FATE/Interloper

-First Ascension: Grand Order-

Flame Contaminated City: Fuyuki

Human Foundation Level: C

'My head hurts…' That is my first conscious thought.

I open my eyes and the first thing that greets me is a reddish sky... and a throbbing headache. As my eyes adjust, the first thing I see is the orange hue in the sky along with smoke. I try to move but my body feels like it is encased in cement. Nevertheless I manage to pick myself up as I get a look at my surroundings.

It looked like I was in some sort of settlement, but it has nearly eradicated. Flames cover the structures in a blanket of red, yet there was something… off. They didn't spread, opting to let the buildings slowly decay instead of burning it all to the ground.

But there was also something else. In the air I breathed, in the earth I stood. I could feel the energy around me, twisted and corrupted, as if it was trying to be something it was not.

It was wrong.

Wrong.

Wrong!

WRONG!

There was too much going here, too many questions. What is this place!? Why did I wake up here!? Where was here!? And more importantly… Who am I?

I couldn't remember anything, not even my own name. Beyond waking up, I had no memory of anything prior. However, I also knew I won't find out anything by simply standing in place and decided to venture into this seemingly broken place for any source of information.

Taking the first step was difficult. There is a rigidness to my legs every time they move before they back into the ruined ground with an audible thud. I did not know how long I had been unconscious in that rubble, but it may have been a long time.

I did not know how long I'd wondered, just aimlessly passing through the ruins of civilization. Time seems to be stagnant here; frozen even. Yet, at the same time slowly unravelling the longer it remains as is.

I did not recognize any of the buildings here, there is only destruction as far as I can see. There are no signs of any living creature that survived whatever calamity befell this city. All there is crackling sounds of fire and the high-rush of wind funneling its destructive nature.

"Kya!" Suddenly, something breaks the dreary tranquility of the world. A new sound. Different, high-pitched; totally distinct from ambient background.

[Go look]

Without thinking, I rush towards the source and find someone is being chased by a group of skeletons. It was different, somewhat like me but not; female. She has white hair dropping by her shoulders which braided on the side and has amber-colored eyes. She is wearing what looks like a black jacket mixed with an orange vest and a white dress underneath that hid her figure well as well as a brown pantyhose and black heels.

I was mesmerized. Her clean and unnatural appearance made her stand out from this hellish world and her beautiful eyes a beacon of change, but this brightness is overshadowed by the overwhelming FEAR she is under.

She keeps running until she suddenly trips on a small stone as she glances back to the horde. She stands back up as she holds out her hand in figure-gun position towards the horde. As she did, a magic circle appeared and started firing dark red bullets that hit the skeleton and turned it into dust. As soon as that happens, all the skeletons begin to rush towards her while she can only shoot them one by one.

"Why do these kinds of things always happen to me?" she shouted.

I watch as the girl tries to fight off the skeletons, yet whatever attack she's using, it was clear that she didn't have the necessary output to take them all down.

[Help her]

I jolt as I look for the source of the voice. I had originally dismissed it as just wayward thoughts, but now it seems that's not the case.

[You must not let her die]

'Who are you?' I ask the voice but receive no answer.

One of the skeletons climbs above a lamppost and jumps down to attack her. In retaliation, she tries to blast it but it dodges the attack as it comes close.

Scared that she will die here, she began to brace the attack as she whimpered. "Help me, Lev..."

However, death never came as something punches the skeleton in the skull, shattering it to pieces.

"!?" The girl gasps as she sees a young man wearing all black standing in front of her, his large back serving as a wall between herself and the monsters.

"Wh-who are you!?" The scared girl asks the boy but he doesn't seem to respond.

I feel a heat rising in my chest as I look at all of these monsters in front of me but it wasn't excitement or anxiety. It was rising by the second, building pressure the longer I stood still without giving it release.

[It wants to be used. Summon it, mold it, name it. You have the power to make anything into reality]

His eyes glow golden as an ethereal aura encases his entire body.

"!" The white-haired girl watches in shock and slight fear. The skeletons all instinctively back away from this creature.

