   Summary

   Overmind slapped Affect’s cheek with the back of his hand, making him back up in fear. The silent dripping of coffee hitting the floor resonated in the room as a moment of silence between the two settled.

   Affect hesitantly glanced behind the doctor, at the coffee that was spilled all over the notes and had ruined the contents of the petri dish. He looked back up at him, hands and voice shaking, “I’m sorry- I should’ve been more careful..”
