Izuku ran from the elevator into the Heights Alliance common area, stopping briefly to scan the mostly empty room for his target. A smile broke out across his face once he spotted the familiar spikes of blonde hair and he launched himself in the direction of his grumpy boyfriend.
“Kacchan!” Izuku exclaimed as he threw himself dramatically across Katsuki’s lap, knocking the book he was reading to the floor. Katsuki’s arms wound themselves around the greenette’s waist, catching him and stopping his momentum before he could tumble off the couch.
“Be fuckin careful, nerd. That old bag will beat you with her cane if you end up in her office one more time this week.” Katsuki teased.
“Kacchan, mean!” Izuku pouted, pushing away and moving across the couch, crossing his arms and harrumphing in false indignity. “Besides,” he retorted, “Recovery Girl and I are friends now! We play Uno and she’s teaching me how to knit!”
Katsuki smirked and let out a sharp laugh, “Aren’t you supposed to be training to become number one instead of training for your life in a home for old farts?”
“Hmmph,” Izuku stuck out his bottom lip even further and turned his head away from the blonde. Katsuki smiled fondly at his stubborn boyfriend, while the freckled boy looked pointedly up at the ceiling, disregarding Katsuki completely. He felt a mischievous grin spread across his face and began to crawl towards Izuku on the couch.
“Izukuuu,” he purred as he prowled, priding himself at the sight of the flush spreading across the greenette’s cheeks and ears. “Why won’t you look at me, Zuku baby?”
Izuku’s composure cracked, his eyes darting over to the blonde for just a second.
But that was all the time Katsuki needed.
He pounced on the smaller boy, smothering his cheeks with kisses and tickling his sides.
“Kacch-AH!” Izuku yelped, giggling uncontrollably at the loving assault. “Kacchan! Pl-please! No more!” He stuttered out, gasping for air and struggling half heartedly against his boyfriend’s ministrations.
“Not until you tell me I’m the number one boyfriend!” He shouted, continuing his attack.
“You’re the-AHAH, you’re the number one boyfriend!!“ Izuku snorted and was overtaken by a wave of laughter, cheeks flushed and tears coming out of his eyes.
“Damn straight.” The blonde huffed proudly, heeding the greenette’s surrender. He gently wiped the tears off the smaller boy’s cheeks and pressed their foreheads together. Izuku caught his breath as he gazed into the vermillion eyes looking at him with adoration. He laced their fingers together, tilted his head, and kissed his Kacchan deeply. Of course the two had kissed before, but this one felt different. As their lips continued their dance, Izuku felt his heart swell, becoming overwhelmed with an intense feeling that he couldn’t quite place.
Startled by the wet feeling against his cheeks, the blonde pulled back to look at Izuku. Katsuki lightly caressed the boy’s face with his thumb, and stared down at him with concern.
“Izuku? Baby, what’s wrong?” He whispered gently.
“Nothing Kacchan, I just-“ the boy sniffles, cutting himself off before stopping to think about why he was crying.
He wasn’t upset. He wasn’t sad. He wasn’t angry. What was this feeling in his.. oh…
Oh.
Izuku’s heart began to race as he identified the familiar yet completely new feeling in his chest. With a burst of energy, he grabbed the blonde’s face and kissed him deeply, trying to convey exactly what he felt through their lips. Katsuki melted into the kiss, shoulders relaxing and fingers tangling into curly green hair. When the two pulled apart, Izuku gazed up at Katsuki, and began to speak.
“Kacchan, I-“
“Izuku, I’m in love with you.”
Izuku sputtered, looking at his boyfriend in shock and began to giggle uncontrollably. Katsuki blushed deeply, embarrassment obvious on his face. He scowled and flicked Izuku on the forehead, “Oi asshole, what’s so fuckin funny, hah??”
“Ow- Kacchan!” Izuku exclaimed through his giggles, rubbing the new red spot on his forehead.
“Are you looking down on me or something, shitnerd?” Katsuki asked defensively, pinching the freckled boy’s nose when he still wouldn’t stop laughing.
“No! Kacchan stob it! Lebbe go!”
“Not until you tell me why you fuckin laughed at me!” the blonde pouted, wiggling Izuku’s face back and forth in emphasis.
“I wasn’t laughing at you!” Izuku blurted out in a nasally voice, waving his hands in denial. “I’m laughing because I was about to tell you I lobe you!”
Katsuki released the boy’s nose, looking down at him with a soft expression.
“Say it again,” he asked tenderly.
Izuku smiled up at the blonde, reaching up and holding his Kacchan’s face fondly.
“Kacchan, I love you.”
Katsuki flushed and smiled brightly, an expression not often seen on the explosive boy’s face. He leaned down to kiss his boyfriend passionately, the two of them basking in the feeling of loving and being loved.