"I think, therefore I am." The words roll out of his tongue on instinct, like a prayer.

Freak killer

A massive pistol manifests in my hand. It is silver with a golden ejector on the right side. The words "Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull" are engraved on it.

[Noble Phantasm deployed. Type: Anti-Unit]

I don't have time to marvel as I take aim at the skeletons, "begone." I pull the trigger and the gun fires. The moment the bullet leaves the barrel it quickly makes contact with the skeleton in the front, shattering its body into hundreds of pieces. But it doesn't stop as the bullet continues travelling forward, destroying all of the skeletons behind it.

The girl watches with wide eyes as the boy keeps shooting the skeletons with perfect precision and accuracy, with the enemies having no way of defending themselves until there's none left.

"?" My mind feels lightheaded as my vision blurs for a brief moment. My senses felt off - anchored - whilst a euphoric sensation rises from my feet and spreads across my body.

I turn around to the young woman staring at me with apprehension and unease.

Olga Marie Animusphere

Role: Master Candidate, Lord of the Department of Astromancy, Director of Chaldea Security Organization

Gender: Female

Species: Human, Magus

Magecraft: Astromancy, Alchemy

Number of Magic Circuits: 15

Number of Magic Crest: 55

Circuit Quantity: E-

Circuit Quality: EX

Master Compatibility: 2%

Background: The Head of the Animusphere Family and the current director of Chaldea after the death of the previous director Marisbury Animusphere in 2012. She is a person who believes it is the Animusphere's pride to serve the very best under any circumstances, regardless of trouble or accident. She has a tendency to fire staff on the spot for accidents that occur, if staff fail to meet her orders, or if she just doesn't like you. She doesn't see herself capable of fulfilling Marisbury's role as director and believes that her inability to become a Master makes her an even greater failure. Additionally, the lack of praise or acknowledgement of her efforts by anybody has convinced her that everyone she knows hates her such that even the most innocent of comments directed at her take on the worst possible interpretations in her mind and not know how she could ever prove her worth as director and Lord, giving her a crippling negative mindset that is expressed as haughty demeanor around others. She relies heavily on Professor Lev Lainur as an emotional clutch. She died in the explosion, but her soul and conscious was forcibly thrown into the Singularity via Rayshift giving her "life" as long as the Singularity exists.

'Magus…' The word echoes in my mind. It sounds familiar but I can't place where I heard it.

"H-Hey!" I look down at Olga. "Aren't you gonna help me stand up!?"

I tilt my head at the woman's demand. Her background describes her arrogance and pride, yet not too long ago she was fearing for her life.

Nevertheless, I raise my right hand and extend it out to her which she quickly grabs with much vigor as I pull her back up.

Olga dusts off her dress. "Now then." Her amber eyes bore into me as her body language took an authoritative stance. "Who are you? You are not part of Team A, or Team B. You are clearly not even a member of Chaldea given your outfit. Where did you come from? Are you a Magus? What was that magecraft you used to destroy those skeletons? Are you a denizen of this Singularity?" But when I fail to speak her face morphs into anger. "Well!? I know you can speak, so speak!"

In truth, I did not know how to answer any of her questions. I didn't know who I was or where I came from. I didn't know what this "Team A and B" group she was talking about and I wasn't a member of Chaldea, at least I didn't believe I was. I did not know what "magecraft" is but I felt that wasn't what I used and while I did not know what a "Singularity" is I don't believe I am a part of it.

"H-Hey! Quit staring at me like that you creep!" I blink as I notice Olga's uneasiness while still attempting to project her authority. She is already defaulting to her defense mechanism in order to hide her worry.

"Director Olga-Marie!"

The two of us turn to see two new figures running towards us. The first one is a young woman with short lilac hair, lavender eyes and fair skin. Her figure is fairly athletic that would rile other women with jealousy. She is wearing an outfit that leaves very little to the imagination: a skin-tight black and purple armor that resembles an extremely short mini-dress that exposes her butt, emphasizes her breasts, and reveals her panties. There is a hole that exposes her stomach area. She also wears black gauntlets and boots, a garter on her right thigh, and a large cross-shaped shield.

