Ganyu wanted to learn the art of the Adepti as she was half Adeptus. She promised herself that she’d leave the human side and be with the Adepti after learning the art. She had gone to the mountains, searching for Cloud Retainer for help. Ganyu saw her and asked “Cloud Retainer, can you perhaps help me learn the Adeptal art?” to which she replied with “I can not.”
Before Ganyu could reply to that, Cloud Retainer continued on.
“But I know who can help you.”
She told Ganyu to come back there the next day to meet her “trainer.”
The next day, she went back there and sat on the ground, waiting for this person. A few minutes later, she saw a familiar face. Ganyu walked up to this person and tapped them on the shoulder. They turned around and Ganyu saw that it was the Yaksha, Xiao.
“Ah, Adeptus Xiao, are you here to train me?”
to which he replied with
“Yes, I am.”
A bit later, they started to train. 3 hours later, Ganyu was exhausted but pushed herself to keep going. Xiao saw how determined she was which made him want to teach her more.
As days go on, Ganyu slowly understood the art but also, she and Xiao got closer.
A few days later, Ganyu was in the mountains when she hears Lumine and Paimon screaming her name in a distance. They saw her sitting down and went to talk to her.
“Ganyu what are you doing here? Everyone is looking for you in Lihue Harbor” Lumine asked.
“Oh Lumine, I didn’t expect to see you here.” Ganyu went on to explain that she felt like she belong with the humans so she wanted to “fully” become and Adeptus.
“But Ganyu, what about your life in Liyue??” Lumine asked.
“Well, I have decided that I’m going to stay here” Ganyu replied.
She then explained why she chose this path.
“Ganyu, don’t you know how many people will miss you?”
Ganyu stayed silent.
“At least follow me, we’ll go back to Liyue BUT I’m not forcing you to stay, just come with me and I’ll show you how many people truly love you and will miss you if you leave.” Lumine said.
Ganyu agreed to go and follow Lumine.
“By the way Lumine, where’s Paimon? I swear I heard her voice call my name out too?” Ganyu asked.
“Oh she’s still here” Lumine opened her pocket to show a small Paimon sleeping.
“AWW THAT’S SO ADORABLE!!” Ganyu screamed.
“I know right!” Lumine laughed.
