Daisy approached Thomas after the servants’ Christmas lunch.
“Thomas?”
He greeted her with the charming smirk that he knew made her blush.
“Yeah?”
“I’ve got a present for you.”
Thomas blinked.
“For me?”
Daisy nodded, and shyly pushed a brown package into his hands, tied with a bit of ribbon.
Curiously, he unwrapped it, to reveal a pair of hand-knitted woolen socks.
His smile then was involuntary and genuine.
“Did you make these?”
She nodded again. “I remember you complaining about the cold a while ago, so I thought you might like something warm.”
“Thank you, Daisy. I— Thank you.”
