“Mi Amor!” Rudy’s face heats up at the nickname, burying his face deeper into the book he was reading.
Alejandro had been walking around his ranch house looking for the other male for half an hour now. When the two first woke up, Alejandro had paperwork he had to finish meaning the other had to find something to do in the meantime. Now that he was finished, all Alejandro wanted to do was curl up next to his husband and not think about work for the rest of the day.
Rudy found himself in the library Alejandro built for him that morning. He was curled up in one of the sofa chairs, a blanket over his lap, and a now empty cup of coffee sitting nearby. He’d picked a book at random to occupy himself and was actually almost done with it when he heard Alejandro call out for him.
The male didn’t attempt to help his husband find him, only laughing to himself as he heard Alejandro call out once again.
“Mi Amor, where are you?”
Rudy wanted to take pity on the man and just yell back but he found it way more fun to listen to his husband go in every room but the one he was in.
Honestly, Alejandro should’ve known that Rudy would lock himself away in the library. It was quite secluded and hidden from the rest of the house and the big window that sat behind Rudy gave the room a soft glow no matter the time of day.
“Where could he be?” Alejandro muttered to himself. He felt like he was losing it not knowing where his husband was.
“Mi Corazon!” Alejandro yells.
Rudy laughs finally giving in. He marks his spot in the book before getting up from the chair. He picks up the coffee cup, taking it with him to refill it. He walks into the kitchen, Alejandro standing with his back towards him unaware of his husband now in the room.
“Of all the things to lose, I can’t believe you lose your husband,” Rudy says, pouring what was left in the coffee pot into his cup.
Alejandro turns around, the male visibly perking up at seeing the other. If he was a dog, his tail would definitely be wagging right now. He walks over, pulling Rudy into his arms and burying his face in the spot between his neck and shoulder. “Dónde estabas?”
“En la biblioteca. I almost finished my book,” Rudy replied, combing his fingers through his hair.
Alejandro hums, almost sinking into his husband as Rudy continued to rub his back and mess with his hair.
Rudy looks down at him, chuckling at the dopy little look on his face. He maneuvers the male's face into his hands, cooing at his husband.
“Gran hombre dulce buscándome por todas partes esta mañana,” Rudy coos.
Alejandro whines, causing Rudy to chuckle. He places a kiss on Alejandro's nose, a smile replacing the frown on the other’s face.
“You want to cuddle on the couch?” Rudy asks.
“Sí, por favor,” Alejandro replies.
Rudy smiles, giving his husband a quick kiss before letting go of the male. He picks up his cup of coffee and takes Alejandro’s hand, pulling him along into the living room. The two settle on the couch, Rudy setting his cup on the side table. He lays down, Alejandro laying down on top of him despite being slightly bigger than his husband. Rudy pulls a blanket over them, turning on the TV and rubbing Alejandro’s back.
Alejandro melted into his husband's warmth, letting out a big sigh. Getting to cuddle his man after hours of what seemed like endless paperwork would forever be the highlight of Alejandro’s day. He snuggled in closer to Rudy, the male above him placing a kiss on his head.
“Te amo, mi amor,” Rudy whispers.
“Te amo también, mi rey,” Alejandro replies.
