No one else in the League is allowed to go down there and no one's heard from the researchers down there in years, which means that you have no idea what to expect down there. But the security of your career is riding on this, since you're otherwise unimpressive with lackluster results.
...So it really doesn't help that you've fumbled the bag massively by getting extremely drunk at a work event while having the world's worst anxiety....
