Harry knew tonight was going to be horrible from the beginning. He tried his best to keep Y/N from these wolves he called his friends, but she insisted. She said it would be good for her to get to know his friends, and since he had spent an entire month keeping her all to himself, he couldn’t tell her no. Looking at how the evening was going, however, he realized he should’ve tried harder to convince her.
He recalled the conversation that started it all, and it happened right here at Tain’s bar, during one of their rare hangouts when all of them could coordinate their schedules for an hour. They had been badgering him since the moment he told them he had a girlfriend to introduce her to them, but he hadn’t budged one bit.
“Come on, Harry. Show her to us already,” Tain groveled, groaning at his stoic friend who pointedly ignored him as he sipped his tea.
“You know, Tain, I’m starting to think Harry’s lying to us,” Malong challenged, rubbing his chin as he raised an eyebrow at Harry. “I mean, Harry has a girlfriend? An actual girl that can handle him? I don’t believe it.”
“She’s real. I can promise you,” Harry said, not the least bit taken by Malong’s retort.
“Well then, she has to be a unicorn,” Malong concluded, nodding his head like he had just solved the world’s greatest mystery. “Only a unicorn would be able to handle this horse.”
“For real, though, since you’ve successfully captured one,” Tain added with a grin. “Make sure to feed it and keep it alive. The rest of mankind needs to study it and work on finding how to somehow replicate that.”
“She’s not a bioengineered species,” Harry countered through clench teeth.
“Then bring her here one of these days and prove us wrong then,” Malong replied, shrugging. “All we’ve heard are stories and photographs. All of these can be fabricated in this day and age. In this generation, it’s proof or it never happened.”
He thought his friends were being so ridiculous that he had told Y/N what happened. He hadn’t expected her to agree to the idea and pretty much twisted his arm to set the date. Tain offered up his bar as the location and Malong basically invited everyone they knew to meet her. Now she was being surrounded, and although at first, he felt immense pride at how she won everyone over so effortlessly, he was starting to feel weird about these guys crowding around her. Particularly the one standing in front of her now.
He had been watching his girl and Teo talk for about 5 minutes now, and he was not liking how close Teo was standing next to her. He seemed to be laying on the charm too thick, too, enough to make Harry’s eye start twitching.
I don’t like the way he’s looking at you
I’m starting to think you want him too
Am I crazy? Have I lost ya?
Even though I know you love me, can’t help it
Why is she not asking him to step back? Harry thought, his brows furrowing as he watched Y/N and Teo interact. They were standing unreasonably close (in Harry’s standards, anyway) and the longer they talked to each other and her not being by his side where she belongs, the more Harry feels his brain liquifying.
He watched as Y/N leaned up close to Teo’s face and Harry lost it, shattering the glass of scotch he was holding in his hand into pieces and sending Tain into a spiral.
“WHAT THE HELL, MAN?! NOT ANOTHER CRYSTAL!” Tain cried, hurrying over to the scene of the crime armed with a broom and a dustpan. Harry paid him no attention and stood up with every intention of climbing over the goddamn bar counter and yanking Teo away from his girl. His face was glowing red from rage, but he froze when he noticed Y/N pick reach up to Teo’s hair and pulled it fast, holding something small in her fingers with a smile.
I turn my chin music up
And I’m puffing my chest
I’m getting red in the face
You can call me obsessed
It’s not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect
It’s my right to be hellish
I still get jealous*
Lint. She picked off lint from Teo’s head. Lord Almighty, she was going to be the death of him, Harry thought, letting out a long breath he hadn’t noticed he’d been holding all this time.
’Cause you’re too sexy, beautiful
And everybody wants a taste
That’s why
I still get jealous
Y/N skipped over to Harry with a smile, fully unaware of the tornado of emotions she had caused him within the hour. She tilted her head up to him as he looked down at her with exasperation, his mouth agape at how unbelievably clueless his woman was. Does she seriously not realize how many of the guys in this bar are looking at her with longing right now? It was insane! Harry thought.
