Madam Ping hands him an enormous bag of takeaway. When she sees Alhaitham’s puzzled face, she smiles.
“I gave you another serving for free, so you can share with your boyfriend.”
Alhaitham blinks, because he’s pretty sure he’s never been here with Zhongli back when they were still together. However, in the past few weeks, he had lunch here with Dainsleif a handful of times.
Madam Ping keeps rambling as Alhaitham watches in horror.
“The philosophy professor, was it? He could use some extra curry, he looks like he never eats anything.”
Alhaitham’s mortified.
However, he doesn’t have the patience to explain that Dainsleif certainly isn’t his boyfriend and that the reason she’s seen him so many times is that he’s his ex’s boyfriend who also happens to be trapped with him all the time because Zhongli’s an airhead who can’t remember when they’re supposed to have lunch.
He profusely thanks her. On the bright side, he’s going to eat two dinners tonight. Dainsleif’s never touching this curry.