Far behind her is a girl slightly shorter than the other. She has shoulder-length red hair tied in a side-ponytail on the left side with a usually yellow hair band and a cowlick, and light orange eyes. She is wearing some kind of uniform consisting of a white jacket with belts strapped on that emphasizes her figure and bust along with a black skirt and pantyhose and white boots. On her shoulder is some kind of white squirrel-like creature - a little animal - with a white scarf tied around it.

After moving to the city and looking for work, she was approached by an old man holding a recruitment flyer for Chaldea and applied on a whim, where upon she was approached by Chaldean officials, awakening her dormant Magic Circuits and was shipped to Chaldea where she underwent a Spiritron Dive of an introductory simulated battle and didn't properly wake up, where she was found on the floor by Mah Kyrielight and Fou. They were found by Lev Lainur and directed them to Director Olga Marie Animusphere's orientation speech only to fall asleep while on the front row, angering the Director and kicking her out of the room. In their personal room, they met Doctor Romani Archaman, who used the unassigned room to slack off after having also been thrown out by the Director. When an explosion erupted in the Command Room, she followed Romani to help potential survivors. She finds Mash trapped in the rubble, but couldn't pull her out of it as the emergency bulkhead closed behind her, leaving the two trapped. She takes Mash's hand and comforts her as she is dying in spite of the growing fear surrounding them, upon which the two are rayshifted to Singularity F, ironically saving their lives.

Fuo

True Name: Cath Palug

Role: Beast IV

Logos: Comparison

Background: A Beast of Calamity who presides over the Logos of "Comparison", the act of envying others' strength and regretting one's own weaknesses. He who bears the characteristic of "ever exceeding the strength of an opponent" grows into maturation by the conflict that arises amongst Men, feeding upon their Envies and Regrets. Fuo was born of the fall of Camelot, tied to the death of the Once and Future King at the hands of his only son. Originally a Beast of the Planet that became Merlin's familiar, Cath Palug was at some point subsequent to Merlin's sealing driven from the Isle of Avalon, where he came to reside in the Chaldea Security Organization, where he took a liking to Mash Kyrielight and Ritsuka Fujimaru.

'Beast.' The word that carries dread and evil just by even uttering it. '... dangerous.'

"Fou?" Fou tilts his head cutely as the mysterious creature stares at him.

"Mash?" Olga uttered bewilderedly, surprised that someone from Team A had Rayshifted with her.

Ritsuka finally caught up as she shouted "Are you all right?" as she maneuvered herself through the debris as she was surprised about who it was.

"Director?" She asks in bewilderment which snaps her out of stupor.

"You!" She exclaims in surprise to see the civilian she kicked out came through the Rayshift with her.

Mash sees the destroyed remains of the skeletons. "Elimination of hotels confirmed. It looks like you didn't need us after all, director."

"Thank you but… I wasn't the one who defeated them." Olga glances at my direction prompting the others to do the same.

Mash bows. "Thank you for saving the director. We are in your debt."

"... you're welcome." I nod.

"A-ha! So you CAN talk!" Olga triumphantly exclaims.

"I could always talk. But your questions were difficult to answer." I retorted, causing Olga to freeze.

"What? All I asked you were simple common questions! Are you saying you couldn't answer any of them!?" Olga shouts. "What? Do you have some kind of amnesia or something?" However, his silence made her realize she was on the mark. "Oh."

"You don't remember anything?" Ritsuka asks and I shake my head. "I'm so sorry."

"I was hoping to find information about my existence." I look at the blazing inferno in the background. "But there is nothing. This fire, or something that gives it the form of fire, makes investigation null as nothing survives its influence. I was content with wandering this ruined world until I heard her screen."

"Which prompted you to save her." Ritsuka surmises.

"It was for the sake of my own gain." I bluntly said, pointing out that I saved her out of necessity instead of a want.

"Well, my name is Fujimaru Ritsuka. Thanks for saving director Olga!" The creature leans on her cheek. "And this little guy is Fou."

