It's like a fishbowl, or in our case, a bowl of jellyfish. There is a glass bowl, and jellyfish are inside.
The jellyfish represent every gemstone. The bowl represents the earth.Except a blueish-green gem doesn't fit in the fishbowl, they are...different.

That's what everyone says, but they are the same as the others, just a bit more outgoing and carefree.
The gemstone looks different now, with a black and white striped pattern going down their legs and beautiful golden arms.
What happened to them is what most say now—they miss the old gem who used to nag and bother everyone. It's now dry; nothing new is going on to distract them from their grim tasks.
Could this even be considered the same gem? They are missing their heads. It's now been replaced by a deep blue one! They are now the same as they once were before everything, but they aren't. They try their best to ignore everything, but they can't. At least not anymore.
Mustering the courage to figure out what's wrong and why they have to live like this, they find a new place. One that is outside the bowl they were confined to. It's beautiful but alarming at the same time.
There was freedom all along, but everyone was so afraid.

They decide to show the new world to their friends in hopes of cheering them up. Except the jellyfish that rest inside the bowl, don't know them.

No, they can recognize the gemstone, which was once a pure blueish-green. It's an entirely different person, but they have the same mind as they did. Their is something off about them though; the curiosity is now at its peak, a hope that they can thrive outside of their bowl.
They are different from what the gold-armed gem remembers them as. But this could not be the case; they could just be seeing them fully.
They ask, and ask, and ask. But the blueish-green gem can't remember, or at least that's what the clueless jellyfish think.
There's something dragging them in. There's something about the outside of the fishbowl that draws them in, yet they cannot bring themselves to escape, nor can you, or at least
They can't escape, but they can because they see through the... lies, or perhaps it was the truth twisted to make it sound bad.
realizing that you are not confined to a little bowl anymore. You have the entirety of the outside; no longer will you have to be stuck with jellyfish that are judgmental and hate you. You don't have to follow their rules.
They made it out of the jellyfish bowl with others.

free to do anything they could ever dream of. Of course, they cannot shake old habits without caution.
Exploring the outside world, they learn the truth. The truth about why they were so afraid of the outside. They don't want to go there. But they don't have to be afraid; in fact, it's refreshing.
There is so much we have yet to explore. So much we can learn, so much we can fix! We can help them; we will bring upon a new light, freeing them from their bowl whether they agree upon it or not. This is for the better, and we can establish a new bowl after this is all over; we will have eternity to do so., so why not deal with this now and live out our lives later?
They're're wrong.
Oh, so so wrong
There isn't an outside world. It's another bowl; maybe if the gem looked through the glass, they'd be able to figure that out before it was too late. That final step led them out of the bowl. Onto the cold, hard ground where nothing remains.

Maybe once this eternity is up they can finally get what they wanted in the end, but for now they will loathe the sound of shattering glass and dripping water. That could've been freedom.
