Summary
Wednesday holds back a smile. She has found herself doing that a lot more recently. In fact, it’s something she had never had to do in the past. Wednesday sees nothing wrong with joy or smiling. In fact, she finds joy in many things! Gravedigging, causing chaos alongside her Uncle Fester, tormenting Pugsley, taxidermy, and spiders. And now… her colorful roommate. It’s new for her. She’s never had a best friend. She’s never known someone as well as she knows Enid. She’s almost like family. Almost. Because Wednesday’s family could never make her feel the way Enid does. Bats. Bats flying throughout her stomach (she refuses to call them butterflies). Everytime Enid’s eyes meet hers she feels bats swarming in the depths of her stomach. It feels almost as if she might throw up. Her heart races the same way it did when she the first time she used a guillotine. “Friendship is something special, I suppose,” she thinks to herself.
