Summary
Once upon a time Oikawa knew every single thing about Iwaizumi Hajime. He is planted elsewhere now, however, details slipping away from memory, minuscule changes being glossed over one by one, until they are both completely changed people who don’t know each other at all. Until Iwaizumi is not the person Oikawa fell in love with anymore. The ship of Theseus is a paradox regarding identity over time. One version, positing a scenario in which all the parts of a ship are replaced gradually and one at a time, poses this question: Is the ship that exists after the replacements still fundamentally the same ship as the one that existed before the replacements?
Hinata Shouyou might just be the answer to Oikawa's paradox.
