a cute little sweater (it’s blue with white clouds on it and Felix has been eyeing it up for ages), alongside a cute little dog plushie that has a Santa hat on. He notices an envelope underneath and gently places the box on the table next to his gift before reaching in and pulling out the envelope.
“Minnie, whilst I read this, you should open your gift, okay?” Felix says. He’s confident. Felix is positive that he’s picking up what Seungmin is putting down. The younger startles but nods his head and gently picks up the present Felix had carefully prepared for him. Felix quickly drops to the floor, crossing his legs as he gently opens the letter. He can briefly see a flash of blue hair from the door frame and realises the rest of his friends are listening in, but he finds that, actually, he doesn’t really care if they’re there.
Seungmin settles on the floor opposite him, fingers gently removing the starry paper that Felix had chosen for his presents. Felix knows the inside of that box perfectly, having spent ages staring at it, making sure it was perfect, before Chan finally forced him to close it and wrap it. Inside are eleven cookies that read “Seungmin I ♡ U”. He had spent ages making and remaking them, just to make sure they were perfect. He had so many leftover cookies, and all Felix could think was God bless Changbin and his large appetite.
Felix shakes his head and turns his attention back to the letter in his hand. The paper is smooth and crisp, and the lines are the same perfect print that Felix has come to associate with Seungmin over the past couple of years of knowing each other. He’s quick to read over the letter, heart catching in his throat, a gasp leaving instead, when he reads the words ‘I really like you. More than friends should.’ His heart starts racing. Seungmin actually likes him back!
Seungmin’s own gasp is what pulls Felix out of his head. He’d been so caught up in reading the letter that he hadn’t noticed Seungmin’s hesitation with opening the box, but he finally had pushed through and opened the damn thing and now tears were welling in his eyes. He gently places the box to the side before wiping at his tears, his lips pursed out in a pout as he cries.
“Hey, no, Minnie, what’s wrong? I’m sorry, did I upset you?” Felix is in front of Seungmin before he can even think, hands gently tugging at Seungmin’s wrists to get him to lower his hands. “Come on, puppy, let me see your face. I need to know what I did wrong.” It must’ve been the nickname that gets through to him because Seungmin’s hands slowly lower. He looks up at Felix with pouty lips and shiny eyes, and Felix can’t stop himself this time. He leans down and kisses the puppy boy, relishing in the noise of shock Seungmin lets out before kissing Felix back.
Felix settles his hands on Seungmin’s shoulders and goes to slide them around the back of Seungmin’s neck as the kiss deepens until a cough breaks the pair apart from each other. Seungmin is panting, lips pink and slick with spit, eyes sparkly and wide and unblinking, and Felix feels himself fall all over again. How could he not when his boy looks like that after kissing him? He looks pass Seungmin and sees Minho and Chan standing in the doorway with their arms crossed, the rest of their friends laughing from where they crowd behind the pair.
“Weren’t you the one complaining the other day about me and Jisung kissing in here? So why don’t you follow your own advice, eh, Yongbok?” Minho says, voice dripping with sarcasm and fake annoyance. Chan coughs into his hand, trying to hide his laugh, but ultimately it fails, and he stumbles backwards lightly as he lets the laugh out. Felix watches as Hyunjin catches Chan before he can fall, and the look shared between the two is something that Felix is 100% planning on interrogating his roommate about later on.
“It’s part of the present, Minho.” Felix says, a cheeky smile on his face as he stands up, offering Seungmin a hand, the younger squeaking and flustering all over again at Felix’s sentence. Once he’s pulled Seungmin up, Felix bends down again to collect the letter and the box of cookies from the floor, placing them on the table, before back hugging Seungmin. His head just peaks over Seungmin’s shoulder and he sticks his tongue out at Minho as he nuzzles into Seungmin’s neck. The younger is radiating heat, still flustered that not only does Felix like him back, but all his friends saw them kiss and Felix is back-hugging him.
The entire apartment is quite for a few seconds until Changbin steps forward with a giggle.
“So, who’s gonna tell them the name selection was rigged?”