"Fou." Fou barks and gives me a wave with his paw.

"I'm Mash kyrielight, I'm a member of Chaldea. My Class name is Shielder and Fujimaru Ritsuka is my Master." Mash said.

I glance at Olga. "I'm Olga Marie Animusphere, the director of the Chaldea Security Organization." But then adds. "You better be grateful to have run into someone as important as me!"

I nod. "It's nice to meet you all."

Now that introductions are done and over with." She turns her attention to the two girls. "Can either of you explain to me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?"

"This is Singularity F. Fuyuki 2004." Mash answers before her expression turns anxious. "Chief. It may be hard to believe, but I..."

"You're a Demi-Servant, right? I can tell just by looking at you." Olga scolded her. "What I want to know is why it waited until now to awaken."

"I'm sure you know that Chaldea prepared a Servant beforehand in order to resolve the investigation of Singularity F." Mash explained. "Right before I died, he offered me a contract. In exchange for giving me the abilities of a Heroic Spirit and Noble Phantasm, he wanted me to eliminate the cause of the Singularity. So I merged with the Servant to become a Demi-Servant."

"Then this substitute commoner has become your Master." Olga glances at Ritsuka who was not understanding the situation.

"Master?" Ritsuka said. "I'm a Master? But..." She reaches her arm out but realizes that there're now red markings on her right hand.

"Those Command Seals prove it." Olga said before adding. "Why!? Why the hell did you become her Master?!

"Eh?" Looking at an angry Olga Marie, Ritsuka looks surprised.

"Why did you agree to her demands!?" Olga Marie yells, she looks like she is about to hit the poor girl. "Do you at least understand what you now doomed yourself to!?"

"No, chief, you got it wrong!" The carrier of the shield tries to defend her. "I forced senpai to become my Master — she tried to dissuade me!"

"What did you say?" Olga Marie asked, looking angry.

"I'll explain what happened. That way we can understand each other's situation better." Mash said. She goes on to explain what happened after the explosion, how Ritsuka found her nearly crushed under rubble and tried to save her, then the security protocols activated locking them inside. They were about to die but then they were both dragged into a Rayshift and were transported to this place.

Olga Marie then explains things from her perspective, how one moment she was giving a lecture before being temporarily blinded by a bright flash and the next thing she knew she was here, trying to stay alive.

"...and that's what happened. I have no idea how I got here, all I want right now is to get out of here." Olga Marie then looks at me.

"We haven't found any other Master candidate who shifted with us. You two are the only humans we've run into." Mash states. "But that gives me hope. If you're here, then that means there must be other candidates who got teleported here."

"There's no one besides us." Olga Maria bluntly states, quickly deflating Mashu's hopes. "I hate to admit it, but I know why we were shifted to Fuyuki."

Mashu's eyes widened. "So you know why we survived?"

"All of us share a common denominator. Neither me, you, nor Ritsuka were actually inside the Coffins. Though Rayshifting without a Coffin isn't impossible, the chances of succeeding are very low." Olga Marie explains. "The Coffins have breakers. When the power is over 95%, the power's cut off. So they never actually Rayshifted. We're the only ones here."

"But what about him?" Ritsuka points to me. "You said he wasn't in the Command Center."

"It doesn't matter. He's here now so he might as well be useful to us." With a sigh, Olga Marie shakes her head. "Fujimura Ritsuka, since it's an emergency I'll approve of your contract with Mash. From here on out, both of you will be under my command! And my first order is the arrangement of a base camp. We need to establish contact with headquarters and to do that we need to search for a Leyline Terminal, a place where magical energy converges."

"About that…" After these few words Mashu glances at Ritsuka, who just shrugs.

"What?" Olga Marie asks.

"The leyline…"

"You're standing on it." I finished.

"Huh?" Uncomprehendingly she responded. "I… I knew that. I knew that of course!"

A large, stylized teardrop-shaped bead of sweat appears on the girls' foreheads as the director regains her composure.

"Mash, place your shield on the ground. I'm going to set up a summoning circle, with your Noble Phantasm as a catalyst." Olga orders.

