waka's never the one to indulge in online dating. he finds it too troublesome to set his profile. coming up with a bio is easy. just slapping some selfies and stolen pics of himself on his profile will make anyone and everyone want to match with him
but then he matched with you
he's matched with so many people already that he considers this as a pastime to chat with other people when he's bored, so he knows by first chat that you're the shy type who lets the other party carry on with the conversation
and he doesn't like that
so he leaves you on read
you, on the other hand, are heartbroken. hopeless. crushed. miserable . whatever synonyms the word 'depressed' have
but you already expected that to happen. it's not the first time you got ghosted but he's so-your-type-you-like-his-face-so-damn-much
yeah. sad
and once again, you punch your pillow at night in great sadness as you wallow in your self pity
it came as a happenstance when you two met in person. your friends dragged you to a party that you didn't even want to go to since you're very very very sure that they would get so thrashed they forget about you
you get in the house and you see him. and you froze. of course, you immediately recognized him. you literally saved his pictures from the dating app. his hair was different now. compared to his pictures where his hair was blonde, currently, he's got his hair on a two-tone and you usually get turned off by funky hair colors but this – he actually pulled it off perfectly
it suits him so much you hoped you can somehow get your friend to get a picture of him. and the way he ties it to a half bun makes his earrings pop out more
why must you have your friend take the picture instead of you, you ask? you're embarrassed. the guy ghosted you and you know he won't remember you but you don't want to risk it!
just imagining how he reacts if he recognizes you makes you panic. or worse, he sees you and gives you a certain look before going on about his night and acting like you're the most disgusting person in the house and might even tell his friends about the weirdo girl he matched with
that didn't happen. tg
what did happen was your friend dragged you and shoved you to his chest, leaving you with audacious supportive words that you couldn't even process with how you could feel imaushi wakasa's heavy hand on your shoulder
"h-hi" you squeak out. you were only met with a raised eyebrow and giggles from his friends
wakasa on the other hand, recognizes your face. he can't forget that face of yours, you're pretty. the only problem why he didn't push through with chatting with you was only because you're boring as fuck to chat with
he still remembers your icebreaker and it was cringe. he's not the type to push a girl away especially not with someone like you with your face in a full-on panic so he makes the first move and asks, "are you y/n who i matched with?"
cue the excuses you made, it's like you have no dignity left as you keep spouting nonsense. and he knows you're trying to get away, he respects that. but the way you smile in nervousness and panic urges him to make you stay and tease you
he actually managed to calm you down and have an engaging conversation together. you answer his questions while sometimes giving your own witty remarks. you then ask him your own questions to which he seemed like he didn't have any problems with. his tone came off low but still pleasant enough to give you warmth in your stomach and a comfortable smile on your face
the conversation continued on through the night just like that. the hype you felt from meeting him dwindled down to exhaustion and you eventually got to the kitchen. wakasa wanted to get a soda and he took your wrist to have you come with him because, "i don't want you running away from me"
however! now he has you on the wall, his hand planted beside your head while the other hand lays on your waist
everyone was in the living room so it's practically empty where you are. wakasa's body was also blocking you so whoever passes by won't see your face
"i don't want to pass up the chance to kiss a pretty girl like you" he smirked, and you realized then that you really really like him. the butterflies in your stomach kept fluttering and it was like it eventually disappeared the moment his lips met yours in an unhurried manner as he tips your chin up
your cheeks were flushed from the banter you had with this man. you didn't think this night would end with you literally in his arms, lips sliding and pushing against each other in a slow dance that got your head spinning already
whatever happens after would happen. right now, all you want is to indulge in imaushi wakasa's presence
you reach up, cupping waka's cheek as you slowly melt in the kiss. the wind's cold against your flushed skin and the way he trails his hand up your clothe waist to the back of your shoulder makes you shiver from the warmth it brings
the kiss was innocent at first, just a simple caressing of wet lips
this was fine, you think. it's the perfect pace for the first kiss from someone you like. but then he catches your bottom lip between his teeth and that had you jumping, he immediately followed it up with a swipe of his tongue as if to soothe the slight sting from his sharp teeth
he pulls back before you got to do the same to him, his hand comes up to your neck, just putting it there after giving it a soft squeeze that has you gasping in lowkey delight
"what was that for?" this came out in a whisper as your mind is in shambles by now. he leans back and softly smiles with how your eyes were half-lidded, lips wet, and cheeks flushed red
he likes you. he thinks he wants to keep you
you're so different online and in person. you come off as very awkward and shy when behind the screen but in person? you're humorous, quick to come up with a reply and you know how to maintain a conversation
he thinks you're prettier in person too, so he asks, "come home with me?"
your eyes blow wide, an excited smile blooms on your face, and you squeak, "okay!"
