“You know, Mommy told me a lot about you! He’s telling me you’re still important in Japan and should be proud of you, but I told him I already am! Did you know that Zuku and I spent an afternoon choosing my brother’s name? I can’t wait to meet him, daddy !” Hana said, giving a smile as she was telling him her day.

“Hi, it’s been a while, dad. I have a lot to say, but the most important is how my brother is finally here! Mom and I found that Kazumi was a good name, and he’s four yo now. You should see him; he’s like you and has the same red eyes and personality…but he’s my sibling, so I guess I have to live with him. I’m sure you would love him because he loves you a lot! He’s young enough to learn about who his sire was and how amazing he was; at least, it’s what Mom and I try to make him understand.” She sighed. “Kazumi often asks where you are. It’s complicated to answer him, but we keep telling him about how you’re somewhere better and safe. He’s too young to know what happened yet.” Hana smiled sadly, feeling her heart broken at the thought of telling Kazumi the truth.

“Hi, it’s been a while. I know it’s been a mess recently, but I had time to check on you. I hope you’re okay from where you are because we all miss you, especially mom. He kept telling me you’re watching us from where you are, but I wish I could see it myself. I’m 12 now, I’m in middle school, and to be honest and I was scared, and sometimes it’s not easy, but mom told me about his years in middle school. I don’t know a lot about what happened. He just told me that it was difficult for both of you and that it was a part of your journey for some reason. I’m doing my best. I’m trying to stay by Kazumi’s side and help him, but I know I could never be you. He’s just like you every day, and it was a smile you were still with us; it’s funny how the memories you left with you are still here. I hope Mom is right when he says that you never leave us. I tried to convince him to come, but he was distant. I hope one day he’ll have the strength to check on you even if it’s still hard for him…he’s still blaming himself for the accident.”

“I did it and went to UA in hero curse just like you did and graduated! You should’ve seen how Zuku was proud of me, he was smiling, and Kazumi was just happy as him! It was amazing, and I can’t believe I’m finally a pro hero; I have so much to learn, but I wish you were here. It’s been years since you left us. We miss you every day, and I know it’s not enough but talking to you makes me realize how you deserve to know about us. It’s not because you left us that you don’t deserve to know what happened to us. I often found myself thinking about how things would be different if you were here, probably making one of your stupid comments, making Mom roll his eyes and congratulate me with your stupid smirk. I know what you probably think right now, “Stop being stuck in the past and move on brat,” but how can we act as if nothing happened ?”
She made a small smile, feeling tears falling down her freckled cheeks.
“Mom is trying to accept it slowly. He said one day he’ll come here with Kazumi. At home, everything is good…I guess. We’ve been through a lot of things. Kazumi is making crises like a typical teenager and fights with Mom when I try to calm things down. I remember being worried once and wanted to check on Zuki, but all o heard was him sobbing and calling your name, asking you for help and wondering what you’d do if you were still here.” She put flowers on the floor, Katsuki’s favorite. “We’re trying to accept that you’re not here anymore. It’s hard, but that, unfortunately, life. Kazumi asked a lot about you…Maybe I should bring him one day. I love you. We all love you, dad.”

“Hi. It’s been a while. I’m sorry for not coming here, but you know something happened, and I lacked time to see you. I just got married last month, it was an amazing moment, and Mom didn’t lie when he said it was the best moment of your life. I wish you were here when I introduced her to the family, how she’s sweet and caring like mom, and everyone loved her…I’m sure you’ll love her. Everyone was here during the most important day of my life, but one person was missing…you. Kazumi was wondering how he should’ve reacted about me leaving the house because he’s very attached to us, especially the memories of yours we gave him over the years. I remember the day we told him the truth, that day, we all authorized ourselves to cry for the first time after the accident. It was hard to tell, but he understood. He’s not mad at us or even at you. You did it for us and to save us. Mom is still blaming himself for not being able to save you when this building fell. No one could expect it, even the big ones….That day you left us as a hero, not just as “Dynamight,” the number one hero but the amazing, caring, and loving person you were toward your daughter and your pregnant mate. You are, and you will stay the number one in our hearts. I hope you know that.”

