“I know you’re not going to hear me right now,” Angela says, for once sitting on his couch, fully clothed, rubbing the back of his neck. “But you should go to therapy. Because no one can carry this much weight, Tim, and not need to put it down once in a while. So just think about it, okay? I don’t wanna lose you.”
He wants to tell her he doesn’t need it, that he’s fine and can handle himself. But she sees him in a way that no one else does.
“I’ll think about it,” he says.
“Good boy,” she says and he actually chuckles. Maybe there’s hope.
