Humanity disgusted him.
Humans are nothing more than bothersome creatures, creating wars with one another. And because of their petty wars, innocents often get caught in the middle and suffer.
Especially his people.
The world would be better off without humans.
At least that's what he thought, before he met you.
You were different than the ones he’s come across.
Instead of a look of disgust, or a look full of hatred, or even a look of fear. You had a warm smile and greeted him.
That warmth.
He was exploring, gathering intel on the city here so that he can expand parts of it for his kind when he stumbled upon you working in the library.
He examined you for a while, trying to see what you were planning. He knows this trick before because he’s encountered it so many times.
“Hey there!” You greeted, smiling at the omnic. He stopped in his tracks and stared at you. “If you need help with looking for something, just come to me so that I can help you.”
“Your assistance is not needed.” He states before walking away to the back.
You frowned. “Why is an omnic here?” Your coworker, Darby, sneered. “Maybe he wanted to read about our history?” “Yeah so that they can figure out our battle tactics from the wars and kill us! I don’t like this. See if you can kick it out.” “But he isn’t doing anything wrong? Also that’s rude, Darby. They’re people just like us.” “Whatever..” Darby walks back into the break room. You look back at Ramattra who was looking around, scoping out the place.
He feels your gaze and turns to face you. You flushed in embarrassment from being caught staring and quickly looked away and attended back to your duties.
He approached you.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to stare at you. That was rude of me.” “You are forgiven. What is your name?” “(Y/N).” “(Y/N), are you aware that your friend was speaking so rudely of me?”
You cringed. “Not my friend. He’s my coworker. I’m sorry about that. I am planning to report him to my manager about discrimination.”
That.. wasn’t the response he expected.
“Hm.” “Out of curiosity, is there something you need help with outside of the library? I’m only asking since it looks like you’re looking for something?” “I am merely observing. I have never been here so I wanted to see what this city has.” “Oh so you're a tourist?” “You could say that. Thank you for your help.” Ramattra says before taking his leave.
“I hope to see you around!” You blurt.
“You will.” Ramattra chuckles before leaving.
As he exits the building, you facepalmed at yourself. ‘Why did I just blurt that out! I sounded like a creep!’
