Today was a very different day at the agency. For starters one of the members who is usually here very early and in fact one of the first ones in was no where to be seen. And that sparked a concern for their friend with the rest of the agency members.
Hell it was even more concerning when even Dazai showed up before he did. When he walked into the agency office Dazai could tell that something was not right. As he looked around he noticed that a certain blonde haired idealist was nowhere in sight.
As Dazai went to his usual spot to beg Atsushi to do his paperwork for him , the door opened and a very tired looking Kunikida walked in. "Kunikida are you ok?" Atsushi asked noticing how tired he looked."You don't look so good ...."
They watched in silence as Kunikida had started the days work without noticing that almost everyone in the room was looking at him.
Whilst Kunikida was working away and trying not to fall asleep at work because it wouldn't be ideal of him , Dazai had taken up going over to make sure that Kunikida stopped doing his work.
"Kunikida." Dazai said as he stood facing him. "You need to stop working. You don't look well." That got the idealists attention. "No , im fine." He insisted trying not to sound weak , but really he was fighting the urge to cough and trying hard not to pass out right there and then.
Dazai knew how Kunikida hated abandoning his schedule and plans for the day and hated not finishing the work that he had to do , but he also knew that Kunikida was most likely sick and needed lots of rest before he could even think of going back to work.
"Kunikida come on , you have to go and get some rest." Dazai said. He watched as the idealist had his head on the desk and was pratically out like a light.
"I'm gonna go get Yosano." Dazai said as he walked off to find the agencys doctor. Soon enough Dazai came back with Yosano who was looking at Kunikida with concern.
"It seems that our patient has fallen asleep." She said. They had managed to get Kunikida to wake up so now all that was left was to get him home so he could get the rest he needed.
"Kunikida you have to go home today. Your clearly not well enough to be here." Yosano said. As much as he hated to admit it , Kunikida knew that since she was the agencys doctor Yosano was right about her advice she gives out. And he couldnt argue with her even if he tried to.
This meant that he had to abandon his entire schedule he had planned out much to his dissapointment. All he could do was listen to her.
Even though he would rather stay and stick to his schedule , he had to leave and go home when even the president insisted that he needed to go home untill he was well enough to come back. And he couldn't not listen to an order from the president.
Turns out he didn't have to walk back on his own as funnilly enough , Dazai was the one who was accompanying him. Kunikida was really trusting Dazai to drive him home. This was gonna be something.

Awhile later , they had arrived to where Kunikida lived. They got out the car and Dazai was watching Kunikida carefully as he was at the door to let themselves in.
"Come on Kunikida you need rest." Dazai said as he stood infront of the idealist watching him. "But ......" Kunikida tried to protest knowing damn well that if he stayed home he would have to abandon his plans for the day and whatever work was waiting for him at the agency.
"The president said that you were to stay home untill you are better." Dazai said. It took awhile but it seemed that Kunikida finally gave up and let himself fall asleep.
Whilst he were asleep , Dazai had now taken up the job of taking care of him untill he was well enough to go back to work. He had started on thinking of what he was going to for Kunikida.
He went into the kitchen and grabbed some things he hoped that Kunikida wouldn't mind being used. He then got to work preparing something that he was sure would help Kunikida be better again.
A while later and he was done. He carefully carried the bowl of soup up to Kunikida. He was suprised to see that he was still asleep so he left the bowl on the table and waited for him to wake up.
It wasnt untill an hour or so later then that he did wake up. The amount of rest that he was getting wasn't exactly an improvement but it was something.
"Dazai ....." Kunikida asked. He was still tired despite the rest he was getting and felt just about the same he did that morning except he now had a headache. He moved to sit up and saw that Dazai was sitting at the end of the bed.
Dazai had noticed the movement comming from Kunikida's end of the bed and turned to see him sat up and staring at him. Dazai noticed that Kunikida still looked as tired as he did back at the agency office.
He got up and moved so he was standing near Kunikida to see how he was. "Kunikida , how are you feeling?" Dazai asked.
"Still not better." Kunikida said trying his hardest not to cough and failing. He looked down avoiding eye contact with Dazai.
"Well , thats why I am here!" Dazai said. "Don't worry Kunikida. I will be the one to take care of you untill you are better again."
"Thanks. " Kunikida said. Dazai looked over towards the now cold bowl of soup that he spent awhile making for Kunikida. He quickly grabbed it and walked towards the door.
"I did make this for you but its gone cold now." Dazai said. "Im going to make it again." He walked out the door leaving a shocked Kunikida behind.
A while later , Dazai came back with yet another bowl of soup this time not cold. He handed it over to Kunikida who took it.
Kunikida looked at it before deciding to take a spoonful of it. He was suprised that it actually tasted good seeing as Dazai was the one who made it.
"Its good." Kunikida said. "See I can cook!" Dazai said. Kunikida nodded in response agreeing with Dazai and continued to eat the rest of the soup.
"So how are you now?" Dazai asked.
"I still feel the same." Kunikida said. "I hate not being able to stick to my schedule." He sighed and laid back down again.
"Don't worry. You'll get better soon." Dazai said "And you will be able to follow your schedule again."
"I hope so." Kunikida said. "Its not fun having to be inside all day."
" Im sure it isn't." Dazai said as he watched Kunikida go back to sleep again. Dazai had made sure that he would stay with Kunikida untill he were better.
A few days passed by and Kunikida was back to normal again. Which meant that he was able to go back to work again.
