Chapter Text
What happens when the mind loses control? When the brain does not function properly, and your life is out of control. The brain alters our bodies; our thoughts are distorted, our emotions are unregulated, and our behaviors are altered. One of the most perplexing and exhausting phenomena as a human being is living and surviving with these changes. The toll that it physically, mentally, and emotionally takes on the individuals as well as friends and family, often too much to bear.
The moment her feet left the rooftop ledge, relief washed over her.
Everything slowed down, silence surrounding her, her body relaxing as peace washes over her.
This is possibly the clearest her mind has ever been leading up to this moment. But, as she's falling from 60 feet in the air, her body doesn't panic, her fight or flight never kicks in, there's just nothing.
This isn't how she thought her life would end, she thought that she would die in a fire saving someone or from old age beside her wife.
Carina, her loving wife, who didn't deserve the hurt and pain that she was putting her through. She deserves to be happy, and she's sure she'll find that one day.
She's broken, and no amount of glue can stick the pieces back together or at least that's what she thought.