"Senpai?" Mash turned to Ritsuka, to which she nodded. "Okay…"

[Connection stabilized. Now we should be able to converse more easily]

'Who are you?' I ask.

[My designation, based on elementary data, is ORIGIN. I exist as the Central Control of information and handle all analytical process, power output and management as well as your guide. Your puppet body appears to have acclimated to the flow of mana you are currently outputting. Eventually, you should feel fine]

'Puppet body...?' I said in confusion as Olga finished the last touches to the circle.

[An artificial type of familiar created by a certain Magus known as Puppet Masters. The more refined the creation, the stronger it is. Puppets can also be used as vessels to house souls in case their original body is dying]

This caught him off guard. Artificial body? What happened to his real body?

[That I don't know. What I do know is that the puppet you inhabit is made from materials not found on this planet, making it more durable and more powerful than anything a modern-day Puppet Master can create. It is also edged top to bottom with a network of intricate seals designed to limit our power. There also seems to be a spare body in a hammer that you can summon in case you need it]

My brow folds slightly as Mash places her shield on the ground. It instantly lights up, and a projection of a man with orange hair tied to a ponytail, green eyes, and wears a green uniform along with a white coat.

"Hello, Hello? Okay, connection established!" Rang out a voice from the drawn circle in a couple of seconds.

"Romani!?" The shout of the chief spreads throughout the area. "Why are you running the show, Romani!? What about Lev!? Where's Lev!? Put Lev on now!"

"Wahhhhhhh!" Romani screams out. "C-Chief, you're alive!? And unharmed!? But you were in the center of that explosion!"

"?" I said.

"What the hell does that mean!? Where's Lev? What's the head medic doing in charge!?" Olga Marie frantically demands.

"Believe me, I'm fully aware I'm not cut out for this job but there's nobody else left." Romani admits. "Including me, less than 20 people from all of Chaldea survived. Doctor Lev was supervising from the Command Room. There's no way he could have survived the blast."

"N-No…" Olga Marie's eyes fill with tears. "Lev, he - no wait, forget that, wait… please wait." The director composes herself and wipes her tears. "Less than 20 survivors? What about the Master candidates, the Coffins?"

Romani sighs. "...47, all in critical condition and we're short on medical supplies." He states somberly. "We might be able to save a few, but all of them might be-"

"Don't be ridiculous!" Olga Marie yells. "Cryopreserve them immediately! Think about reviving them later. Your top priority is to make sure they don't die!"

"I forgot the Coffins had those functions! I'll get to it right away!" Romani states.

"But chief, cryopreservation without prior consent is a crime." Mashu warns but then a smile forms on her face. "Yet you made the decision right away. You put human lives ahead of your own reputation as a director."

"Don't be stupid! As long as they're not dead, I can explain myself later! Why else would I give that order!? Besides, I wouldn't be able to handle the fact that I let 47 people die on my watch!" Olga Marie's answer was quick and certain. "If only Lev was here…"

"Chaldea has lost 80% of its functionality. There's only so much the remaining staff can do." Romani continues with his report. "I'm shifting available manpower to Rayshift repairs, and maintaining CHALDEAS and SHEBA. As soon as external communications are back up, we'll request supplies and start rebuilding Chaldea."

"That's fine. I would have done the same if I were there." Olga Marie said, though a bit disheartened.

After a moment of silence, Roman tried to say it as gently as possible. "Chief, we will build everything back and pull you out of this. Don't worry..."

"Do not reassure me as if I am hysterical, of course we will rebuild everything!" On the contrary of what is implied, the girl shouted into the air. "Romani Archaman, as much as I don't like this, I am putting you in charge of Chaldea until I return. Make the Rayshift repairs your top priority. We'll be investigating this town: the Singularity F!"

Romani's eyes widened. "Wait, wait, wait, you want to venture into ground zero? Since when did you become so brave?"

