Learned how to recognize them for what they are and how to best respond to those patterns, even when it's not something that has ever come naturally to her.So when Mira and Zoey start whispering quietly to each other in between sparring sessions Rumi sees it happen. Watches as they toss each other playful grins and pass notes between them like she's watched other teenagers do in the movies. Observes that there is a pattern of closeness between Mira and Zoey that exists entirely outside of Rumi.
