Work Text:
Watching over into the house she wishes her eyes were deceiving her as she sees the walls lined with animal heads on full display each one rarer than the next. This wasn’t just a normal house whoever lived here clearly had a knack for hunting, or more accurately poaching. Naomi gasped at the grotesque sight, she had to tell somebody this wasn’t legal and it most definitely wasn’t going to be happening near where she lived. Reaching for her phone she backed away hurrying to call 911. As the phone started ringing a van pulls up and before she can answer the person who had finally picked up the headlights shine in her direction. She rushes to turn off her phone in hopes of not being heard as if it mattered after the light had shown on her. She knew there was no way she was getting out of this without getting caught. Holding her breath behind the bush that by the luck of god was between her and the car she hears footsteps come out of the car. Her heart drops as they approach her. A strong voice makes her open her eyes.
“Look what we have here, a little girl seems to think she can snoop around.” taking in a gulp Naomi stands doing anything she can to stop her voice from shaking.
“I am not a little girl” she mumbles, in surprise to herself not aware she could muster anything.
“We’ll see about that.” The woman responds. Grabbing onto Naomi’s arm she drags her out of the bush and into the house, Naomi holds her breath as they enter the smell of formaldehyde and bleach strong in the air. The woman shoves her into a chair and calls for the person who was with her in the car to grab her a rope. Tying up Naomi with a smirk on her face.
“Well doll, care to explain what you were doing here, this isn’t exactly a place for kids.”
Naomi, sitting up as straight as she can “ As I said, I am not a child! Regardless I was here because you are bad at your job.”
The woman scoffs “Oh really? How am I bad? I don’t seem to be the one who’s tied up.”
The confidence slowly flowing back into Noami she starts to smile “For one, you chose a heavily populated area to poach animals that are heavily monitored, in a town that has a little wooded area which is heavily searched,” she lets out a chuckle hearing the sirens in the distance. “You chose an area that gets almost no 911 calls and fantastic reception”
The woman’s face started to fall as she begins to hear the sirens behind her slowly growing louder. “You may have called the cops but you can’t seriously think we would let you go?” The women's partner walks up behind Naomi with something that smells faintly of almonds while the fear on her face may have been hidden the women’s heart was racing faster than a horse. As she pried open Naomi’s mouth her assistant poured the unknown substance into her mouth. Leaning forward in hopes of spitting it out Naomi swallows as the doors burst open, her eyes fall shut as she is consumed by darkness.