“I should’ve registered for a gun,” Harry mumbled miserably, and Y/N frowned. She opened her mouth to ask what he meant when her phone started beeping with multiple notifications. She pulled her phone out and grinned happily. Harry raised an eyebrow and sneaked a glance over her head at what she was being so giddy about. His eyes zeroed in a tastefully taken picture of her in a one-piece swimsuit (He blames Piu-Piu for the photo, that damn bird!) and the quickly climbing amount of hearts underneath. “What the hell is that?”
“Hmm? Oh! Your friends followed me on Instagram! See? They liked my post of when we went swimming at the hotel!” she said, handing him her phone.
“That’s a lot of skin to be showing online, don’t you think?” he protested with a huff. “Why did you post that picture?”
“It’s a swimsuit, Harry. Your sister gave me a new line of swim wear and said it was the rage this season. I’m not showing a lot of skin, it’s just a regular amount when you’re going to the beach,” she pointed out, looking at him weirdly. “Why are you being so uptight all of a sudden?”
I wish you didn’t have to post it all
I wish you’d save a little bit just for me
Protective or possessive? Yeah
Call it passive or aggressive
Harry was already way over his head that Y/N’s question didn’t even register to him. He had half a mind to start a riot in the bar because his fucking friends were busy ogling his girlfriend’s body. And he wished Piu-Piu had a physical body so he could throttle the bird with a chokehold for taking such a scandalous picture without his knowledge and allowing his girlfriend to post it for all the world to see.
I turn my chin music up
And I’m puffing my chest
I’m getting red in the face
You can call me obsessed
It’s not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect

He sulked the entire drive home, unwilling to open his mouth when Y/N asked him why he was acting like such a child. Why didn’t she get it? Does she seriously have no idea how attractive she is? She was a duckling waddling through a sea of sharks circling and biding their time so they can eat her…, he thought darkly.
We’re the only ones invited
I said there’s no one else for you
‘Cause you know I get excited, yeah
When you get jealous too
They finally arrived back to their hotel room and Harry yanked his tie, muttering that he was going to shower first. He didn’t bother to wait for Y/N’s response even though he knew she usually wanted to shower first before he did. He needed some time to clear his head because he did not want to get in a row with her over how jealous he was acting. Jealousy was a stupid emotion, but it was eating at him so badly, he was about to burst.
I turn my chin music up
And I’m puffing my chest
I’m getting red in the face
You can call me obsessed
It’s not your fault that they hover
I mean no disrespect
It’s my right to be hellish

He got out of the shower with a towel loosely wrapped around his hips and using another to dry his head. He had managed to clear his head and was about to open his mouth to apologize for his behavior when Y/N’s seductively called his name.
“What took you so long, dear?” she asked, and he raised his head up to look at her, only for his jaw to fall to the floor. His girlfriend was sitting at the edge of the bed, wearing nothing but the tie he was wearing earlier and stilettos. She had her leg crossed over the other and her hands to her sides, smiling at him with one eyebrow raised.
’Cause you’re too sexy, beautiful
And everybody wants a taste
That’s why
I still get jealous
“Like what you see?” she asked teasingly, and it took every fiber of his being not to tackle her to the bed and have his way with her. He pulled his jaw up and tried to act like he wasn’t as shaken up as he really was and shrugged.
“What are you doing?” he asked, trying his best to sound casual. She shrugged, swinging his tie around.
“Well, you seemed really sad that I didn’t pay much attention to you at the party, so I wanted to make up for it,” she replied, smiling seductively at him. “Is it working?”
“It might. You going to ask Piu-Piu to take a picture of this too or what?” he asked, and he gaped at her audacity as she giggled and shook her head.
“Oh, Mr. Choi. Those were nothing. You know that I’m all yours,” she said.
All yours. She was his. That was all she needed to say.
He crossed over to her and tilted her chin up, his bravado coming back as he smirked down at her, brushing his thumb over her bottom lip.
“That’s right, and you better remember it.” he said cockily before lowering his head down for a kiss.
