2022 Ghostember Advent Calendar

Summary:

Just a collection of Ghost prompts my friend Sammy and I are doing! :D These are all written by me and don't really go together cohesively and are just for fun. All fluff, because I'm lame and am a sucker for it. Also, I don't talk a lot about the ghouls masks, but if it doesn't specify just assume it's a glamour or just picture them with a helmet if you want. I for some reason have a hard time with them.

Also, I realize I just reuse the same characters names, it's just easier for me that way and they aren't meant to be a story so they're all separate from one another.

Notes:

This is my first time posting anything on here, so be gentle, also I'm still figuring out how to format on here! Blame Sammy for making me post these.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Day One: Strangers becoming friends

Chapter Text

It wasn’t hard to notice the short but fiery stranger that started to frequent Sammy’s coffee shop.

While he was polite to the staff, he seemed easily irritated by the other customers, often finding himself in verbal debates with them. It was almost like he came just to practice his wit and intelligence against new people. Oddly enough, these debates seemed to just attract more visitors to the coffee shop as well.

So, Sammy decided she wanted to know what was up with this guy. And today was that day.

She eyed him sitting in his normal spot, a table meant for two, but always was just him. He was wearing all black, tight black jeans with a faded black tshirt with some band design that she hadn’t heard of, but it had the words King Diamond across it. His hair was pulled back into a tight knot at the back of his head, and his blue eyes seemed to be scrutinizing everyone in the shop, but yet they never fell on her.

Sammy untied her apron and set it down behind the counter, shooting a glance towards her coworker and roommate, Brae, “I’m taking my lunch, okay?” Brae eyed her and then gestured towards the stranger with her head in a silent question. Sammy grinned and nodded, she had been obsessing over this stranger for weeks before deciding to get to know him.

Brae just waved her hand at her in response and went back to work.

With a deep breath Sammy headed over to the man’s table and sat down in the empty chair across from him. As she sat, she found herself being caught in his stare.

‘Finally,’ Sammy thought. ‘It was as if he would never notice me.’ She folded her hands in front of her on the table and leaned forward, “I want to know what your deal is.”

He eyed her with interest, and then spoke, “It’s not polite to demand things from someone without introducing yourself first.” His voice was quieter than she had expected, but she normally only heard him in debates.

A shiver went down her spine at the sound. “I’m Sammy, as you can see by the name tag I wear.” The man laughed, “Oh, you’re feisty, I like that.” He leaned forward, placing both of his forearms on the table, “I’m Sodo, since you want to know so bad. And what do you mean by my “deal””

Sammy narrowed her eyes at him, “I want to know why you spend so much time here, arguing with strangers.” Sodo laughed again, “Everyone needs an outlet for their frustrations or to get away from their normal life, right? It’s a good destresser for me. Plus, this coffee shop has some pretty cute baristas.”

Sammy scoffed as he winked at her. “Right, since you spend so much time looking at the baristas.”

“I guess I probably don’t spend as much time looking at the baristas because they’re already busy looking at me.”

‘Shit, he’s seen me staring at him?’ Sammy thought, suddenly embarrassed. A slight smile appeared across Sodo’s face, he could tell she was flustered now, “I’d be happy to get to know you better, if you ever feel like getting to know me. Get to know my ‘deal’ as much as you would like.”

Sammy couldn’t help but grin, she wanted to know everything about this guy.
