Chapter Text
She arrives with a man she has known and a place she had known for a long time.
As she arrives, Abuela greets them with a smile. “Long time no see Valeria.”
“You two Abuela, I came here because I can feel in the force that something bad happened here.”
Abuela, struggling managed to find her words to her, she lost hope of finding them at this point. They have their duties but with recent events, it seems unlikely.
“All Felix’s children went missing a few days ago, and we would like your help finding them.”
“Even Camilo?” Words slipped Valeria's mouth as she remember how close she and Camilo were.
“Yes, your best friend Camilo, along with Antonio and Dolores.”
She felt slight guilt, about how she left him behind and how she failed to protect him. Her relationship with Rex also reminded her of her relationship with Camilo and how they should be there for each other and she failed that.
Valeria nods. “I’ll try my best to find them.”
“Thank you.”
Abuela soon notices a man beside her, with armor of some sort. He has a big blue shoulder pad as well as a decorated helmet with crosses and some paint. He had no hair, his face was of a soldier with a stern expression just like hers. On his waist was something she could not make out. And below was some sort of black skirt that doesn’t go all the way around.
Glancing at him “And who this may be?”
Upon realization, she quickly introduces him. “This is Captain Rex, one of the best men in the galaxy and a friend. He would also be helping me today.” Rex quickly stood at attention when introduced.
“It’s nice we get some extra help.” Abuela smiled at the sight of him, her hopes were getting higher.
“We will try out best, we would not fail you … er… ma’am.” Rex almost stuttered at the last moment, he was used to calling everyone ‘Sir’ regardless of their gender. He was only getting used to it when both Valeria and Ashoka were annoyed or confused.
While on a journey to Encanto, he received notice that he was on a mission alone with Valeria and since Encanto was her main home, she had to remind him to stay focused on the mission. Rex mainly understood her orders, after all he was alone with no other clones. This should be easy as he does not have to worry about his brothers.
The only obstacle was that Encanto was a city with no technology, which means communication would be difficult.
He also received advice from Boil and Waxer about dealing with children though he wonders why they bother to tell him. Probably because Valeria also told them about the mission, which involves children.
