Lanfear holds the pause, gazing deeply into Moiraine’s dark eyes. “How are you so sure that I won’t break you?”
Lanfear merely grazes the one power and watches Moiraine’s body press against the brick once more, this time rigid, careful not to cause pain. She doesn’t need the pesky warder interrupting the two of them, that would certainly ruin their … chat. Lanfear cups Moiraine’s neck with one hand, gently pressing a thumb up under the short woman’s chin so that Moiraine has no choice but to look back into her own eyes.
“You won’t.” Moiraine says.