"Seriously, you just don't know when to shut up." Olga Marie grumbles. "I'd like nothing more than to go back now, but it'll be some time until you finish the Rayshift repairs. Besides, this town only contains low-level monsters, with Mashu as a Demi-Servant we'll be safe." She gives the doctor a stern look. "I'll be looking into Singularity F with Ritsuka and Mash Kyrielight as investigators. Our goal is to find the cause of this Singularity and the cause of humanity's abnormal disappearance."

"Roger that. Good luck on your end, director." With that, Romani disconnects.

"Shouldn't we just wait until rescue arrives? I thought that's what you wanted." Ritsuka points out.

"I can't afford to do that. After we return to Chaldea, who knows how long it'll take to select another team." Olga Marie begins to bite her nail. "A month wouldn't be enough to gather the personnel or the funds, the Mage Association will chew me out for sure. I could even lose my leadership of Chaldea to them. If that happens, I'll be toast. I can't go back empty-handed. I need something that will shut them up!"

[This is part where you comfort the girl]

'Comfort.' I reach out and grab her shoulder. "It's going to be okay, director."

"Not you too. I already said I wasn't hysterical!" Olga yelled.

"Director. I think we should get moving. The longer we stay in one place, the higher the chance of an enemy attack." Mash states.

"Yes, you're right Mash." Olga agrees but then realizes something. ""By the way, I just realized I never got your name. Wait, do you even have a name?"

I shake my head.

"Why don't we give him a name instead?" Ritsuka suggests.

"He's not a pet, senpai." Mash scolds her.

"I know that! But, it's better than calling him you or hey all the time." Ritsuka ponders for a moment. "How about… Frank! Yeah!"

I tilt my head at the name while the others look at Ritsuka like she grew a second head.

"That has to be the dumbest thing you've ever said. You didn't even give the idea any clear thought!" Olga exclaims.

"So, does this mean you have a name in mind?" Ritsuka asks which makes Olga falter as she hasn't given it any mind.

"Frank…" I test out the name. "It will do."

"See? He likes it." Ritsuka triumphantly exclaims. "It's nice to meet you, Frank-kun!"

I hum and nod which makes Ritsuka's smile brighter.

"Now let's solve the cause of this twisted history." Olga says and the investigation into the Singularity begins.

Noble Phantasms used:

Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull Auto (C) Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm

Also referred to as simply the Casull, it is a very powerful handgun that fires custom-made explosive .454 Casull rounds, with the steel bullets bearing a core made from the melted silver Christian cross from Manchester Cathedral. They are used in a six round single-stack magazine.

The Casull is a semi-automatic magnum pistol, based on two pre-WW1 handgun designs by Colt: the M1903 and M1905 pistols (the early versions of the M1911). The gun weighs approximately 6 kg unloaded and has a magazine capacity of six .454 Casull cartridges. Its appearance is also similar to the AMT Automag III.

When paired together with the Jackal, the wielder is capable of dealing massive damage to a large horde of enemies, leaving them either dead or lethally wounded so that they'll suffer slowly as they die; a callout to the original owner's extreme cruelty as they preferred seeing their opponents completely disabled and humiliated before putting them out of their misery.

The Fuyuki Singularity is the first Singularity detected by Chaldea during the Human Order Incineration Incident in Fate/Grand Order. Codenamed Singularity F, it is located in A.D. 2004.

Singularity is an unobservable region that does not exist within Chaldea's recorded history. It's as if a hole has opened up within the timeline, a hole that is separate from the regular temporal axis.

Certain Singularities have their own individual circumstances and mechanisms, however the Goetia-style Singularities involved in the Human Order Incineration Incident follow a general pattern and possess common characteristics. They are sustained by a Goetia-manufactured Holy Grail, which is given to a certain individual within a key historical time period, typically someone who will use it to cause major disruption to history and destabilize the Human Order Foundations; with the Quantum Time-Locks destroyed, the Greater History of Man falls apart and the future is reduced to a mass of arbitrary possibilities. When this is insufficient, a Demon God host may further manipulate individuals and events in order to achieve this end or even intervene by using the Grail itself. Left unchecked, the era in which the Singularity manifests in will be destroyed completely under the strain of the impossible events that the Singularity forces into existence, causing the end of history itself.