“Hi, Dad,” His voice was weak, “It’s strange coming here, but I guess I should thank Hana for that. I was scared to come here because I thought you had left us and I hated you, but then I knew why. I was dumb to believe that, especially when all my life, Mom and Hana told me everything about you, how you were an amazing and loving person. I know how losing a loved one could be hard, I don’t blame them, and I don’t hate you.” He smiles. “All my life, people told me how I was lucky to buy Dynamight’s don, how I should be proud of that, but they told me how you were. How can I know when I never had the chance to meet you? I wish I could go back to the past, mom told me that things happened for a reason, but I know he lied. He never moved on, you know. Hana and I tried to bring him this thing, this light of joy he had in his eyes when he was talking about you and telling us about your childhood and everything you’ve had together. But we couldn’t.” Kazumi smirked. “People often tell me how I look Like you if I’m not a younger version of yourself, and I found this funny. Don’t get me wrong. I’m just finding myself getting jealous sometimes because I never had this chance to share the things we usually share with his father. I know you never meant to hurt us, that you’re important in the family, and we cherished each memory until the end.” He looked around, only to find dead silence. “I know you can hear me somewhere. You’re probably saying I’m a young man now, but I came here because I wanted to tell you something. It’s something I never told to anymore, including Mom and Hana.”
He took the box out of his pocket and smiled brightly.
“Don’t call me sappy, old man. I can see the smirk on your face, the same one you have in old pictures, but you know…I found someone, and I know she’s the one. I grew up with this version of love, but I saw how mom never lied to us. He always told us everything about you and how you loved each other. His eyes shined when he talked about how amazing you were, how he would be, and you’ll be proud of us now. All my life, I have always wanted to reach that kind of love, which never fades with time, no matter what happens. I hate to admit it, but you’re my model; seeing your old fights and how you treated Zuku, making sure he was okay, he was loved, and you could give him the life he wanted and take his happiness first even if you didn’t agree sometimes. I looked for that kind of love my whole life until I found her, and I just knew. I was scared to admit it at first, but then I learned how I deserve to be loved…I found my missing piece just like you and mom.”
Tears fell on his freckles cheeks when his red eyes were blurry.
“I wish you were here to see her; maybe you could give me advice about how this thing works, how everything will be fine, and say how you’ll be proud of me. I miss you more than you could imagine, and I love you.”

“Where are we going, Mommy ?” A little voice asked; the girl was holding Hana’s hands.
“Somewhere important to me, you’ll see. Sweetheart,” she said, kissing her forehead and meeting her wife’s gaze. There was this sweet and heartwarming expression in her eyes, knowing how important it was.
A few minutes later, they were joined by a few people. This time it was Kazumi and his wife; they waved at each other and asked how her pregnancy was going.
Hana and Kazumi shared a glance. It’s been years since they came here, and many things have happened. They were both here for each other the whole time, especially during the tragedy in their family, but they tried their best to support their family, especially Izuku, the most broken one. However, the freckled man never gave up and did his best to make his children happy, ensuring they had anything they wanted and keeping their memories of their dad. They both knew how much he loved them, and he’d be proud of them now, especially the person they became. They had a tough start; it wasn’t easy sometimes, but this never stopped them from learning more about the world; the things the blond left behind were for /them/, and they’ll make sure to make their parents proud.
Hana and Kazumi came with their favorite flowers as they found the familiar place. It’s strange to come here after many years, but they needed to do it; that’s why they held each other’s hands with the same sad gaze.
“Hi, dad….hi, mom.” Hana said, “Sorry for not coming earlier, I know I used to come here when I was younger, but you know, being a pro hero is complicated. I came here with Kazumi and everyone because you both finally found peace.” She looked at her brother with a small smile. “It’s been years now. Dad, you are and will always be our hero, Japan’s hero, and mom’s hero. You’re still important to people, and we’ll cherish your story. Mom…” She felt tears on her cheeks. “Shit, I promised not to cry.” Hana suddenly felt a familiar hand on her hands and met the sad gaze on Kazumi’s face; it somehow gave her strength to continue. “You raised us when we had nobody when dad left us, and you were still the one telling us how to cherish life and everything she could give. You did your best, raised us, taught us how life was full of glow and down, and even listened to us when you came here, talking to Dad for the first time in years. At that moment, we'd never been so proud of you because we knew how hard it was for you, but we saw you and how you were after telling everything you needed to tell. You told us about your stories with Kacchan and took your time. I can’t believe this fucking disease took you away, but even on your deathbed, you told us how you loved us, how we were your biggest pride, how you were smiling in your last moment, and we’ll never forget that.”
Hana’s vision was blurry, but she felt her brother’s presence was comforting. She wasn’t alone.
“We miss you, we miss Dad, and we hope you both found peace from where you are now. Finally, the two lovers are reunited after many years, and I’m sure you’ll watch us. We love you.”
Kazumi felt tears falling down his cheeks as Hana put the flowers, Izuku’s favorite.
“When I came here years ago, I told you how I wanted to have that kind of love, remember Dad? Well, I understand better now. I always admired mom for not giving up on you and saying he lost half of his soul when you left that day. We were his savior, but we know everything was different because you weren’t here.” His voice was weak, but it's been years, and there were so many things he needed to say “ In the end, Mom didn’t lie because he waited for you his whole life, even when you were gone. I admit it, Hana and I were scared, but he never seemed happier, he said he didn’t need anyone, and his last thoughts were about you and us. Maybe he was right. You two were destined to be together.” Kazumi said, putting flowers on the floor, Katsuki’s favorite.
“We miss you every day, but we know you’re both safe. You found each other let’s hope you’ll find each other in another life. We love you, and we’re both proud of you.” Kazumi said in tears when he took Hana in his arms, letting her sob as they both faced Izuku and Katsuki’s graves, one next to the other.
