Summary
Pierro startled when he felt a sudden touch on his thigh. His eyes darted down to find Ajax's hand resting over it, rubbing soothing circles with his thumb.
"You did everything you could."
"And it still wasn't enough..." Pierro's grip on the steering wheel tightened.
"Don't be too hard on yourself," Ajax continued in that soft tone. "Kaeya had two fathers and he was loved by them both a lot."
For a moment, only the only sound in the car was that of the eerie violin playing from the radio. It only did to unnerve Pierro even more.
"He is the one who doesn't understand…"