The power of the Grails and the circumstances within the Singularities allow for the summoning of Servants and their continued existence in the world, even without a Master. Various Servants are summoned to the era under these conditions without individuals performing a summoning ceremony. The Servants often play a key role in bringing about the disruption to history, as well as resolving it. It is theorized that these Master-less servants are summoned by the Grail itself as a reaction to its abuse- in effect, it acts as a distorted Holy Grail War in which the Grail already has an owner.

The seven primary Singularities involved in the Human Order Incineration Incident have a Human Order Foundation Value associated with them.

The emergence of large Singularities causes disturbances and fluctuations in time which spread out through history like a wave, and can cause other, smaller Singularities to emerge at other points in time. Left unattended to, these Singularities can grow and become a threat in their own right. Sometimes these small Singularities disappear on their own, leaving behind Holy Grails formed from the condensed magical energy of the Singularity.

When the Grail empowering a Singularity is recovered or eliminated and the threats it produced are neutralized, the timeline will begin to restore itself and the Singularity will eventually disperse. However, lingering temporal anomalies such as the presence of Phantasmal Species can compromise the recovery process and even run the risk of the Singularity reconstituting itself.

There are also existences known as Mobile Singularities which cause a similar distortion, though usually on a smaller scale. These include Sliders such as the female Miyamoto Musashi.

Because of humanity's destruction in 2015, due to the collapse of the Human Order Foundation, Chaldea is forced to travel to Singularities in the past in order to fix the irregularities of history caused by various Holy Grails. The 'Grand Order' is a "name for those who would rise up against human history for the sake of humanity, and combat fate itself."

A Designer Baby is a child created with artificially modified DNA. With this it is possible even for parents who have completely normal genetics to bear a child who possesses magic circuits. They are similar to a homunculus. Shinji Matou, Julius B. Harwey and Mash Kyrielight are all designer babies.

The Simulated Global Environment Model "CHALDEAS" was completed in 1990 A.D. Utilizing the soul of the World as a foundation and basis, the system manifests in miniature a perfectly accurate replica of the planetary body of Earth, permitting a representation of the World's status both in past and future eras. However, detailed observation of specific time-space locales is impossible without the assistance of SHEBA.

Although it was already built in 1990, the reality is that CHALDEAS was incomplete. It was built and established as a model of the Earth to convince the sponsors, but it was far from its original function. Although the theory is complete, CHALDEAS lacked the crucial "fuel" for operation. In order to make CHALDEAS spin, they need the output of a power plant that is able to supply an entire country for about half a year. Even with the combination of an oil platform Seraphix and a French nuclear reactor weren't able to keep it running.

It is a body of high density Spiritrons and a territory of another dimension. It is the same as the sun and black hole. If it is touched directly by humans, they will be decomposed to the molecular level and disappear.

The Near-Future Observation Lens "SHEBA" was invented by Lev Lainur and was completed in 1999 A.D.

SHEBA is a mechanism designed to permit the detailed observation of information represented within CHALDEAS' planetary projection, similar in concept to an environmental observation satellite placed in Earth orbit. In lieu of a closed-circuit camera system, SHEBA also serves as an integral component to Chaldeas' security, outputting to monitors any occurrences within the research facility's environs in real-time. The system, however, is ultimately accurate only for the observation of the Common Era; for eras further in the past, accuracy rapidly declines, and mana and electricity demands climb to unmanageable levels. As of the collapse of the Human Order Foundation, the future formerly observed by SHEBA vanished, and there appeared an "unobservable locale"; the Fuyuki City of 2004 A.D, also known as "Singularity F".

Author Notes

EDIT: 1/12/26

With Fate Grand Order's story now coming to a close, I figured I would edit this story based on the new lore that has been dropped. This is probably the fourth time I've edited this but I don't care. I want this story to shine, and if it means having to polish it over and over I'll gladly do so!

It'll likely be heavy edits on the first 5 chapters while light ones the Orlean chapters. If you don't like 'em, that's on you.

Peace~
